Tyreek Hill brutally mocks Noah Lyles after Olympic champion cancelled race over mysterious 'personal reasons'
Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill has gone on the offensive since American sprinter Noah Lyles dropped out of their proposed 100-meter foot race due to 'personal reasons.'
Lyles, who won gold in the 100-meter dash at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has long been taunted by Hill, an NFL speedster who refers to himself as 'Cheetah.' The 27-year-old track-and-field star ultimately agreed to race the 31-year-old Hill, but has since reneged on that promise, as he explained at the Stagwell's Sport Beach at Cannes Lions on Monday.
'We were very deep into creating the event. In fact, it was supposed to happen this weekend,' Lyles said. 'Unfortunately there were some things, complications, personal reasons that it just didn't come to pass, but we were full on.
'We were gonna have a big event, we were going to shut down New York Times Square and everything, we were gonna have all the billboards for the event, it was going to be a lot of fun.'
Hill, who recently posted a 10.15-second 100-meter performance at the Last Chance Sprint Series, has now responded on social media.
First, the former Super Bowl champion posted the Homer Simpson meme, showing the beloved Simpsons character disappearing into some bushes alongside the caption: '[Lyles] after seeing me race last weekend.'
Hill also posted pictures of himself on a track with a sign reading: 'Noah Could Never.'
He included another comment in a caption: 'I was right.'
As impressive as Hill's second-place finish was at the Last Chance Sprint Series, his time of 10.15 may not be good enough to beat Lyles, who has a personal best in the event of 9.79 seconds.
Hill has undergone multiple surgeries this offseason to correct a wrist injury.
His future with the Dolphins remains uncertain after he appeared to take himself out of a game at the end of the 2024 campaign. However, Hill was among the attendees this week as the Dolphins went through OTAs in Miami.
He's also faced his share of legal problems this offseason.

Hill still faces a lawsuit from a model and influencer, who claims broke her leg during a football lesson at his house in 2023. More recently, wife Keeta Vaccaro, 33, filed for divorce from Hill a day after cops responded to reports of an 'assault in progress' at the couple's luxury Miami condo on April 7.
He allegedly hurled a laptop onto the floor and was 'aggressive and impulsive' according to Vaccaro's mother Alesia - but police determined that 'no crime was committed'.
In another court filing, Vaccaro said the Dolphins wideout disappeared for several days before returning to their Miami apartment on April 17 to 'unilaterally remove' their four-month-old daughter, Capri.
'The Husband returned to the home and announced that he was taking the baby, over the objections of the Wife who had invited him to spend time with the baby,' says the 'emergency' motion, filed within hours of the latest spat.
'When the police arrived, the police told the Wife that she had no choice except to let the Husband take the baby, and so she did.'
Hill is reported to be the father of as many as a dozen children, including five in the last year alone.

Manchester City vs Al Ain predictions: Club World Cup tips and odds
Our expert has three tips for the Club World Cup contest between Manchester City and Al Ain at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia (2am Monday BST kick-off). We think the Light Blues will rack up the goals against their UAE Pro League counterparts. Manchester City vs Al Ain tips Manchester City -2 goals on handicap @ 4/5 with Sky Bet Phil Foden to score @ 5/4 with Sky Bet Over 1.5 first-half goals @ evens with Sky Bet Odds courtesy of Sky Bet. Correct at the time of publication and subject to change. Already a Sky Bet member? Check out more free bets from the best betting sites, reviewed by our experts. City unlikely to hold back The Premier League side comfortably justified being tipped as favourites in a 2-0 win over Moroccan club Wydad in their first game at the Club World Cup. Now they have settled into the tournament, they could have an even more comprehensive victory over Al Ain. City took the lead after just two minutes in their Group G opener, dominating the affair in Philadelphia, and they look overpriced at -2 goals on the handicap – in other words to win by at least three goals – against Al Ain at 4/5. Debutants Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki looked sharp and there are plenty of City players waiting in the wings and wanting to impress boss Pep Guardiola. Al Ain were destroyed 5-0 by Juventus last time out, conceding all those goals by the 58th minute, and could have a tough time against an even stronger City outfit. Foden can net again Midfielder Phil Foden did not enjoy his best season in a City shirt last season but he started his Club World Cup campaign on the front foot, impressing as the team's key creative outlet in their victory over Wydad. Foden scored and assisted in the game but also managed four shots, three of which were on target, and he is a good bet to score at 5/4 against Al Ain. Guardiola could make sweeping changes for this contest but Foden will surely keep his spot after finally showing some form. He can profit if the floodgates open. Fast start again from Guardiola's men The Light Blues scored both of their goals in victory over Wydad before the interval, and over 1.5 first-half goals appeals again at evens with Sky Bet. It was evident from City's approach that they wanted to get the game against Wydad wrapped up quickly in order to rotate personnel, and the same could be true in this contest. Guardiola's side are typically fast starters anyway, netting a league-high 41 first-half goals in last season's Premier League, and Al Ain were 3-0 down after just 31 minutes against Juventus in their tournament opener. Embarrassing moment cop fails to recognize NFL Draft flop Shedeur Sanders after catching him speeding
Shedeur Sanders was forced to explain who he is to an Ohio cop who recently pulled over the NFL rookie for speeding. The 23-year-old is the son of ex-NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders. The quarterback was recently selected by the Cleveland Browns following a humiliating slide to the fifth round of the NFL draft. Since then, Sanders has continued to make headlines for the wrong reasons. Twice this month the quarterback has been pulled over for speeding. One of the incidents saw Sanders stopped for allegedly going 91mph in a 65mph zone in Medina County, Ohio. It came on June 5, with the rookie pulled over in the Cleveland suburb of Brunswick Hills by the Ohio State Patrol. In new footage, obtained by TMZ, the 23-year-old is seen handing over an out-of-state ID to a trooper, who asks: 'What's with the Mississippi ID?' Sanders then explains that he used to play college football in Jackson. He was the quarterback at Jackson State before moving to Colorado with his father. 'He doesn't know who you are,' the other cop told the 23-year-old before his partner joined the dots. 'Oh. Sanders. Gotcha,' he said. Sanders' fame did not save him from punishment, however. He faces $269 in fines and court costs over the incident but failed to show in court for his arraignment, according to The arraignment was scheduled for June 16 and just one day later he was pulled over again. The Browns rookie was reportedly cited for speeding over 100mph in Cleveland. Local news station Fox9 claims Sanders, who was infamously selected 144th overall at this year's NFL Draft despite initially being projected as a first-round pick, was pulled over by an officer at around 12:24 am in the Cleveland suburb of Strongsville on Tuesday, June 17. The 23-year-old quarterback was allegedly clocked driving at 101mph, 41 miles over the speed limit.
