
TV actor Vibhu Raghave dies after long battle with cancer
Television actor Vibhu Raghave, known for his roles in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, Suvreen Guggal, and Rhythm, passed away on June 2 after a prolonged fight with stage four colon cancer. He was 37.
Diagnosed in 2022, Vibhu had been undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital. Despite the severity of his condition, he remained active on social media, sharing updates about his journey. In one of his last videos, he revealed the cancer had spread to his liver, spine, bones, and lungs, but he remained hopeful: 'The only treatment right now is chemotherapy. Everything is going good now. Chemotherapy will shrink it.'
The news of his death was confirmed by actors Kaveri Priyam and Karan Veer Mehra.
Actor Addite Malik, a close friend, shared an emotional tribute online: 'The purest soul, a beacon of strength & positivity. His smile could light up any room & his presence alone made everything feel better. He faced life with unmatched grace & left behind a love that will never fade. He will be deeply missed. Always.'
She also shared funeral details, inviting friends and well-wishers to pay their respects at his family home in Jogeshwari, Mumbai. His mother, Anupama Raghav, survives him, while his father, Ravindra Kumar Singh, passed away earlier.
Actor Simple Kaul also remembered him, reposting Addite's message and adding, 'Aum Namah Shivay.'
In recent months, Vibhu's close friends, including Addite, Simple, Mohit Malik, and Anjali Anand, launched a crowdfunding campaign to help cover his rising medical costs.
Throughout his illness, Vibhu remained transparent about the challenges he faced. He used his platform to talk about cancer, treatments, and its emotional toll.
