Farah Khan, in her recent YouTube vlog, visited Jaaved Jaaferi's house where she met up with Naved Jafri and Ravi Behl - the iconic trio of Boogie Woogie.
'Why is Farah Khan not making movies?"
'Because she's busy cooking up bangers on YouTube."
If you are aware of Indian director and choreographer Farah Khan's YouTube game, it's not hard to understand why she's currently in her influencer era. Her vlogs with her man Friday, Dilip, are centered around food, fun banter, and catching up with Bollywood's noted personalities. Her recent vlog with Jaaved Jaaferi, Naved Jafri, and Ravi Behl, however, summoned the millennials like no episode of hers did before.
'Aaj hum jaa rahe hain Jaaved Jaaferi ke laavish ghar! Ghar ke tour ke saath milenge Naved Jafri aur Ravi Behl – yaani Boogie Woogie ke legends! Saath mein hogi dher saari masti, baatein aur cooking – banayenge delicious Mutton Chaap aur Chicken Biscuit (Today we are going to Jaaved Jaaferi's lavish house. Along with the house tour, we will meet Naved Jafri and Ravi Behl – the Boogie Woogie legends! Together, we will have a lot of fun, engage in conversations and some cooking – we will cook Mutton Chaap and Chicken Biscuit)," Farah's video description read.
Boogie Woogie
The longest-running reality show on Indian television, Boogie Woogie, was conceived by Naved, who called up Ravi and said: 'let's do something!"
'Ek din ghar pe baetha hua tha. Naved ne phone kiya. Naved roz aa jaata tha ghar pe ya main iske ghar pe called. Bola yaar kuch karte hain. Isne bola dance show banate hain. That was the most obvious thing to do. Paper pe do page ka concept likha. Gaana purana mera favourite tha. Boogie Woogie rakhte hain (One day I was at home, Naved called. Naved would come over every day or I would be at his place. He said let's do something, let's make a dance show. That was the most obvious thing to do. The concept was written on two pages. 'Boogie Woogie' was my favourite song. We titled the show 'Boogie Woogie')," Ravi, who co-founded the show with Naved, recalled.
Pilot Failed, Almost
After receiving a handsome cheque of Rs 14 lakh and a green signal from Sudesh Iyer, the pilot episode was shot but the Sony staff was far from convinced. When Iyer arrived at the scene and watched the first seven minutes or so of Boogie Woogie's pilot, he recognised that they were up to something special. 'Boss superhit hai. Go on-air," Iyer told the makers. And the rest was history.
No Sob Fest
The trio of Jaaved, Naved, and Ravi wanted the show to be organic and not a sob fest, as reality shows today use this tactic to gain viewership. The three judges instead focused on the dancing skills of their contestants rather than selling their sad stories to the public. Ravi added that they would eat food cooked by contestants' parents while filming and judging the show.
Nostalgia Max
Those who tuned into the episode which has been viewed over 1.4 million times since its upload on June 16, were instantly taken back in time. Recalling the 18 glorious years of Boogie Woogie, the fans of the dance show assembled in huge numbers in the comments section of Farah Khan's YouTube channel.
'Brought back Childhood memories of watching Boogie Woogie! 90s kids had a privilege to watch it!" wrote one commenter.
'Best dance show till date Boogie Woogie … Childhood nostalgia.. I'm 41 now and they're 60, (sic)" added another.
'Boogie woogie jaisa dance 🩰 show aaj tak nahi aaya, jisme real talent hi winner 🏆 hota tha, pahle se fixed nahi… hum ye teeno ko Miss karte hai, Javed sir india ke first break dancer hai.. RESPECT, (sic)" commented a third user.

Samay Raina's India's Got Latent Makes Comeback On YouTube After Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy

Samay Raina's India's Got Latent returns to YouTube months after controversy involving Ranveer Allahbadia. Fans hail it as the 'best comeback ever.' Four months after being embroiled in a major controversy, India's Got Latent — the YouTube talent show hosted by comedian Samay Raina — has quietly made a return, albeit on a different channel. The show was pulled down earlier this year after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia faced widespread backlash for making an inappropriate comment to a contestant involving their parents. The controversial remark led to public outrage and legal repercussions, with multiple FIRs filed against Ranveer, Samay, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ashish Chanchlani. Following the incident, Samay Raina took down all episodes from his official channel and issued a public statement expressing his distress. 'Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India's Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time," he wrote. He also confirmed his full cooperation with authorities investigating the matter. Now, months later, the show's segments have reappeared online — not on the original channel but on a newly active page titled India's Got Latent Clips. The revived clips include content from public and members-only episodes, with over 500 videos currently available for viewing. Fans of the show have welcomed its digital return with open arms. Comments like '2025 is the year of comeback," 'Best comeback everrr," and 'Finallyyyyyyyy… comeback ho hi gaya Latent ka" have flooded the clips, suggesting that the core audience has remained loyal despite the controversy. Meanwhile, Samay Raina is currently touring internationally, performing across Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. His tour, which began on June 5, will conclude in Sydney on July 20. Whether this quiet return marks a full revival for the show or merely serves as a nostalgic archive remains to be seen — but for now, India's Got Latent seems to be back in the algorithm.
