EXCLUSIVE Married At First Sight's Brent Vitiello lashes out at critics amid wellness brand scandal as furious customers accuse him of running a 'scam' - but fails to take responsibility

Daily Mail05-05-2025

Once a fan favourite, Brent Vitiello is now at the centre of an explosive scandal - and his latest statement may only pour fuel on the fire.
The former Married At First Sight groom, 36, has broken his silence to Daily Mail Australia after months of mounting pressure over his controversial wellness brand Mos X Daily, which has been slammed by dozens of customers for allegedly taking their money and delivering nothing in return.
But rather than apologising or offering compensation, Vitiello dismissed the backlash as 'the same story, same complaints' - insisting he will 'fix it' in his own time.
Despite a public warning issued by NSW Fair Trading in March advising Australians not to deal with his company, and 45 official complaints lodged over undelivered goods and poor communication, Vitiello remains defiant.
Vitiello did not acknowledge, however, the growing number of Aussies who say they've waited up to six months for their orders - with many claiming they never received a single update, let alone a refund.
Even now, the Mos X Daily website is live and accepting payments, despite NSW Fair Trading urging consumers to steer clear.
The government body has also questioned the brand's supposed charitable donations, saying it has 'not been substantiated' whether any funds were transferred to the One Dollar One Dream foundation.
And while Vitiello told Pedestrian TV in March that his company had fulfilled '30,000 orders for free' and was dealing with a backlog due to production challenges in Timor-Leste, furious buyers dispute this.
Nursing student Ms Watt told Daily Mail Australia she made an order in late 2024 and has still not received anything.
Meanwhile, Gold Coast-based mother of two Christy Miranda said that she has been waiting seven months since she paid the brand $130.
'He was short, rude, unapologetic which shocked me at how uncaring and unprofessional he was...' she explained. 'Brent just didn't care, had a go at me and blocked me.'
When approached for comment about Christy's claims, Brent told Daily Mail Australia: 'I don't read any of these things or watch any videos. It doesn't change the outcome.'
Vitiello insists he's too busy to engage with the criticism.
But for many customers, the 'noise' is no longer just online chatter - it's a call for accountability.

SCAM ALERT🚨 Grab a cup of tea because this is a long one!☕️ (And yes, you'll want the tea for this one, trust me.)😂 I'm not even going to tag the brand because I know this will likely get reported or taken down. But honestly, this has been a long time coming, and I have to share my experience and clearly a LOT of other people's too. The sea moss brand that scammed me and so many others. I'm still getting comments under my old post from people saying it's happened to them to this day! A year later🤯🤯 I've ordered products & work with brands and this is just awful service stealing from your customers is not right… to this day we have never been refunded & tbh couldn't care less says a lot more about the brand itself! If this helps one person avoid this, then sharing this is 100% worth it. Please repost so more people are aware! be so careful of this brand when shopping online🚨🚨 #ScamAlert #FraudAwareness #SeaMossScam #StaySafeOnline #fyp #scamawareness #scam #mosxdaily #seamoss #wellnessbrand

Despite promises to use TikTok daily to update customers, Vitiello has gone quiet again - and it's unclear when, or if, he will make good on his vow to 'fix' the mess.
Until then, consumer advocates are encouraging those affected to come forward and lodge complaints with authorities, with the possibility of collective legal action on the horizon.
NSW Fair Trading has made their position clear: 'Do not place an order or deal with this business.'
Brent has been experiencing problems with the business since he launched it last year - Shortly after its launch, his brand got into hot water when furious customers alleged they were yet set to see their products after paying for them online.
Brent previously said there were issues distributing the sea moss internationally because it spoils after 30 days and they had to switch shipping companies to ensure faster delivery.
He previously claimed that his product has helped 'thousands' of people as he continues to praise his product and its alleged benefits amid the order issues.
Brent rose to fame on the ninth series of MAFS in 2022, where he was famously 'married' to Tamara Djordjevic.
Unfortunately, their ill-fated romance went from bad to worse on the show, before they went their separate ways during their explosive final vows.

The Glasgow food spot that's a 'love letter to Colombia'

Ana says the food stall is more of a 'love story than a business story' and says she and Andres, who comes from Colombia, have the same dream to help people in South America and the Latin community in Glasgow. 'Then we want to help people in South America because we still have a lot of family there and they need clothes, food and money for education so our dream in the future is to create something so we can help our people.' Tammy Hembrow's $50million empire at risk as she announces shock split from husband Matt Zukowski after just seven months of marriage

Tammy Hembrow announced her shock split from her husband of seven months Matt Zukowski in an emotional video on Sunday. But the 31-year-old fitness influencer's staggering $50million net worth could be in jeopardy amid her divorce from the Love Island Australia star. Tammy made her fortune after launching her activewear label Saski Collection in 2017 and her designs are now sold in more than 190 countries. Subscriptions for her Tammy Fit app have also been a success and range from $114.99 a year to $24.99 per month. In addition to her two fitness-related companies, Saski Collection and Tammy Fit, she boasts 17.1million followers on Instagram and 1.31 million subscribers on YouTube. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Tammy also owns a luxurious $2.88million five-bedroom waterfront mansion on the Gold Coast which she purchased in August 2020, before meeting Matt. The property features a deck, located behind glass doors and is set on a gorgeous stretch of water, as well as a pool. Meanwhile, Matt's net worth is unknown but it's believed to be significantly lower. He currently co-hosts his podcast Where's Your Head At? with his ex-girlfriend and fellow Love Island alum Anna McEvoy. Matt has also moved back to Melbourne, where he resumed working for his father's pool business. However, Tammy may be able to avoid a 50/50 asset split as family law in Australia does in some cases focus on each party's financial contributions. Tammy and Matt confirmed their split on Sunday after just seven months of marriage. The Love Island Australia star announced the couple's separation in a sombre Instagram Story, telling fans the decision was not taken lightly. 'It's with a heavy heart I share that Tammy and I have decided to separate,' Matt began. 'Both of us have struggled with making this decision however we need to do what is right for ourselves and her three children. 'This wasn't a decision we took lightly. Our time together will always be cherished and never forgotten,' he added, before thanking fans for their support and asking for privacy. Despite their short-lived marriage, both parties have asked for privacy as they adjust to life post-breakup. 'We appreciate everyone's support and space at this time as we navigate the split,' Matt concluded in his emotional post. Tammy later addressed the split in an emotional TikTok video, telling fans she will be getting a divorce. 'I don't want to get into the details and I want to be sensitive to everyone involved,' she told fans. 'Obviously when you marry someone, you do it thinking that it is going to be forever and I blame no one but myself,' Tammy continued while breaking down in tears. 'I've made not the best choices when it comes to relationships. I'm good at putting on rose-colored glasses. 'Obviously the worst part for me is that I have kids. I don't care about me, I know I will be ok but I feel awful.' The news came less than 24 hours after Matt was spotted spending time with sports journalist Tayla Little at the London Tavern in Melbourne on Saturday night. Tammy, 31, first sparked concern in March after she was spotted crying in a bathroom, while Matt was later overheard allegedly ' talking crap' about his wife at a South Melbourne gym. In the weeks that followed, Matt quietly moved out of the couple's Queensland home and relocated back to Melbourne, where he resumed working for his father's pool business. While Matt continued to co-host his podcast Where's Your Head At? with ex-girlfriend and fellow Love Island alum Anna McEvoy, Tammy was noticeably absent from his social media. Meanwhile, the Gold Coast-based influencer has remained in Queensland with her three children - son Wolf, nine, daughter Saskia, seven, and toddler Posy, three - from previous relationships. Matt was notably missing from several major family events over the past two months, including Tammy's 31st birthday, Posy's fairy-themed third birthday party, and even Easter weekend. Tammy and Matt tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay on November 23. They got engaged in December 2023 following just three months of dating. The jet-setting pair were engaged in the Maldives, before heading off to Greece and Bali for luxury holidays. Tammy has been engaged twice before, the first time to influencer Reece Hawkins, who she shares her son Wolf and daughter Saskia with.
