
Major IAS reshuffle in Telangana sees Mittal out of Revenue
HYDERABAD: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the state government on Thursday transferred 33 IAS officers and two IFS officers. Orders to this effect were issued by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao.
As per the orders, Navin Mittal, principal secretary, Revenue department, has been posted as principal secretary, Energy department. DS Lokesh Kumar has been given full additional charge (FAC) as secretary, Revenue department, and as chief commissioner of land administration (CCLA).
N Sridhar, principal secretary, SC Development department, has been posted as principal secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department. He will also hold the post of principal secretary, Mines & Geology department.
Shashank Goel, special chief secretary, Telangana Bhavan in Delhi, has been posted as resident commissioner, Telangana Bhavan, relieving Gaurav Uppal who has been posted as secretary to Government, Coordination (Government of India Projects), Telangana Bhavan, Delhi.
Harichandana appointed Hyderabad Collector
Harichandana Dasari, Special Secretary, Roads & Buildings (R & B) department, has been posted as Collector, Hyderabad, replacing Anudeep Durishetty, who has been appointed Collector, Khammam.
Jyoti Buddha Prakash, Secretary, Registration & Stamps and Housing Department, has been posted as Secretary, SC Development department. He is also given FAC as Secretary, Planning department, and Director General, Telangana Remote Sensing Applications Centre (TGRAC). Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu, Collector, Nizamabad, has been posted as Special Secretary, Registration & Stamps, Revenue department. He is also given FAC as Commissioner & Inspector General (IG), Registration & Stamps; Commissioner, Survey Settlements & Land Records (SS & LA); and Project Director, Bhu Bharathi.

Families of fishermen stranded in Iran seek Tamil Nadu Government's intervention to ensure their safe return
Families of 36 fishermen from Uvari, now stranded in Iran, have appealed to the Tamil Nadu Government to take immediate steps to safely evacuate their breadwinners from the war-torn Middle East country. In a petition submitted to District Collector R. Sukumar along with Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker and their MLA M. Appavu on Saturday, the representatives of the aggrieved families said the State Government should take immediate measures to bring back safely the 36 fishermen from Uvari, who had gone to Iran via Dubai to work as fishermen in the Iranian fishing trawlers. 'As their families cannot contact them since last Tuesday, they are very much worried. Hence, these families are now seeking the State Government's intervention to bring back their family members safely,' said S.V. Antony, former panchayat president of Uvari. The Speaker said fishermen from the coastal hamlets of the district such as Uvari, Koottapuli, Idinthakarai, Kooththenkuzhi, Kooduthaazhai, Kottapanai, Michael Nagar and George Nagar were working in the fishing trawlers of Gulf countries. The Uvari fishermen, who had reached Iran via Dubai had been working in the mechanised fishing boats, which were operating from a few Iranian islands. The Speaker said the tashildars of Radhapuram and Thisaiyanvilai Taluks have been instructed to conduct immediate survey in all coastal hamlets of the district to prepare a comprehensive list of fishermen now stranded in Iran.

Minister praises pivotal role of Revenue Department in Andhra Pradesh's development
VIJAYAWADA: Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra praised the pivotal role of the Revenue Department in the State's development, calling its services invaluable. The Minister was speaking at the Revenue Day celebrations held at the Revenue Kalyana Mandapam in Machilipatnam on Friday. The Minister said the department, established nearly 238 years ago, deserves special recognition for its dedicated public service. The event was attended by APSRTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana Rao, Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balashowri, Gannavaram MLA Yarlagadda Venkat Rao, District Collector DK Balaji, SP R Gangadhar Rao, Joint Collector Geetanjali Sharma, DCMS Chairman Bandi Ramakrishna, and other officials. Minister Ravindra said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had directed the observance of Revenue Day on June 20 each year to honour the department. The Minister appreciated its timely response during emergencies and its key role in issuing certificates such as birth, death, caste, and income. MP Balashowri highlighted the department's services like issuing passbooks and essential documents. APSRTC Chairman Narayana Rao applauded the staff's efforts, while Collector DK Balaji described the department as the 'backbone of all departments.' DRO K Chandrasekhar Rao, RDO K. Swathi, and others also participated. On the sidelines, officials and staff celebrated Minister Kollu Ravindra's birthday and extended their wishes.

Operation Sindhu Continues: Over 500 Indian Nationals Safely Evacuated from Iran Amid Tension In Middle East
The Central government has evacuated over 517 Indian nationals from Iran so far under Operation Sindhu. The government launched Operation Sindhu to evacuate Indian nationals from Iran, amid the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. Giving details of the operation, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a post on X, "Operation Sindhu continues. A special evacuation flight from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, landed in New Delhi at 0300 hrs on 21st June, bringing Indians from Iran home. With this, so far 517 Indian nationals from Iran have returned home under Operation Sindhu." On Friday, a special flight carrying 290 Indian nationals evacuated from Iran reached New Delhi. Additionally, on Thursday, 110 Indian students evacuated from Iran landed in Delhi.
