Adnec Group has delivered the highest economic impact in its history, contributing Dhs8.5 billion to the UAE economy and surpassing the Dhs7.4 billion achieved in 2023.
This milestone highlights the group's growing role in driving economic growth and supporting the UAE's strategic objective of building a diversified, knowledge-based economy.

The year also saw Adnec Group successfully acquire Royal Catering and the Business Design Centre in London, UK, expanding its portfolio of venues to four and strengthening its market presence. These achievements underscore Adnec Group's commitment to fostering talent and delivering exceptional results across its key business segments.Sustainability remained a key focus, with Adnec Group winning the Sheikh Hamdan Environmental Award. The Adnec Centre Abu Dhabi also became the first MICE venue in the Middle East to be powered by clean energy from the Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC), setting a new standard for environmental leadership in the region. The launch of TerraTile, an innovative sustainable flooring product made from exhibition waste, demonstrated the group's dedication to advancing sustainability in the events industry.
Adnec venues including Adnec Centre Abu Dhabi, Adnec Centre Al Ain and ExCeL London hosted more than 1,000 events in 2024, welcoming over 5.4 million visitors, the highest number in its history.
Among the year's highlights were the completion of the ExCeL London expansion, which saw the venue reach 270,000 square metres. Adnec Centre Abu Dhabi hosted the largest and most successful editions of flagship events such as the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS), Global Food Week, and Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex). Capital Events, the event organising arm of Adnec Group, facilitated more than Dhs10 billion in deals at eight of its events, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in event management.
Adnec Hotels welcomed a record-breaking 1,531,000 guests, while Capital Catering, the group's Food & Beverage cluster, delivered 40 million meals across 45 locations and catered for 2,200 weddings and events, including the largest corporate Iftar at Adnec Centre Abu Dhabi for 8,000 guests.
Capital 360 Event Experiences achieved its most successful year, driven by regional expansion and key project wins, including ventures in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Tourism 365, the tourism arm of Adnec Group, managed 350,000 travellers, generating 250,000 room nights, the highest performance since its establishment.
Twofour54, an Adnec Group company, expanded its offerings with the launch of two state-of-the-art TV studios at Yas Creative Hub and supported 34 regional and international major Hollywood productions through its Tawasol initiative.
The group also exited its investment in ZenHR, delivering a 300 per cent return on investment (ROI). Adnec Group's 2024 achievements highlight exceptional performance across its seven core business sectors, including venues, events, hospitality, food and beverage, services, tourism, and media. These accomplishments were driven by the group's efforts to innovate, expand and embrace sustainability across all its business units.
As Adnec Group enters 2025, it remains committed to advancing Abu Dhabi's vision for economic diversification and sustainable development. By pursuing new business opportunities across its core sectors, the group aims to further enhance its global leadership in business tourism, events, and hospitality while driving long-term value for the UAE and its people.
Meanwhile last month Adnec Group and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced their strategic partnership to organise the 12th edition of the Dubai International Air Chiefs' Conference (DIACC) in 2025.
The conference will take place on Nov.16, 2025, a day prior to the Dubai Airshow.

Abu Dhabi: ADNEC Group, a Modon Company, has launched a new smart parking system at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, a project aimed to leverage the experience for the venue's annual 3 million visitors. The system applies internationally recognised technology and integrated digital services to manage parking more efficiently, from entry to exit, providing visitors, exhibitors and event organisers with a more convenient parking journey and increasing the accessibility of the venue. The Smart Parking System has a feature that uses high-definition cameras, capturing vehicle number plates upon entry and issues digital parking tickets within seconds. Message screens inside the parking facility will provide real-time updates on available parking spaces, allowing visitors to locate open spots more quickly and reduce congestion. This system will greatly improve both visitors and exhibitors experience of having a smoother flow eliminating the inconvenience of searching for parking. By minimising delays and streamlining entry and exit, the Smart Parking System supports smoother event operations and contributes to a more efficient flow of traffic throughout the premises. This enhanced functionality reflects ADNEC Group's ongoing commitment to leveraging smart infrastructure to elevate the overall visitor experience. Ahmed Al Obaidli, Chief Operating Officer at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, said: 'The introduction of the smart parking system reflects our efforts to enhance the overall experience for every visitor to ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. By integrating advanced technologies and streamlining access and payment processes, we are not only improving convenience but also supporting the efficient flow of large-scale events. This system is part of our broader strategy to deliver intelligent infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of our exhibitors, delegates and the wider community.' The system includes multiple payment options to suit user preferences. Visitors can use 17 tap & go terminals located throughout the venue or opt for mobile payment at their convenience by scanning a QR code printed on their ticket. Supported payment methods include Mastercard, Visa, American Express, UnionPay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, while cash payments can also be made through self-service kiosks at major exit points. For exhibitors and visitors, digital tickets can be pre-booked and accessed via mobile devices, including Apple Wallet for iOS. Vehicles registered in advance benefit from an automated process, where number plate recognition allows entry and exit without the need to open windows or interact with barriers. The entire system is powered by ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi internal fibre optic network, integrating hundreds of components across the site. The upgrade is part of ADNEC Groups wider efforts to modernise venue operations and improve the efficiency of services provided to event organisers, exhibitors and visitors. ADNEC Group is committed to providing a smooth and efficient visitor experience across all its venues by continuously investing in smart infrastructure and operational excellence. It also includes the implementation of key programmes such as digital transformation, expanding investments in artificial intelligence, enhancing international partnerships, developing national talents, and regulatory reforms aimed at encouraging private sector participation and attracting international investors. The plan aims to attract up to AED400 billion in foreign direct investment by 2050 and increase local content in key supply chains to 65 per cent, along with achieving 100 per cent Emiratisation of critical jobs in the sector. It's also strengthens economic growth opportunities by attracting capital and global technologies. This announcement comes in light of the rapid economic growth witnessed by the emirate, with its GDP surpassing the one trillion dirham mark, reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-growing economies globally. The energy and water sector has played a vital role in supporting this exceptional growth. Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, said the "strategic framework represents a comprehensive roadmap for the future of the energy and water sector in the upon an ambitious vision aimed at transforming the sector into a global model of efficiency, innovation, and sustainability, in line with (the) leadership's aspirations to build a diversified, net-zero economy by 2050.' He added, 'We continue working to cement Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub for innovation in energy, powered by artificial intelligence and advanced digital solutions.' The Department of Energy reaffirmed its commitment to leading the development of policies, strategies, and regulatory systems for the sector, emphasised strengthening cooperation with local and international entities and empowering society to contribute to the journey toward a more prosperous and sustainable future.
