Family of e-scooter crash victim say 'his legacy lives on in his baby girl'
The heartbroken family of a young dad who died from injuries he suffered in a serious road traffic incident involving an e-scooter have said 'his legacy lives on in his precious baby girl and all who loved him.'
Jack Goss (21) from Poppintree in Ballymun, Dublin 9 was seriously injured on Father's Day, Sunday, June 15 following the horror collision on the Cappagh Road in Finglas, Dublin 11.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown but sadly passed away on Monday, June 16.
In his death notice on RIP.ie it stated Jack is the 'beloved son of Michael and Helena and brother of Alex and Catherine, partner of Hannah and Daddy to Romee Rose.
His heartbroken family said in Jack's death notice that 'He brought to their lives so much love, kindness and joy.'
'Jack's incredible spirit and big heart will forever be missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, loved ones and his community whom he loved.
'Jack's infectious spirit, fun and love touched so many. His legacy lives on in his precious baby girl and all who loved him.'
Funeral arrangements are to be confirmed later on Wednesday evening. Mourners are being invited to make donations in lieu of flowers to the local Aisling Project in Poppintree and Ballymun who educate and provide life skills to young people.
Meanwhile, tributes continue to be paid to Jack with one mourner writing in the condolence section on RIP.ie: 'My heart broke to hear the awful news about Jack. He was so polite, kind and caring, an absolute credit to his parents, he will be sadly missed by so many,' while another wrote: 'RIP Jack, grateful I knew you like I did,' and another wrote: 'A gentle giant with a heart of gold. We will forever cherish all our memories of you. Rest peacefully Jack.'

'The male, aged in his 20s, travelling on the e-scooter who was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown to be treated for serious injuries has since passed away. Investigating Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
'Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Cappagh Road area between Heathfield and Cappagh Hospital between 4.45pm and 5.05pm on Sunday and may have camera footage are asked to make it available,' the statement said.
'Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01-6667000, the Garda Confidential Lie at 1800 666 111 or any garda station.'

Three men hospitalised following violent clashes in Limerick city
Three men were injured and treated in hospital following violent clashes, linked to feuding between rival criminal families, in Limerick city overnight. Woman who alleged partner broke foot and put hand to her throat gets protection order
A woman who went with her young children to a refuge after her partner allegedly became violent, put his hand to her throat and broke her foot by throwing a heavy object on it has secured a protection order. He is financially abusive, threatening not to pay bills unless she is intimate with him, and had taken her credit card and emptied all their Revolut accounts, she said. He isolated her from her family and friends in the past and is again doing so, insisting she 'put him first', she said. 'I'm scared to stay with him, I can't let him frighten the kids any more.' The judge said that while he initially thought fear of her husband's possible response to her separation plan could not be a basis for a protection order, she had provided enough evidence of his actual behaviour for an order to be granted. A young woman got a protection order against her father whom she alleged is an alcoholic who is verbally and financially abusive. He throws objects at her and her cats and shouts 'vulgar sexual profanities' at her in front of her younger sister including: 'You're getting raped' and 'I will f*** you hard', she alleged. She did not know 'if he meant that in a sexual way', she told the judge. There were many examples of such 'aggressive torture' over the years, she added.
