Jaguars' Jarrian Jones reacts to the Madden 26 cover The Jaguars' Jarrian Jones recently discussed the Madden 26 cover.
Jacksonville Jaguars' cornerback Jarrian Jones is on the cover of Madden 26. Well, sort of.
Featured on the cover of the game is Philadelphia Eagles' running back Saquon Barkley, leaping backwards over Jones, who was attempting to make a tackle during the two teams' Week 9 matchup last season.
Jones, however, doesn't mind that this is how he made his way onto the cover of Madden. As he said recently, it was a great play by Barkley.
"(Expletive) was kind of hard, for real," Jones said when asked about the Madden cover. "I've seen it. I don't have Twitter, so I seen it on Instagram. I was like, damn, they didn't put my number on there. The play was fire to me. Everybody DM'd me like I was going to be mad or something. I don't give a damn. He made a good play, it is what it is."
While it is known that the player under the hurdling Barkley is Jones, on the actual Madden cover is a player with a black helmet, but no Jaguars logo, and a white uniform, but no No. 22 for Jones.
When asked if he wanted his name on the jersey on the Madden cover, Jones said with a smile: "They got to pay me for it. That's why I say that. They have to pay more for it. But I don't care, really. I don't really play Madden anyways."
Heading into his second NFL season, Jones will be spending more time lined up outside, but defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile is looking to maximize Jones' versatility and is "really fired up" about what he's seeing from him during offseason programs.

Ex Commanders Receiver Can Help Save Former Top Pick

Ex Commanders Receiver Can Help Save Former Top Pick originally appeared on Athlon Sports. On paper, Dyami Brown's fourth season with the Washington Commanders wasn't anything to get overly excited about. The former third-round pick caught 30 passes for just over 300 yards in 16 appearances last season. Advertisement Despite the low numbers, Brown earned a one-year, $10 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. Washington was able to upgrade easily when Brown walked. Early in the offseason, they traded for All-Pro receiver Deebo Samuel to bolster their receiving core. However, Jacksonville isn't too concerned about what Brown brings to the table. They want to surround former top overall pick Trevor Lawrence with any semblance of competent receivers. And multiple analysts are commending them for it. On the Move the Sticks podcast with Daniel Jeremiah, Bucky Brooks clarified how important Brown can be for Jacksonville. Advertisement "Brown, who joined via a one-year, $10 million pact this offseason, is the kind of deep-ball weapon this team desperately needed on the outside," Brooks continues. "It's true that his regular-season production has not matched his potential to this point; the 2021 third-rounder dwarfed previous career highs with just 30 catches and 308 receiving yards in Washington last season." Brooks spoke glowingly about Brown's big-play ability over the last few years. With a new offensive-minded head coach in Liam Coen, the Jaguars should be able to use Brown's skill set well. For Washington, there's a good chance they won't miss Brown. The passing game is as good as ever, and the receiving room has suddenly become rich with talent. It could be a win-win for both sides in 2025. Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson apologizes for red card in Club World Cup loss to Flamengo

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Nicolas Jackson apologized to Chelsea fans after he was sent off with a red card during the team's 3-1 loss to Flamengo in the Club World Cup on Friday. Trailing the Brazilians 2-1, the striker was sent off in the 68th minute with a straight red just four minutes after replacing Liam Delap for a studs-up tackle on Flamengo defender Ayrton Lucas. 'I want to say sorry. To the club, the staff, my teammates, and all the fans watching, I let you down. Another red card ... and honestly, I'm so angry at myself,' he wrote on Instagram. 'I work hard every day to help the team not to put us in this situation.' The red means that the Senegalese international won't be available to play on Tuesday when Chelsea faces Esperance with a spot in the round of 16 on the line. Jackson was also shown a red card last month in Chelsea's 2-0 loss to Newcastle. 'It happened against Newcastle and it happened today. Probably today I am not 100 percent sure it's a red card compared to the Newcastle one,' Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca said. 'So it's a little bit of a bad moment for Nico in this kind of things.' FIFA could give Jackson a longer suspension if it chooses to review the tackle. 'I'll reflect, I'll grow and I'll come back stronger for the badge and for everyone who believes in me,' Jackson concluded his post. 'Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.' ___ AP soccer:
