Ex-NFL player Ramzee Robinson sues Chiefs for wrongful termination, racial discrimination
Associated Press
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A former NFL defensive back is suing the Kansas City Chiefs for wrongful termination from his job as director of player engagement after accusing the franchise of discriminating against him because he is Black.
Ramzee Robinson, who spent nine years with the Chiefs, filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri on Sunday.
In the lawsuit, Robinson claims that he was called into a meeting in February and accused of attacking a female co-worker, and that Chiefs refused to show him security video of the encounter. Robinson ultimately was fired from his position, which involved locker room management, mentorship and other responsibilities within the team.
The lawsuit claims that Robinson was paid a salary of $125,000 by the Chiefs, but that his research found other NFL teams paid comparable positions an average salary of $171,932, not including other benefits. It also claims that "the Chiefs paid African-American business employees less than their white counterparts.'
Chiefs spokesman Brad Gee told The Associated Press on Wednesday that while he could not comment on pending legal matters, 'to be clear, the Chiefs do not tolerate discrimination of any kind."
'We look forward to the facts of this case coming to light,' Gee said.
The 41-year-old Robinson was the final player chosen in the 2007 draft by Detroit. He played in 19 games over two seasons for the Lions, then appeared in three games for Philadelphia and four for Cleveland in 2009. He never played for the Chiefs.

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Begs for Jalen Ramsey to Return
Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Begs for Jalen Ramsey to Return originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The latest drama in the Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey situation came from receiver Tyreek Hill earlier today. At Fanatics Fest, Hill said he's going to get Ramsey back in a Dolphins' jersey. "I'm going to hangout with Ramsey today, so I'm going to get him back. Full-court press, I'm getting him, Ramsey, back in a Dolphins jersey," Hill said. "I don't care what they say - tampering, whatever - we need Ramsey. He's a dog. He's one of the best corners in the league, man. Great leader, great teammate too, though. That's what he doesn't get a lot of credit for. We just need him on the Dolphins man." Advertisement Ramsey and Dolphins mutually agreed to find a trade partner early in the offseason. However, Ramsey remains a Dolphin with less than a month until training camp begins. This week, multiple reports and hints came out of where Ramsey landing spot could be. Ramsey followed multiple Steelers' players on Instagram, potentially indicating him ending up in Pittsburgh. Adam Schefter reported yesterday that Ramsey has interest in playing for a West Coast team, either the Chargers, 49ers or the Rams. The Rams have been heavy in the Ramsey conversation since the beginning, with the cornerback playing four years with the Rams and winning a Super Bowl. Many believed a reunion would be the perfect landing spot for Ramsey. Advertisement However, Sean McVay said it would take a lot of work to figure out a way to bring Ramsey back to the Rams. There seems to be a lot of uncertainty as to where Ramsey will be playing in 2025. According to Schefter, it'll be on the West Coast. But, Hill is going to do his best to keep Ramsey in Miami for now. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 21, 2025, where it first appeared.

NFL top 100 player rankings include 11 NFC West players
The 49ers have five players in CBS Sports' top 100 players. A total of 11 in the NFC West make the cut. This part of the offseason brings lists and rankings of all sorts for the NFL. CBS Sports' Pete Prisco put together his yearly rankings of the 100 best players in the NFL for 2025. The Cardinals will face 39 of the players on the list in 2025. In the NFC West, 11 players are in the top 100. NFL top 100 players in NFC West McBride is the only player for the Cardinals who makes the list. While he is certainly worthy, RB James Conner and S Budda Baker are notable absences. It is interesting that QB Matthew Stafford isn't on the list. RB Kyren Williams has also been very good. Likewise, no DT Kobie Tuner, who has 17 sacks in two NFL season, is a notable snub. Of the Cardinals' opponents in 2025, the 49ers are tied with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the most players on the list. The Seahawks have two defensive cornerstones. They deserve to be here. Curacao draws 1-1 with Canada after Antonisse's stoppage-time goal
Associated Press HOUSTON (AP) — Jeremy Antonisse scored in stoppage time and Curacao tied Canada 1-1 on Saturday night to remain in contention to advance to the knockout stage of the Gold Cup. Nathan Saliba opened the score in the ninth minute, and Antonisse leveled things in the 94th. The 21-year-old Saliba, playing in his fifth international match, scored for the second game in a row. Canada, which started the tournament with a 6-0 win over Honduras, has four points and leads Group B. Curacao is second with two points. l Salvador, with one point, faced Honduras in a late match Saturday. The Canadians will close the group stage facing El Salvador on Tuesday, also in Houston. A win against the Salvadorians would secure first place in the Group B for the Reds and a match in the quarterfinals against the second-best squad from Group A, currently Costa Rica. Canada is trying to capture its second Gol Cup title despite missing his star winger Alphonso Davies, who tore his right ACL during the CONCACAF Nations League third-place game against the U.S. on March 23. Curacao could progress to the next round with a win over Honduras on Tuesday. Canada pulled ahead after Saliba scored with a shot inside the box low across to the far post. The Caribbean team dominated the second half and appear to level things with a Jurgen Locadia goal in the 68th minute but after a VAR review it was invalidated for offside. Antonisse scored the equalizer on a breakaway play. ___ AP soccer:
