Von Dellingshausen lands maiden DP Tour win in Austria
Nicolai von Dellingshausen earned his maiden DP World Tour title after producing a brilliant burst of scoring around the turn on to win the Austrian Alpine Open by two shots.
The German started Sunday one shot off the lead but found himself three in front after 10 holes thanks to a birdie-eagle-birdie run from the eighth.
He had to overcome some hurdles on the back nine but managed to par his way home to finish the tournament on 19 under par, two clear of long-time leader Marcel Schneider and last week's winner Kristoffer Reitan, who fired a bogey-free 60 to set a testing clubhouse target.
Australia's Daniel Gale, who carded impressive opening rounds of a 68 and 66 to occupy joint sixth place on Saturday morning, ended the tournament tied at 17th, following back-to-back rounds of 69 to finish on eight under for the tournament.
Fellow Australian Danny List ended on six under to share 27th place with six other players.
HotelPlanner Tour graduate Von Dellingshausen said: "I'm trying really hard not to cry. It's been such a tough journey the last two-and-a-half years with losing the card.
"It's all got me to this stage right here and now I'm here!
"I love playing in Austria. I always play well when I play here for some reason - must be the food!
"It was just amazing to have so many people coming out here cheering for us."

Rejuvenated Bublik beats Medvedev for Halle triumph
Bublik had lost his previous six meetings against Russian Medvedev, winning only one set in the process, but produced a superb exhibition of grass-court tennis to end that streak on Sunday. Former world No.1 Medvedev has now lost his last six Tour-level finals. So often the showman, Bublik, fresh from his run to the quarter-finals in the French Open, showed his new maturity with a calm display in the final as he continued the form that saw him beat world No.1 Jannik Sinner in the last-16 this week. The 27-year-old broke the Medvedev serve in the eighth game of the first set and then held his own with ease to move ahead during an incredible 12-point winning streak. Medvedev had a set point when Bublik served at 4-5 in the second set but could do nothing as his wily opponent feathered a delicate drop shot from behind the baseline. Third seed Medvedev then led 4-1 in the tiebreaker but the unseeded Bublik stormed back to complete a memorable week and repeat his 2023 title run on the German grass. "I had such tough months since last Wimbledon to probably this summer," said Bublik, who was outside the top 75 as recently as last month but will rise to 30 on Monday. "I was close to calling it quits after Wimbledon because I was not enjoying it any more. Now this is happening. I don't know. Quarters at the French? Winner here? I have no words. "I have never beaten Daniil. He's a super tough player to play, especially with my style, and today everything clicked in mentally and physically. That's one of the wins of my career." Lions arrive in Australia with concerns over Irish duo
The British & Irish Lions have touched down in Australia with head coach Andy Farrell revealing there remain lingering injury concerns over Jamison Gibson-Park and Hugo Keenan. Farrell's squad arrived into Perth after a 20-hour journey from Dublin via Doha ahead of Saturday's opening fixture on Australian soil against the Western Force. There's doubt over whether Ireland duo Gibson-Park and Keenan will be able to take part at Optus Stadium because of respective glute and calf problems, but Scotland centre Huw Jones has recovered from an Achilles issue and is available. "We'll see how they pull up in midweek," Farrell said of Gibson-Park and Keenan. "Huw Jones is good, he's been training. He trained fully with us last week so he's up and running." Farrell confirmed the team against Western Force will mostly be made up of players from Leinster, Bath and Leicester, who joined up with the Lions after last Saturday's United Rugby Championship and Premiership finals. There were no fresh injuries arising from Friday's 28-24 defeat by Argentina at the Aviva Stadium, with Farrell keen not to dwell on the disappointing tour send-off. "We're here to build for what's going to be a fantastic Test series. We want to play some good rugby along the way," he said. "We'll find out more about each other as we keep on going. Of course, we'll analyse what went on against Argentina and why, but that's all part of the journey - to understand where we need to go next. "It's great to be here, this is what it's all about. We're here for a good time. Hopefully we can start this part of the tour off really well on Saturday." English star Tom Curry warned his teammates they cannot afford to waste a moment in their search for respect as they target an immediate response to the Pumas' loss. "The thing with this sport and this tour is that it comes and goes so quickly. You've got to make the most of it," the England flanker said. "Every meeting and every session. Before you know it we'll be playing in Australia so we can't let moments pass us by. "We speak a lot about respect with our own teammates. We've only got six weeks together. Respect is so hard to earn but so easy to lose. "It's really important that every session and meeting we turn up and push in the right direction. "We have got to pull tighter, it's the only way. I feel like this group has taken so many steps off the field. I haven't got a bad word to say about anyone."
