The Reject Shop is now selling a hugely popular item for the price of a large coffee: 'Parents, run!'
Shoppers are rushing to The Reject Shop after spotting a major bargain: authentic Squishmallows for just $6.
The cult-favourite plush toys, which typically retail for $15 or more at department stores, have quietly landed in select Reject Shop locations across the country, prompting a frenzy from fans eager to grab the cuddly creatures on a budget.
'Why pay $15 for Squishmallows when you can get them for $6 at The Reject Shop?' one savvy content creator posted online, alongside footage of a shelf full of the ultra-soft toys.
Squishmallows, known for their marshmallow-like texture and ultra-huggable filling, have developed a massive following among children, teens and even adults.
With hundreds of designs - from frogs and butterflies to food-themed creatures – each Squishmallow comes with a name and backstory, making them collectible as well as comforting.
The toys first surged in popularity on TikTok during lockdowns, with fans filming 'Squish hunts' in-store and showing off growing collections.
Their appeal has often been compared to Jellycat plush toys, another popular brand known for its soft textures and high price point - though Jellycats tend to target a more luxury, boutique audience.
Now, fans are flocking to The Reject Shop to score the budget-friendly toys.
'I got three of them for my girls from Beenleigh Reject Shop,' one mum wrote.
'Honestly a bargain! I might need that frog,' another shopper said.
'I bought six today,' one fan simply admitted.
Others joked about their timing: 'Of course I see this after my Reject Shop closes down.'
The surprise drop appears to include a variety of characters, with many confirming purchases of butterflies, frogs, and cats.
While The Reject Shop hasn't officially confirmed the full range or whether the plushies are a permanent addition, demand is already surging online - and stock is moving fast.
So if you've got a Squishmallow-lover at home (or just need one for yourself), it might be time for a quick dash to your local store.
The The Reject Shop isn't the only Aussie outlet buying into the trend.
Squishmallows were also recently announced as the latest toy addition in McDonald's Australia Happy Meals.
The fast-food giant confirmed in an announcement in May that their signature kid's meal is 'about to get even happier with the launch of Squishmallows Happy Meals'.
In huge news for fans of the toy collectibles, one of the 14 mini plushie characters in the Macca's Happy Meals range will be a world-first exclusive.
The new Squishmallows Squad character set to debut is Halley, the Intergalactic Axolotl.
Among the new collection are also two characters that will only be available in Australia and New Zealand: Avery, the green and brown mallard duck and Theotto, the Cthulhu monster with dragon wings.
Collectors will be hoping to get their hands on all 14 Macca's Happy Meals Squishmallows characters, with some of the classic characters included in the collection set to feature exclusive new expressions.
Among the collection are perennial favourite characters Rossi, the purple cheetah with pink spots and Charles, the winking green pickle with a moustache.
McDonald's Australia Marketing Director of Menu and Brand Amanda Nakad said they were excited to have secured a collaboration with the 'squishable plushies [that] are all the rage right now'.
'This limited-time Happy Meal brings a taste of the viral toy sensation to Macca's, with the first McDonald's Squishmallows Squad,' Amanda said.
'Whether you're joining the hunt to collect them all or just looking for a dose of happiness, there's a Squishmallow for every kind of fan with this new Happy Meal.'
Squishmallows Happy Meals will be available with a choice of 3 or 6-piece chicken mcnuggets, a hamburger, cheeseburger or grilled chicken snack wrap. They're also served with a side of small fries or apple slices and a small drink.
Each of the Macca's Happy Meals Squishmallows will also come with a scannable code to unlock an exclusive digital game featuring the lovable characters.
Like Beanie Babies did decades earlier, Squishmallows attract an enthusiastic community of collectors, particularly since certain exclusive characters are available in limited numbers or sizes.
One of the rarest Squishmallows is Jack the Black Cat, which only has 500 in circulation.
Rare and in-demand Squishmallows attract higher prices and are often re-sold online.
There are numerous social media videos of Squishmallows collectors showcasing their toy haul.
Celebrities like Charli D'Amelio and Lady Gaga are also reportedly amongst those that collect limited edition Squishmallows.

Standing beside her, Olivia, 31, showed off her curves in a blush pink off-the-shoulder mini with ruched detailing and dramatic side ties. The OnlyFans star and podcast host wore her blonde bob tousled and fresh, letting her radiant complexion take centre stage. The former brides smiled for photographers as they reunited for the Studio 54 bash, hosted by Belvedere Vodka and Pelicano, where sequin frocks, disco balls and retro beats set the scene. Also spotted at the Z-list party were fellow MAFS grooms Tony Mojanovski and Ryan Donnelly, as well as FBOY Island's Joey Robson and Love Island Australia hunk Aidan Knox. Nineties 'It Girl' Tali Jatali turned heads in a daring leopard-print bodysuit featuring a plunging neckline with low cut detailing that left little to the imagination. She teamed the look with a baby-blue micro miniskirt and slouchy white knee-high boots, channelling vintage glam with a cheeky twist. Oversized hoop earrings, sleek sunglasses and her signature long brunette locks completed the Studio 54-inspired ensemble. Elsewhere, MAFS brides Lauren Dunn and Veronica Cloherty were seen mingling in the VIP section. Rounding out the guest list was Dean Wells, who attended with his glamorous fiancée Aimee Woolley, both dressed to impress in throwback-inspired looks that fit the Studio 54 theme to a tee. Dean opted for a layered look featuring a blush pink cardigan worn over a black tee, paired with white jeans and matching loafers for a laid-back yet cheeky disco vibe. Aimee turned up the sparkle in a teal velvet halter jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and gold chain belt. She finished her look with matching heels and soft waves for a true disco diva moment.

BREAKING NEWS Matt Zukowski confirms shock split from Tammy Hembrow after less than a year of marriage
Matt Zukowski has confirmed his split from fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow after months of swirling rumours and cryptic social media posts. The Love Island Australia star, 29, announced the couple's separation in a sombre Instagram Story on Sunday, telling fans the decision was not taken lightly. 'It's with a heavy heart I share that Tammy and I have decided to separate,' Matt began. 'Both of us have struggled with making this decision however; we need to do what is right for ourselves and her 3 children.' 'This wasn't a decision we took lightly. Our time together will always be cherished and never forgotten,' he added, before thanking fans for their support and asking for privacy. The Love Island Australia star, 29, announced the couple's separation in a sombre Instagram Story on Sunday, telling fans the decision was not taken lightly Despite their short-lived marriage, both parties have asked for privacy as they adjust to life post-breakup. 'We appreciate everyone's support and space at this time as we navigate the split,' Matt concluded in his emotional post. The news comes less than 24 hours after he was spotted spending time with sports journalist Tayla Little at the London Tavern in Richmond, Melbourne on Saturday night. The news comes after weeks of speculation surrounding the state of the couple's whirlwind romance, with many fans convinced the pair had quietly split. Tammy, 32, first sparked concern in March after she was spotted crying in a bathroom, while Matt was later overheard allegedly ' talking crap' about his wife at a South Melbourne gym. In the weeks that followed, Matt quietly moved out of the couple's Queensland home and relocated back to Melbourne, where he resumed working for his father's pool business. While Matt continued to co-host his podcast Where's Your Head At? with ex-girlfriend and fellow Love Island alum Anna McEvoy, Tammy was noticeably absent from his social media. Meanwhile, the Gold Coast-based influencer has remained in Queensland with her three children - son Wolf, nine, daughter Saskia, seven, and toddler Posy, three - from previous relationships. Matt was notably missing from several major family events over the past two months, including Tammy's 31st birthday, Posy's fairy-themed third birthday party, and even Easter weekend. Despite exchanging vows in a glamorous Byron Bay ceremony just under a year ago and getting matching tattoos to mark their love, fans quickly noticed Matt had been erased from most of Tammy's social media - save for a few lingering images from their Vogue Australia wedding spread. She even hinted at emotional distress in a tearful video posted to Instagram earlier this month. 'I definitely don't like to pretend I am okay when I am not,' she said at the time, appearing without her wedding or engagement rings. 'I just feel like pretending is doing me more harm than good.' The video was followed by a series of cryptic TikToks and Instagram posts, including one captioned, 'when something feels off it is usually women's intuition.' Last week, Tammy teased a possible new career pivot amid the drama - telling fans she was considering launching a podcast as a form of therapy. 'I'm thinking of starting a podcast guys, because I feel like I have a lot to say. So would you listen if I did? Just food for thought,' she wrote on Instagram. Her post further fuelled speculation that a tell-all could be coming, especially given the mounting curiosity around her now-confirmed split from Matt.

Sydney's Eastern Suburbs rocked by cheating scandal as mystery Range Rover is spray-painted with brutal message
Sydney 's Eastern Suburbs was rocked by a cheating scandal over the weekend after a black luxury Range Rover was vandalised. The eye-popping SUV was first spotted parked at Bondi Beach on Saturday morning, with stunned onlookers quickly whipping out their phones to capture the explosive scene after the word 'cheater' was sprayed boldly across its side in silver paint. Love Island Australia star Aidan Knox was among the first to share the moment to his Instagram Story. Aidan posted a snap of the defaced vehicle with a string of laughing emojis and tagged the location as Bondi. The photo quickly sparked gossip across social media, with many locals claiming to have seen the car parked at various hotspots throughout the day. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Later that afternoon, the vehicle was seen outside Double Bay's Royal Oak Hotel where the drama only escalated. Gym goers and brunchers noticed the windscreen was plastered with an additional message: 'Don't deny it, I have the receipts!' – alongside a QR code. Naturally, curious passersby couldn't resist scanning the code to discover the identity of the alleged love rat, though the person behind the digital reveal remains unknown. Locals say the car was parked in the area for hours for amused onlookers. 'No one could believe it,' one witness told Daily Mail Australia. 'People were scanning the QR code like crazy and filming it for TikTok.' It's unclear who owns the vandalised Range Rover or what sparked the public naming-and-shaming, but online sleuths are already speculating it's linked to Sydney's influencer scene - or maybe it's another PR stunt. Back in 2022, a mystery man called Max likely had some explaining to do as he was confronted with a rather crude message spray-painted onto his house. The Bondi lothario was clearly having a bad day as his possibly now ex-partner decided to vent their fury over his alleged infidelity by spray-painting a rather rude message in black paint in large letters on the wall next to his door. A tickled passerby uploaded a picture of the graffiti to Facebook, where it garnered quite a bit of attention. The message read: 'Max you cheating p****, got what you're given.' One woman wrote: 'Oooft that's gonna cost him', - presumably in more ways than one.' Another helpfully pointed out that his building manager is soon to join the ranks of furious people in Max's life, commenting 'round of drinks on Max for the building manager'.
