
Industry Minister participates in Make it the Emirates Forum 2025
Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, participated as a keynote speaker in the fourth edition of the 'Make in the Emirates 2025' forum , organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates, from 19 to 22 May, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
During his participation in the dialogue session held under the title 'Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development', the Minister elaborated on a set of paths Bahrain took to support smart manufacturing and enhance local content. Fakhro, met Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry, where they discussed a number of issues of common interest.

Ideas drive Ministry change
TDT | Manama The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is turning employee ideas into operational improvements, as winners of its 2024 innovation initiative were honored this week for reshaping services, policies, and workplace culture. Ideas into action His Excellency Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, led the ceremony recognizing standout proposals under the 'Factory of Ideas 2024' initiative. The event was also attended by HE Eman Ahmed Al-Doseri, Undersecretary of the Ministry and Chairperson of the Judging Committee, along with other senior officials. The initiative aims to promote innovation within the Ministry by encouraging employees to submit ideas that enhance service delivery, streamline policies, and improve customer experience. The Minister congratulated the winners and urged wider participation in future editions. Three focus areas Awards were presented across three categories: workplace environment, policy and procedure, and customer experience. In the workplace development category, first place went to Nada Nasser Al-Thawadi, followed by Khawla Yousif Abdulrahman and Maitham Fadhel Al-Hammad. For policy and procedure development, Ali Ibrahim Al-Nasser secured the top position. Second place went to Ali Jafar Jassim, while a joint proposal by Hamad Adel Bofarsan and Shaikha Khalid Al-Buainain was placed third.
