Sze Fei-Izzuddin off to shaky start in Indonesia Open
KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 1 Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani survived a stern opening test to set up an all-Malaysian second-round clash with Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub-Tan Wee Kiong at the Indonesia Open.
Sze Fei-Izzuddin were made to work hard before overcoming Taiwan's Lee Fang Chih-Lee Fang Jen 17-21, 21-17, 21-14 in a 58-minute battle at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The win marked their fourth straight victory and extended their head-to-head dominance over the world No. 21 Taiwanese brothers to 7-1.
The come-from-behind victory came as a relief for Sze Fei-Izzuddin, who are under pressure to maintain their world No. 1 status for a third consecutive week.
Next up, they face familiar opponents in Azriyn-Wee Kiong — fellow independent shuttlers and training partners — for a place in the quarter-finals.
Azriyn-Wee Kiong had earlier cruised past China's Xie Hao Nan-Zeng Wei Han 21-17, 21-12 in a confident display.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Bernama) -- Berita Harian (BH) entertainment desk assistant editor Raja Nurfatimah Mawar Mohamed, who died at her home in Sungai Long, Kajang, at about 2 pm today, had earlier complained of fatigue to her close friend, Tengku Datuk Khalidah Tengku Bidin. 'We received news of her passing at about 3 pm today. She was said to have complained of body aches and breathing difficulties to her helper earlier in the day. 'The helper who comes every day to clean the house happened to be with her at the time. As far as I know, she was in good health,' she said when contacted by Bernama here today. Tengku Khalidah said she last met her late friend two days ago at the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) Supreme Council Dinner in Wangsa Maju here. Describing her personality, Tengku Khalidah said Raja Nurfatimah Mawar was always cheerful, kind-hearted and well liked by many. 'She was not only well liked by fellow journalists but also dearly loved by celebrities. Although she was Assistant Editor of the Entertainment Desk at Berita Harian, she often went to the ground due to her close ties with local artistes,' she said. Tengku Khalidah added that both of them had planned to perform the haj together next year and she was devastated that it would no longer be possible.

Passing of BH entertainment editor great loss to journalism
KUALA LUMPUR: The passing of Berita Harian entertainment assistant editor Raja Nurfatimah Mawar Mohamed, today is a significant loss to Malaysian journalism, particularly in the field of entertainment reporting. Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, in a Facebook post, expressed his sadness over the news and extended his condolences to Raja Nurfatimah's family and the BH team. "Innalillahi wainna ilaihi raji'un. May Allah SWT bless her soul, forgive her sins, and place her among the righteous. "She was a highly respected media practitioner, well regarded by colleagues and peers in the industry," he said.
