100 concerts for Chicago summer 2025 — starting with music this weekend
The live music picture has more or less taken shape for summer 2025. What's coming?
This summer may not have the biggest of the big blockbuster concerts compared to last summer — farewell, Eras Tour — but that still leaves Beyoncé, AC/DC, The Weeknd, the recently announced Lady Gaga and lots more. It begins with the most concert-packed May in memory: Along with the first three of the aforementioned, Paul Simon is playing what's likely his farewell Chicago show at Symphony Center, Post Malone is at Wrigley and Sueños returns to Grant Park.
Later in August, Oasis, My Chemical Romance, The Lumineers and System of A Down play back-to-back-to-back nights at Soldier Field — me, I'm gonna try not to even leave my parking space. Look for Riot Fest announcing its bands soon. We're all still feeling the loss of Pitchfork.
The following also covers much of spring; it begins with concerts as soon as Sunday. Many tickets are already on sale.

A fan of the preppy aesthetic, she paired her shirt with a white pleated mini skirt that had plenty of collegiate charm (and could also double as part of her next pickleball outfit). On her feet, she wore white pointed-toe pumps and accessorized with the Mini Cloud Clutch from Mansur Gavriel (which presumably held said red lipstick). Together, the ensemble could have very well been plucked straight from her 1989 era. As for Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs player wore an equally as light and breezy outfit of a white t-shirt with the words 'US Soccer' printed at the front and white shorts. The couple has been keeping a low profile since the Eras Tour came to a close late last year and Kelce's 2024 NFL season wrapped up with the Super Bowl in February. THE RUNDOWN On Friday, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen in New York City after several months of rare appearances. The couple was filmed leaving a restaurant in footage shared by a fan account on X, formerly Twitter. In the video, an employee held the door open, shaking Kelce's hand as he passed by, then nodding goodbye to the Eras Tour star as she followed her boyfriend out. As they approached a car, Kelce took Swift's hand and escorted her ahead of him into the vehicle. For the hot summer night out, Swift wore a pale blue bodysuit with a short pleated skirt. She accessorized with a white handbag and white pointed-toe shoes and left her hair down in flowing waves. Kelce was wearing white shorts and a white shirt with sneakers. Swift and Kelce have been seen frequently in Florida the last few months, and attended the Stanley Cup Finals in Sunrise, Florida, on June 12. They also popped up in Tennessee on June 6, attending a backyard wedding together, and before that at Harry's West Palm Beach in Florida. Kelce reportedly rented a luxury house nearby to spend some time with Swift and his family. The couple has been recovering from a very busy winter. Swift's Eras Tour ended in December 2024. Kelce's team, the Kansas City Chiefs, played in the Super Bowl in February, he will soon return to NFL training camp ahead of the next season. On June 4, a source explained why they have been so low-key, telling Us Weekly, 'They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention, but there isn't trouble in paradise.'
