A HUGE car dealership with over 91,000 vehicles currently on sale will close within weeks putting over 100 jobs at risk.
The German online used car marketplace has made heavy losses since opening in the UK in 2019 when it looked to rival Auto Trader and Motors.

Heycar's majority shareholder, Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS), have pulled the plug leaving more than 126 employees across the UK, Germany, and France at risk of losing their jobs.
A large proportion of Heycar's employees are based in the UK.
They are expected to close in the UK shortly after their closure in Germany, expected to be in mid-May.
A VWFS spokesperson confirmed that they "expect we will have to let go of a large portion of Heycar's employees".
However, VWFS did confirm its plans to launch a "new subsidiary" which they hoped would "integrate the technology developed by Heycar' into its wider business".
They also said they were "considering whether some of the UK employees could be taken on by VWFS UK to further expand the user car business in the B2B sector".
Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) was originally the company's largest shareholder at 78 per cent followed by Volkswagen at 13 per cent and Renault at 9 per cent.
According to its most recent accounts, Heycar made a loss of £30m in 2022 followed by a £22.4m loss in 2023.
Its latest annual report also revealed a decrease of £7.4m in revenue for the firm.
According to Car Dealer Magazine, some reports have indicated VWFS have invested more than £250m in Heycar since its launch.
Heycar currently has over 91,000 cars up for sale on its website while market leader Auto Trader has 459,000 and Motors/Cazoo has 234,000.
On the firm's website, it describes itself as 'the place to buy your next car the feel good way' and has been described by a VWFS spokesperson as a 'pioneer in the online used car marketplace'.
It offered an alternative experience to customers by focusing on younger used cars in an attempt to shake up the used car advertising marketplace.
Former CEO, Matt Moakes, previously said of Heycar: "Other online listings businesses are just digital version of newspaper ads.
"That's not Heycar."
He added: "We have features and products that improve the experience whether you're a dealer or a consumer, the latest of which includes our worry-free money back guarantee, and our new Concierge service which helps car buyers take the stress and inconvenience out of car ownership."
Both Heycar and VWFS have been contacted for comment.
The news of Heycar's closure comes as many car dealerships continue to go out of business.

According to Business Rescue Expert there are multiple reasons why car dealerships are folding across the UK.
The first major factor is rising online car sales which are beating in-person sales at dealerships.
With an extensive range of comparison and second-hand sites to chose from, may car buyers don't even step foot into a dealership anymore.
Secondly, the actual cost to physically run the sites has soared.
Rent, wages and energy bills have all been increasing for roughly the past five years, putting many out of pocket.
Car manufacturing across the globe was also hit by a semiconductor chip shortage in 2022 which made it difficult to produce new motors.
The high demand with limited supply created a backlog, which although has eased, is still having an impact on the industry.
A third reason for recent closures is the shift to electric cars.
They are becoming more popular, given the Government initiative to be Net Zero in 2050.
The industry is also affected when companies merge or are bought by rivals.
This may lead to some independent names falling victim to the ongoing spate of closures.
In February, BCA revealed the closure of its Banbury branch in Oxfordshire as hundreds lost their jobs.
Last month, it was reported that a major Volkswagen dealership in Bromborough, Wirral closed down after the US firm which owned the branch, announced major cutbacks.
A family run car dealership in Cambridgeshire, TC Harrison, is also set to close in the coming weeks to make way for a retirement village.

Florian Wirtz has departed Bayer Leverkusen for Liverpool and his exit appears to have been an emotional one as the Bundesliga side paid tribute to Arne Slot's newest signing Bayer Leverkusen delivered a short but emotional message following confirmation that Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz: "Look after him." "Florian never played for himself, he always put the success of the team first. On behalf of everybody, I'd like to say a sincere thank you. Florian Wirtz will always be part of Bayer 04." Despite his enthusiasm over joining Liverpool, Wirtz has conceded his exit comes with mixed emotions. "It's not easy to leave after five and a half great years," he said. "I've experienced unique things and incredible moments here at Leverkusen. The club always supported me and believed in me including during the difficult time with my injury. "I would like to say thank you for that and for the great sympathy shown to me by the management, teammates and all the staff on that day. And I'd like to say to the fans of Bayer 04 who got behind me and the team over all those years: It was an honour for me to do my best. And I'm already looking forward to a reunion on the pitch." But Arne Slot's new signing is pleased to get the move over the line to take on a new challenge. Wirtz is hopeful the Premier League will be perfectly suited to his talents. Florian Wirtz details what Arne Slot did to persuade him to make Liverpool move
Liverpool have sealed the signing of Germany star Florian Wirtz in a club record deal worth an initial £100million, with a further £16m possible in add ons - after Kop boss Arne Slot compelled the player to head to Anfield Florian Wirtz has revealed how Arne Slot turned on the charm to persuade him to make Liverpool his new home. The Germany star has completed a club record move to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen. Liverpool have sealed a deal to pay an initial £100million, with £16m in performance-related add-ons. It is understood Liverpool will be happy to pay these 'aspirational bonuses' as it will mean they have enjoyed considerable success at elite level. If he does indeed hit all those bonuses, it will make Wirtz the most expensive player in British history, surpassing the £115m that Chelsea paid Brighton for midfielder Moises Caicedo. Wirtz, 22, has signed a five-year deal at Anfield - worth £50million. The Reds stepped up as Bayern Munich faltered, their 18-month pursuit coming unstuck as they played games in the German media with regards to what they would be prepared to pay Leverkusen, before Wirtz was left underwhelmed by a final meeting with head coach Vincent Kompany. In stark contrast both he and his family were blown away by Liverpool's pitch and particularly the first meeting with Dutch boss Slot. 'The conversations were always really good,' said Wirtz. 'I can remember the first time [we met] he already showed me some scenes and how he wants to play, how I could fit in the team. 'He was just telling me I'm a player he really wants to have in his team and I can bring the team a step forward, and I could just imagine it would be good to be in the team and to make it better. I have to make my performances every week but I'm here for this.' Wirtz admits he wanted to make a major step up when moving clubs this summer, and believes he has done just that by moving to Merseyside. 'I just thought that it was the right point in my career to make the next step and of course I wanted to get to a club that is from the top three in the world,' adds Wirtz. 'In my opinion, Liverpool is one of them. 'I just saw myself in the best hands in Liverpool. I was really convinced by the people here, by the idea, and everything what the club offers me was really good. 'Every time I spoke to one of the [people from] the club, I felt like 'this is the place I want to be. And so in the end, I was really 100 percent convinced I want to join Liverpool. And it was the best choice.' Wirtz has also been learning English ahead of his move - having been taught at Leverkusen by another Liverpool new boy, Jeremie Frimpong. "He was my neighbour in the changing room, he sat directly next to me and I had to speak English with him," Wirtz reveals. "After I finished my school, I didn't really speak good English but he was teaching me a lot and making me speak in more English and better English."

Wirtz had major interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City but opted for Merseyside. Liverpool will pay £100m upfront to Bayer Leverkusen with the rest due in add-ons which are linked to both the individual success of the player and the team. The deal for the Germany international will break the club record £85m they agreed to pay Benfica for Darwin Nunez in 2022. And should they hit all the add-ons in the deal it will surpass the £115m British record which Chelsea paid Brighton for Moises Caicedo in 2023. Wirtz added: 'I feel very happy and very proud. Jeremie Frimpong has already been signed from Leverkusen for £29.5m Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is arriving from Valencia for around £30m after spending last season on loan with the La Liga club. Defender Jarell Quansah is closing in on a £35m move to Bayer Leverkusen and that means the Reds could move for Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi. While a striker remains a target, especially if Nunez departs as expected. Newcastle front man Alexander Isak is certainly admired at Liverpool. Although, the Magpies are under now pressure to sell due to PSR rules so it would take a huge change in stance for them to suddenly listen to offers. The Reds will offset some of their summer spending with player sales and they've already brought in £28m from Caoimhin Kelleher joining Brentford and Trent Alexander-Arnold signing for Real Madrid before the end of his contract. With the arrival of Kerkez, Andy Robertson is mulling over a possible move to Atletico Madrid as his place in the team is set to be taken by the new arrival.
