SS Rajamouli warns against filming Indian Armed Force amid India-Pakistan conflict: 'You might be helping enemy'

RRR director SS Rajamouli has praised the Indian Armed Forces for their courage and heroism amid the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict. However, he also urged people not to film the Indian Armed Forces and share them on social media, owing to the sensitive situation.
Rajamouli posted on X, formerly Twitter and saluted the Indian Armed Forces. He wrote, 'Saluting our Brave Indian Armed Forces for their unwavering courage in protecting our nation from terrorism. Let's stand together as a nation, inspired by their valor, to build a future of peace and unity. Jai Hind!'
'If you see any movement of the Indian Army, don't take pictures or videos. Don't share them as you might be helping the enemy. Stop forwarding unverified news or claims. You'll only create noise, which the enemy wants. Stay calm, alert and positive. Victory is ours," the director, who is also known for Baahubali, added.
His post arrived after the Ministry of Defence directed against sharing real-time reporting of operations amid the conflict.
The Defence Ministry posted on X, 'All media channels, digital platforms and individuals are advised to refrain from live coverage or real-time reporting of defence operations and movement of security forces. Disclosure of such sensitive or source-based information may jeopardize operational effectiveness and endanger lives.'
'Past incidents like the #KargilWar, 26/11 attacks, and the #Kandahar hijacking underscore the risks of premature reporting. As per clause 6(1)(p) of the Cable Television Networks (Amendment) Rules, 2021, only periodic briefings by designated officials are permitted during anti-terror operations. All stakeholders are urged to exercise vigilance, sensitivity, and responsibility in coverage, upholding the highest standards in the service of the nation," it further mentioned.
The latest confrontation escalated tension between India and Pakistan when Pakistan targeted areas in Jammu, Punjab, and Rajasthan, as confirmed by the Ministry of Defence.
Colonel Qureshi said during the press briefing, "On the night of May 7 and 8, the Pakistani army violated Indian airspace several times over the entire western border with the intention of targeting military infrastructure. Not only this, the Pakistani army also fired heavy-calibre weapons along the Line of Control. Around 300 to 400 drones were used to attempt infiltration at 36 locations."

Last Updated: Hania Aamir, who was also accused of making anti-India remarks after Operation Sindoor, continues to face online backlash. Diljit Dosanjh has sparked fresh speculation with a cryptic Instagram Story that read, 'Censored before release?" The post, which refers to his long-delayed film Punjab 95, comes at a time when the singer-actor is under fire for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3. The horror-comedy, which is the third installment in the Sardaar Ji franchise, is skipping a theatrical release in India and will premiere overseas on Friday, June 27. This move follows criticism over Hania's casting and heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after the April 22 terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir's Pahalgam and India's retaliatory Operation Sindoor on May 7. Punjab 95, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, has faced multiple delays and censorship hurdles. The film, which highlights extra-judicial killings of Sikh men in the late 1990s, was denied release earlier this year after the Censor Board proposed 120 cuts. View this post on Instagram A post shared by DILJIT DOSANJH (@diljitdosanjh) Khalra's widow, Paramjit Kaur Khalra, had opposed the cuts, stating, 'The biopic on my husband's life was made with the family's consent and should be released without any cuts." Earlier in January, Diljit's team and the film's producer Honey Trehan announced the postponement of Punjab 95, stating, 'The movie Punjab '95 will not release on 7th Feb due to circumstances beyond our control." Meanwhile, the casting of Hania Aamir has drawn further criticism after several Pakistani celebrities' Instagram accounts including Hania, Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed, and Ali Zafar were blocked in India following a legal request post the Pahalgam attack. Hania, who was also accused of making anti-India remarks after Operation Sindoor, continues to face online backlash. Film bodies like the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) have reiterated their stance against Pakistani artists working in Indian productions.
