It is the ninth time it has been named the best in more than 25 years of the annual Skytrax Awards.

Not only that, but it was also named the Best Airlines in the Middle East - and having the best business class in the world.
Qatar Airways' CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer said: "To retain this title in a highly competitive and ever-evolving global industry reflects the relentless efforts across every part of the business, from the frontline to behind the scenes, the passion and commitment of our people continue to set new standards in aviation.'
And we have been lucky enough to fly with them when travelling to Sri Lanka, stopping in Doha along the way - testing out both their business and economy classes.
I tried out their the airline's Qsuite, the leader when it came to business class seats, being one of the first to have a sliding door (introduced in 2016).

GROUNDED Budget airlines scraps all flights to the US just three years after launching
I've always been a budget traveller, never understanding why someone would fork out money to get from A to B.
But, three years after flying with Qatar Airways, it is still something I talk about to friends.
It feels like a hotel room in the sky (so much so that it became a highlight of my trip - perhaps even more than some parts of the holiday itself).
While you would expect all business class seats to be amazing, I can say that they are not all made the same (with two airlines I won't name barely being better than premium economy...)
Staff are extremely friendly, their non-alcoholic lemon and mint mocktail has a huge following online for being so delicious and I had enough movie choices to keep me busy the entire flight.
While business class is never affordable, the route from London Heathrow to Doha is an option for a special occasion spend.

Tickets can be found for around £1,800, which will be in the special Qsuite.
It is certainly a great way to end a bucket list holiday.
Perhaps controversially, the airline doesn't have a premium economy, only offering First, Business and Economy.
But it's not just their business class that was amazing - the Sun's Assistant Travel Editor Sophie Swietochowski also tried out the airline's economy cabin.
She said: "Economy seats in Qatar Airways' newer aircrafts feel much roomier than those on other airlines I've travelled with.
"The design is sleek and stylish and there are conveniently-placed USB ports for charging your devices, but that's not what makes the carrier standout.
"For me, the highlight of flying Qatar Airways is the service.
"As with most Middle Eastern airlines, customer care is a step above the rest.
"Staff are diligent and eager to please, ensuring that you're well looked after and refreshed throughout the journey.
"All in all it makes for a more comfortable experience."
Flights in economy are much cheaper, thankfully, with routes from London to Doha from £474 return.
Here are some of our other airline reviews, including the airline with the best food.

The Lions head Down Under! Maro Itoje leads his squad to Australia... flying in the world's most luxurious suites
The Lions journey to Australia has finally begun after the players took off from Dublin on Saturday morning. Just hours after Friday night's defeat by Argentina, the squad bedded down in their luxury Qsuites on a Qatar Airways flight to Perth. The squad will stop off in Doha, before continuing their journey to the Southern Hemisphere for their opening tour match against Western Force. After a game of cards at the airport, Maro Itoje led his team on board, suited and booted, promising improvements as he plots to lead the side to victory Down Under. He was followed on board by back-row Henry Pollock who, as the youngest player in the squad, is responsible for carrying BIL the lion teddy throughout the tour. Andy Farrell is likely to rotate his side for the opening match at the Optus Stadium, where 40,000 tickets have already been sold for the curtain raiser. Title-winning players from Leinster and Bath are likely to feature, with the likes of No 10 Finn Russell all due game time. 'We land Sunday night in Perth, I imagine on Monday morning we'll have something getting us up and going again,' said Russell. 'So I think getting a schedule or a routine as soon as you get there is pretty important. 'But the guys who will be looking after that and trying to give us a plan for when we sleep on the flight, they've had it planned out for longer than we think.'

Leading car brand launches new SUV that looks just like a Land Rover but only costs £9,000
Scroll down to see the motors impressive features WHEEL DEAL Leading car brand launches new SUV that looks just like a Land Rover but only costs £9,000 Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A LEADING car brand has launched a new SUV that looks just like a Land Rover and is easier on the wallet. The Chinese car firm have obviously taken inspiration from one of the biggest SUV brands on the market but for a fraction of the price. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 The Chinese model is eerily similar to a Land Rover Credit: David Shepherd Chery's 2026 Tiggo 7 Sport and Tiggo 7 Plus have been unveiled with both designs looking almost identical to Range Rover's hugely popular Evoque. But it has one major advantage over its European competitors as its set to hit the roads for £9,000. Pricing for the new Tiggo 7 Sports starts at 87,900 yuan in Asia, or around £9,100. The higher end Tiggo 7 Plus is priced slightly higher at 91,900 yuan or £9,400. Compare that to a brand new Evoque and you're looking at an eye-watering £44,000 with costs even exceeding the £50,000 mark in some instances. It's still not as cheap if you purchase a second-hand Evoque which come in at around £20,000. The new Tiggo is not yet sold in Europe and prices are likely to be higher when the model is eventually made available due to importing costs. But British motorists will be happy to hear that, because of the lack of tariffs on brand-new Chinese cars, they will likely pay considerably less than their US or EU counterparts. In Australia, the Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid has been made available with models hitting the market for $39,990. That would equate to around £19,000 in the UK but this is still cheaper than many Western-build SUVs. The Tiggo 7 is available in a range of fuel types including mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric options. But those keen on getting their hands on one may have to wait a while as Chery intends to first expand to Eastern European markets. Eastern European nations could see a launch in the second half of this year with an initial focus on midsize plug-in hybrid models. The Tiggo 7 Sport comes with a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine variant delivering 115 kW with a six-speed dual clutch transmission. I restored a classic car I found at a scrapyard – now it's award-winning The model also comes with a mesh grille, concealed door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, buyers will find a 13.2 inch screen and a multifunction steering wheel. Spend a bit more for a higher-spec model and you'll see higher end features included such as a panoramic sunroof and ventilated front passenger seat. Chery, the largest exporter of cars from China for the past 22 years, exported 1.14 million vehicles globally in 2024. It was announced last year that Chery was set to launch five new models in the UK markets to rival Kia. Chery decided to launch as a standalone brand despite a pre-existing partnership with British firm Jaguar Land Rover.
