LAZYDAYS AND GENERAL RV COMPLETE MESA, ARIZONA TRANSACTION
TAMPA, Fla., May 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Lazydays Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQCM: GORV) ('Lazydays' or the 'Company') announced today that it has closed on the asset sale of its Mesa, Arizona location to General R.V. Center, Inc. ('General RV'). The companies expect to complete the remaining two divestitures in Longmont, Colorado and Fort Pierce, Florida in the coming weeks.

Denver metro area fights auto thefts with high-tech solution, free prevention program
As auto theft continues to impact drivers across Colorado, one local police department is stepping up with a high-tech solution, and residents are taking notice. Doug Hall, a Ford F-150 owner, knows the risks all too well. "I drive a Ford F-150, which is on the list of top vehicles stolen in the Denver metro area," he said. "If we go out to dinner, obviously the vehicle is parked there, and it's subject to theft!" CBS So, when Hall saw a post on social media about "Westy Trax," a free auto theft prevention and recovery program from the Westminster Police Department, he didn't hesitate. "I was excited about signing up, and fortunately, I was able to be here today to get my tag in my vehicle." The program provides drivers with tracking devices like Apple AirTags to discreetly install in their vehicles, making it easier to recover stolen cars and deter theft altogether. "We are rolling out our Westy Trax auto theft prevention program. We're providing AirTags and tags to possible victims of auto theft," explained Westminster Police Detective Dustin LeDoux. CBS The program comes on the heels of promising results. Between 2023 and 2024, Westminster saw a 21% decrease in auto thefts and has achieved an 86% recovery rate so far in 2025. "We want to continue to help folks make the best decisions with the information available to help keep their cars safe," said Kale Gould with the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority. Saturday morning's installation event filled up quickly, with all available slots claimed. But Westminster PD says this won't be the last opportunity. Trooper Stops Semi With Cars Strapped on Top of Dump Trailer, Says It's Fine
The latest car news, reviews, and features. Any trucker will tell you that if the DOT can find a reason to write you a ticket, they will. That's what makes this commercial vehicle stop in Arizona almost mindboggling. Last Saturday, June 14, an Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper spotted this semi pulling a dump trailer through Phoenix with no taillights and two cars strapped on top. Obviously concerned by what they saw, they phoned in a commercial vehicle inspector who deemed the setup legal (minus the taillights) and seemingly sent the driver on their way. How? According to a Facebook post by the Arizona DPS, they determined that the load met the minimum tie-down requirements. You might fault the driver for the concept, but you can't fault them for the execution. Inside, or rather, on top of the dump trailer, was a Chevy Tahoe and a Lincoln MK… something. That's either an MKX or MKT; it's tough to tell from the dark photo and the limited angle. Both vehicles had wooden blocks under their axles, and the Tahoe was missing its rear wheels while the Lincoln was missing all four. Taut chains and straps are visible in the dimly lit pictures, running through each car's undercarriage to keep them firmly fastened to the trailer. I still hesitate to call this safe, given the increased height and the likelihood of finding a low-hanging interstate bridge, but I have to hand it to whoever loaded the trailer. As crazy as it looks, it's still better than the skidsteers and other heavy equipment you see being pulled around by pickups with only a strap or two holding them in place. At least if this rig tips over, the cars are more than likely staying on it—the same can't be said for Charlie Contractor, whose Bobcat is bound to go flying across the median. There are undoubtedly better and more orthodox ways to haul a pair of broken cars to the scrapyard. That said, if it's good enough for the Arizona DPS, then who am I to judge? What's next for Bahama Breeze? Owners say big change is coming.
Owners of the Bahama Breeze restaurant chain signaled this week that the brand is no longer a priority, and they are considering selling the Caribbean-inspired chain a little over a month after shuttering over a dozen locations. Darden Restaurants CEO Ricardo Cardenas said in an earnings call on Friday, June 20 that they "will be considering strategic alternatives" for Bahama Breeze, such as selling the brand to a new owner or "converting restaurants to other Darden brands." The company's portfolio incudes Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Ruth's Chris Steak House and Yard House, among others. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle. "After further review, we have made the difficult decision that these remaining locations and the Bahama Breeze brand are not a strategic priority for us," Cardenas said in the call. The company abruptly closed down 15 restaurant locations in mid-May, leaving what they call their 28 "highest performing" restaurants currently in operation. The company has not issued a projected timeline of either a sale or restaurant conversions and has not disclosed if there is an interested buyer. Cardenas said the company does not expect a potential sale to have a "material impact" on their financial results. The restaurants first opened in the 90's in Florida, where half of their remaining locations remain. Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia all have two locations, according to the chain's website, while the states of Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, South Carolina and Washington have one location.
