Syracuse four-star offensive tackle commit Javeion Cooper set to visit Nebraska
A current four-star Syracuse commit is officially visiting the Huskers this week. Offensive tackle Javeion Cooper is set to visit Lincoln this weekend following trips to Florida State, UCF and Syracuse.
Cooper committed to the Orange in December but continues taking official visits entering the summer. The Melbourne, Florida native holds multiple offers from across the nation, including Penn State, Florida State and UCF. He received an offer from Nebraska in April.
He is ranked 357th in the 2026 recruiting class and is the No. 28 offensive tackle in the country, standing at 6-foot-4, 295 pounds. Cooper currently plays for Melbourne Central Catholic, a team that finished 8-3 in 2024 and fell in the FHSAA 1A Regional Quarterfinals.
He visits Nebraska alongside a slew of other recruits, including several from the state of Florida. The Florida recruits include cornerback Danny Odem, wide receiver Larry Miles and safety Devin Jackson.

Nebraska football target cancels ACC visit Class of 2026 Nebraska football recruit Kamron Wilson has canceled his visit to Florida State. He is going to return to Syracuse this weekend, according to a report from 247Sports' Mike McAllister. Wilson has been on the Huskers' recruiting board for the past couple of months. Most recently, he visited Lincoln on June 6. That was an official visit. He took a visit to Syracuse on March 29 and committed the following day. Wilson is the No. 45 overall edge defender in the 2026 class, and the No. 62 overall player in his class from the state of Florida per the On3 Industry Rankings. The edge defender recorded 117 tackles and 17 sacks last season for Miami Southridge, according to statistics from This could be an interesting development for Nebraska as Syracuse tries to strengthen their commitment with Wilson. The Oklahoma Sooners quarterback situation has been a roller coaster ride in the 2026 recruiting class. The Sooners have a four-star quarterback, Jaden O'Neal, committed to the class. He's been pledged to OU since last summer. However, Ben Arbuckle and Oklahoma's pursuit of four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley has put that commitment on shaky ground. O'Neal originally committed to former offensive coordinator Seth Littrell, but remained committed to the Sooners throughout the offensive coordinator turnover that brought Arbuckle to Norman. Though unlikely, Oklahoma was able to keep O'Neal committed even as it pursued Bentley. But that commitment may not stick much longer. O'Neal just completed an official visit to Tallahassee with the Florida State Seminoles, a place the four-star prospect has visited twice over the last few months. Not long after the visit, Zach Blostein of Noles247 issued a crystal ball prediction, expecting O'Neal to flip his commitment to Florida State. "To see that energy displayed time and time again, it shows the consistency," O'Neal told Noles247. "And the support staff around him as well, it shows that he knows what he's doing. He has a couple vets in there, a couple Pro Bowlers. Coach knows what he's doing." Head coach Mike Norvell, offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, and the Seminoles have heavily pursued O'Neal over the last six months, hoping to pull him away from the Sooners. Though there hasn't been any decision made, Florida State looks like it has made a major play to get the blue-chip prospect away from OU.
