Carl Pei reacts to the Trump T1 phone: "We're cooked"
The greatest enemy will hide in the last place you would ever look, and for the upcoming Nothing Phone (3) – that means the White House.
No, it's not Trump's administration that holds some kind of grudge against Carl Pei's next flagship. Nothing Phone (3) is expected at the beginning of July, if you're wondering. It's just that President Trump is about to launch his own smartphone, the T1 Phone that we told you about mere hours ago.The Trump T1 Phone is expected to arrive with 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage, and – most importantly – support for microSD cards to expand storage further. That's a nice one, and I'm not being sarcastic about it. The T1 Phone will allegedly include a 5,000mAh battery and a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.Sounds OK, but so far there isn't any information about its chipset – the "brain" that drives it all. The price is reportedly set at $499 and the phone will come equipped with a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Nothing Phone (3) , on the other hand, could come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset… or the flagship-grade Snapdragon 8 Elite (the one used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra). It is expected to include a larger battery, potentially exceeding 5,000mAh, although the exact capacity has not yet been confirmed. This would mark an improvement over the 4,700mAh battery found in the Nothing Phone (2), which supported both 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.Rumors suggest the new model will offer 12 GB of RAM as a baseline, with one version pairing that with 256 GB of internal storage.

Honor reveals Magic V5 foldable phone's thickness, and it barely beats the Galaxy Z Fold 7
Honor is skipping the Magic V4, and is instead jumping straight to the Magic V5 foldable. The company has now exclusively revealed the phone's thickness to Apple insider Mark Gurman for his newsletter Power is looking to usurp the Oppo Find N5 — which measures at 8.9 mm when folded — as the world's slimmest foldable. The company has revealed that the Magic V5 will be 8.8 mm when folded, making it the slimmest closed foldable to date. Despite this, the Honor Magic V5 will also apparently come with a 6,100 mAh battery. That, to me, makes it the obvious choice for those who value both slimness and battery life. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to ship with the same 4,400 mAh battery as the Galaxy Z Fold 6. While it can be argued that the battery capacity on the Fold 7 is laughable, I do think that Samsung has finally caught up in the foldable market. The Fold 7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is the same powerful processor that is found across the entire Samsung Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has also made the crease less noticeable, and will likely provide seven years of software support. For those users who swear by One UI and care about long-term support, the Fold 7 is a no-brainer. Apple offers college students a presentation designed to get their parents to spring for a MacBook
Depending on where in the U.S. you live, the 2024-2025 school year might have just come to an end. Even though another school year has just concluded and is in the books, Apple has already announced its Back to School promotion which began on June 17th. Students, parents, and faculty purchasing a new qualifying Apple device will receive a gift card with their purchase. Apple also released a video that shows college students, "How to convince your parents to get you a Mac." The video, originally posted on Apple's YouTube channel, runs for about seven minutes and shows a group of students who are being shown how to properly ask their parents to buy them a Mac for college instead of a PC. The guy in the video who is teaching the students how to approach their parents suggests trying to sell them on the idea that their sons and daughters will have a healthier spine if they own a MacBook as opposed to a Windows-powered laptop. "One of the main factors affecting spine health in teens is, you guessed it, school bag weight. And the MacBook Air only weighs 2.7 pounds. Hey, maybe your parents don't care about your spine. I doubt that, right?" This talk about spinal health hits a little too close to home for yours truly who has scoliosis, severe spinal stenosis, and cauda equina compression. But I digress. The instructor closes his pitch by saying, "So to wrap things up, you can either buy a MacBook Air for $899, or you can buy a PC, but you also have to buy antivirus software, a manual backup software, a protective case, a guard dog to protect it from your roommate, an external power bank…I mean, it's insane." Not because it isn't funny but because for some reason, Apple pulled the video from its YouTube channel. But Apple did leave up a presentation that students can show their parents.
