Iran launches 35 missiles on Israel, causing widespread damage and injuries
In response to the US assault, Iran launched an intense assault of over 35 missiles targeting Israel early on Sunday morning.
This resulted in the destruction of numerous buildings and extensive property damage. Rescue teams rushed to the affected sites to evacuate the injured, including settlers trapped under rubble.
As the attack commenced, eyewitnesses from Tel Aviv reported a terrifying scene of widespread destruction.
'Everything is dismantled, the area is experiencing vast devastation,' one said.
Extensive damage and casualties in latest attack
Missiles struck areas in the settlement of Ness Ziona and Tel Aviv, while Israeli air defenses intercepted projectiles over Haifa. According to Yedioth Ahronoth, 23 injured individuals were transported to hospitals, with one in moderate condition and the rest suffering minor injuries.
Videos and photos captured across Israel's interior documented the scale of the damage, showing demolished buildings and cars marred by shrapnel and soot.
Israel strikes Hezbollah in south Lebanon
Hours after the Iranian attack, the Israeli Air Force launched raids on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
Additionally, the Israeli army successfully intercepted two drones in Wadi Araba, which had been launched from Iran towards Israeli settlements.
Following these incidents, Israel's forces raised its alert level on the northern border, anticipating any further escalation from Hezbollah in coordination with Iran.
US backs ally with strikes
American sources have confirmed that the US military conducted precision strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, resulting in significant damage to parts of the infrastructure.
US President Donald Trump announced the attack via his 'Truth Social' account, stating: 'We carried out a highly successful attack on Iranian nuclear sites; all aircraft have returned safely to their bases.'
American media outlets confirmed that strikes directed at Iran utilized bunker-buster bombs to target the Fordow site, leading to the complete destruction of the facility.
Iran has denied this, however, and stated that any damage did not extend beyond the ground surface.
