She left a high-paying corporate job and joined showbiz, but unfortunately gained only a little success in Bollywood.
We are talking about actor Aditi Arya Kotak.
Aditi presented India at Miss World 2015, after she was crowned Femina Miss India World 2015.
Hailing from Chandigarh, Aditi Arya Kotak completed her studies at Amity International School before receiving her degree in Business Administration from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. She also holds an MBA degree from Yale School of Management.
For joining the industry, she gave up on her high-paying job at one of the big four accounting firms, Ernst & Young.
Just like many actresses in the film industry, Aditi made her acting debut in 2016 with filmmaker Puri Jagannadh's film Ism, entering Tollywood opposite Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. The film was a success which further paved her way towards her Kannada debut.
She starred in her first Kannada film, Kurukshetra, and later in her first Hindi web series, Tantra by Vikram Bhatt.
Unfortunately, her Bollywood didn't turn out the way she had hoped.
She was scheduled to make her big Bollywood debut with filmmaker Kabir Khan's much-hyped 83, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
In the film, Aditi Arya Kotak essayed the role of Saqib Saleem's on-screen wife, Inderjit Bhardwaj.
The promising film failed to live up to the expectations of critics and viewers; it was a big flop at the box office.

In November 2023, Aditi tied the knot to Jai Kotak, the son of Asia's richest banker Uday Kotak. Their lavish wedding took place at Taj Fateh Prakash Palace Udaipur and Jio World Convention Centre Mumbai.
Uday is the founder and former Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Bank.
According to Forbes, Uday Kotak has a net worth of $15.1 billion ( ₹ 1,25,000 crore), making him the 18th richest man in India.
Aditi was last seen in the Punjabi film, Teriyan Meriyan Hera Pheriyan which was released last year. She is yet to announce her Bollywood comeback.

Kuberaa OTT release: Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni starrer will debut on THIS streaming giant
Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni starrer 'Kuberaa' hit the big screens on Friday, June 20. Released in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil, its OTT release is in wide discussion since its strong theatrical debut. Directed by Sekhar Kammula of 'Fidaa' fame, the film is produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas and Amigos Creations. Featuring a runtime of 182 Mins, this social-themed depicts intense storyline and is packed with powerhouse performances. 'Kuberaa' has bagged a huge OTT deal as streaming giant Amazon Prime Video bought the digital streaming rights of the film reportedly for ₹ 50 crore, OTT play reported. Marking the biggest deal for Dhanush and Nagarjuna, the pan-Indian social thriller is making waves at the box office. Although no confirmation about its release date is available yet, 'Kuberaa' will reportedly be released on OTT platform within a month of its theatrical release. According to a key member of the film crew, the film will be released in the third week of July 2025. The Tollywood movie opened to a massive ₹ 14.75 crore net in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The movie witnessed 19.39 percent spike in its earnings on the second day in theatres and minted ₹ 17.61 crore net on Saturday, June 21. Telugu screenings are driving its earnings and domestic box office collection after two day run stands at ₹ 32.36 crore net. Kuberaa's star cast also features Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil in pivotal roles. The filmmakers in a post on X claimed that the movie did a business of ₹ 30 crore gross worldwide on Day 1. The post states, " ₹ 30 Cr+ Day 1 worldwide gross (estimated). This is just the beginning of a rage that's set to ignite the box office in the days to come."

Film sets can't replicate the spirit of real locations: Director Rohit
For his upcoming film Ekka, starring Yuva Rajkumar and Sanjana Anand, director Rohit Padaki made a clear choice: to ground the movie in the raw reality of Bengaluru's busiest streets rather than the controlled environment of sets. 'Sets can never compete with what real locations can provide. There's an air of reality in every frame that you simply can't get from a set,' says the director. To achieve this level of authenticity, the film's team adopted a focused strategy. 'We shot in some of Bengaluru's busiest areas, like Shivaji Nagar, where we hid our cameras and filmed the scene; we wanted to make it look as real as possible. This method involved rehearsing scenes like theatre artistes, then moving to the actual locations for hidden-camera shoots. Nearly 30-40% of the film has been shot in this manner,' he reveals. Excerpts from a chat: 'KANNADA CINEMA IS DRIVEN BY A METROPOLITAN CULTURE' 'A metropolitan culture of filmmaking is taking over,' laments Rohit. He emphasises that for movies to truly succeed, the focus needs to shift back to strong writing, particularly one that embraces the 'native element which connects us to our roots.' The director points to other regional industries as examples. 'Take a look at Tamil or Malayalam movies; even though some of them are larger than life, they are still rooted in their culture. This connection is largely missing in Kannada cinema today because of the metropolitan culture of filmmaking, in most cases.' Earlier, the Kannada Film Industry used to make and release movies in short periods; it doesn't happen as often now Rohit Padaki 'WE TOOK ON A CHALLENGE TO FINISH THE MOVIE IN NINE MONTHS' Rohit adds that he found a unique advantage in a largely fresh team and an ambitious production timeline. 'Around 80 per cent of the crew and cast were new. It was a good experience working with them because everyone was very hungry for success. We took on a challenge to finish the movie, from start to finish, in nine months. I didn't want to waste too much time working on one movie,' he explains.
