The Metro K Line is experiencing delays on Monday morning after a person was found dead on the tracks in South Los Angeles, officials confirmed.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the body was found at about 7:02 a.m. on the tracks at the Leimert Park Station platform.
As of 8 a.m., it wasn't yet clear if the person was hit by a train or if they died from other circumstances.
The identity of the deceased wasn't immediately made clear.

Gunman opens fire on Brooklyn street, kills man, 38
A 38-year-old man was killed when a gunman opened fire on a Brooklyn street, striking him multiple times, police said Friday. Police investigate deadly hit-and-run in Westlake District near southbound 110 Freeway
The Third Street off-ramp of the southbound 110 Freeway in the Westlake District is closed while police investigate a deadly hit-and-run. The California Highway Patrol has issued a Sig Alert for the next couple of hours due to police activity. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department received calls around 4:30 a.m. about a man who was on the ground near the intersection of Beaudry Avenue between Second and Third Street.
