Elizabeth Olsen has officially joined Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac in Flesh of the Gods , a neon-lit vampire thriller that sounds like it was ripped straight from a fever dream.
Directed by Mandy 's Panos Cosmatos, the film is set in a stylized version of 1980s Los Angeles. Isaac and Stewart will portray Raoul and Alex, 'a married couple in glittering '80s L.A. who descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm.
'When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic Nameless (Olsen) and her hard-partying cabal, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills and violence.'
The script comes from Se7en writer Andrew Kevin Walker, and it's based on a story he developed with Cosmatos. The project is backed by a producing team that includes Adam McKay and Betsy Koch of Hyperobject Industries, as well as Gena Konstantinakos and Oscar Isaac for Mad Gene Media.
The film also serves as a kind of vampire homecoming for Stewart, who famously starred in Twilight . But this is no sparkly teen romance. It's clear Flesh of the Gods is going for something stranger, darker, and far more stylistically intense.
There's no official production start date yet.

New Jersey-based dietitian Erin Palinski-Wade told Fox News Digital she encourages incorporating ketchup into more meals. 'You need ketchup on your hot dog,' she said, sharing her insights as 'a registered dietitian and mom of three,' she added. 'Not only does it enhance the flavor, but adding ketchup offers some real health benefits.' The dietitian said ketchup contains high amounts of lycopene, which has cancer-fighting properties. '[These] benefits [are] thanks to its high content of lycopene, which is more bioavailable in ketchup versus raw tomatoes due to the cooking process involved in making ketchup.' Palinski-Wade added, 'Studies link higher dietary intake of lycopene from tomatoes and ketchup with a reduced risk of stomach and prostate cancer, thanks to lycopene's antioxidant and anticancer properties.' ‘Elbows Up' anthology to include prominent patriots Margaret Atwood, Jay Baruchel, Atom Egoyan
TORONTO - An upcoming anthology to meet the recent swell in national pride will include essays by prominent Canadians including writers Margaret Atwood and Omar El Akkad, as well as filmmakers Atom Egoyan and Jay Baruchel. Its publisher McClelland & Stewart says 'Elbows Up!: Canadian Voices of Resilience and Resistance' will examine our relationship with the United States and ourselves. McClelland & Stewart publisher Stephanie Sinclair says she felt 'an urgent need' to create a time capsule that captures a pivotal period of history. She says it was inspired by the 1968 collection 'The New Romans: Candid Canadian Opinions of the U.S.' It will feature excerpts from 'The New Romans,' including one by Atwood — who will also supply a new piece — and works by late writers Margaret Laurence, Farley Mowat and Mordecai Richler. The book will be edited by CBC broadcaster Elamin Abdelmahmoud, and is set for release Oct. 14. New works will also come from writers Jeanne Beker, Niigaan Sinclair, Catherine Hernandez, Canisia Lubrin and Ann-Marie MacDonald. Another comes from Ken Dryden that was previously published in the Atlantic. 'This is a book that will be talked about for decades to come,' Sinclair said Thursday in a release. 'At the moment, I'm doing a covers album of all the songs I've ever wanted to cover—doing it with my band and recording it in my gym,' he told the magazine. 'I'm supposed to do a country album, which the record company would like me to do. And we're working on a Faces album, so that's three projects that have got to be done.'
