Qatari delegation visits Emergency Management Department in Miami
MIAMI: As part of security cooperation and expertise exchange during the 2025 Club World Cup, and in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a delegation from the tournament's security force visited the Emergency Management Department in Miami, Florida, USA.
The delegation was headed by Brigadier General Nawaf Majid Al Ali, Assistant Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) for Security Operations, and attended by Brigadier General Jassim Al Bu Hashim Al Sayed, Director General of Communications and Information Systems at the Ministry of Interior and Secretary to the Minister of Interior for Coordination and Follow-up.
The delegation was received by Pete Gomez, Director of Emergency Management, and Raed Jadallah, Chief of the Miami Fire Department. They were briefed on the department's work and reviewed the efforts of the tournament security officers assigned to the Emergency Operations Center.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) suffered a shock 1-0 Club World Cup defeat against Brazilian side Botafogo in a hard-fought battle between the reigning champions of Europe and South America. 'A lot of people wondered, but we showed how strong Botafogo is,' goal scorer Jesus said after the win. 'It was a difficult game, and we had to defend well, and we did our job and scored a goal. 'We're really happy – we knew how important this game was. One team was the champion of the Champions League, the other team was the champion of South America,' added Jesus, who had been strongly linked with a move to English Premier League side Nottingham Forest earlier this year before opting to stay with the Brazilians to play in the Club World Cup. 'I think I made the right choice to stay in Botafogo,' Jesus quipped. PSG coach Luis Enrique said his team had expected a tough battle. 'We knew it was going to be a very difficult match – they defended very well,' the Spaniard said. 'This Club World Cup is very intense and difficult, and all the teams are highly motivated, especially when they're playing against us.' The PSG manager, though, was adamant that the European champions still had plenty of time to resurrect their campaign. 'If there's a team that can turn it around, it's our team,' he said. 'We've got to analyse this and there's things we can improve. But I think our performance was good.' Bayern aim to stay cool in CWC duel with Boca
dpa Miami Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has said that Bayern Munich have to stay cool when they face Boca Juniors on Saturday night at the Club World Cup. Bayern are aware that their opponents from Buenos Aires are of a very different calibre than Auckland City who they trounced 10-0 in their opener. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany drove from their base camp in Orlando to Miami to watch Boca's opening 2-2 draw with Benfica in which they led 2-0 early before having two players sent off while Benfica also ended the game with 10 men. Kompany named the match-up a highlight in the group stage, saying: 'If I wasn't Bayern coach I would have still gone to this match. Clubs with a big tradition from Europe and South America. If you had to a game in the group stage it would be this one.' Neuer said 'we all saw how the game went' and that they will face fired-up team in Miami against who they have to 'stay focused and cool and concentrate on our strengths.' Kompany is not expected to make big changes to his line-up, but Jamal Musiala may start after getting his first 30 minutes and scoring a hat-trick off the bench against Auckland in the comeback from a hamstring injury. Neuer said that 'the teams from South America are not to be underestimated,' and former Bayern striker Giovane Elber of Brazil highlighted that the tournament is of immense prestige for the six teams from South America. 'They are fired up for the tournament. It gives them an opportunity to play against Bayern, against Real Madrid,' Elber said. Elber was also on the pitch when Bayern last played Boca, in the 2001 Intercontinental Cup match in Tokyo which Bayern won 1-0.
