Ranbir Kapoor's Clean-Shaven Look, Drastic Weight Loss After Animal Leaves Fans Stunned
Last Updated:
Fresh off the shoot for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Ranbir has shifted gears to begin prep for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming romantic saga Love and War.
Ranbir Kapoor is making headlines again and it's not for his film performances, but jaw-dropping transformation. The actor, who had bulked up and sported a rugged beard for his intense role in Animal, was recently spotted looking drastically leaner and completely clean-shaven. The video of his new look has now taken the internet by storm.
Fresh off the shoot for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Ranbir has shifted gears to begin prep for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming romantic saga Love and War. In a viral clip circulating online, the actor is seen in the city sporting a fresh, clean-shaven face and a slick hairstyle, noticeably slimmer than his Animal avatar. Dressed casually in a red tee and denim from his personal label, Ranbir waved at the paparazzi, posed for pictures, and even handed his cap to one of the photographers before stepping into his car.

Fans who were used to seeing his wild, bearded look in Animal were stunned by the dramatic change. In Animal, Ranbir played the ferocious Ranvijay Singh, whose violent journey begins when his father Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor) is threatened. The film followed his descent into violence and eventual confrontation with his cousin Abrar Haque (Bobby Deol). It ended with a cliffhanger, setting up Animal Park, the upcoming sequel.
Interestingly, Ranbir's grungy look in Animal almost didn't happen. Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim recently revealed that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was initially against the idea of long hair and beard, fearing it looked too much like Ranbir's appearance in Sanju. 'Had Ranbir's hair and beard not been long in Animal, I don't think his character would have the same impact," Aalim told Galatta India. 'Vanga sir initially said the long hair isn't working… I had to convince him that once the full look was in place, it wouldn't resemble Sanju."
Despite criticism for its perceived misogynistic tone, Animal was a blockbuster, earning over Rs 915 crore globally. With Love and War now on the horizon, Ranbir's latest transformation has sparked fresh curiosity about what's in store next.

'Paatal Lok' actor Jaideep Ahlawat: 'Couldn't say no to Shah Rukh Khan for King, had to turn down Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana because...'
The actor said, 'SRK sir had been thinking about this for quite some time, as far as I know.' read more Jaideep Ahlawat confirmed in an interview with The Lallantop that he is a part of Shah Rukh Khan's King. The actor said, 'SRK sir had been thinking about this for quite some time, as far as I know.' He added, 'But Siddharth (Anand) bhai was a bit hesitant to offer it since it was a small role after Jewel Thief. But Khan saab being Khan saab, he said, 'I'll talk to him.' Now who could say no to him?). STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD On Shah Rukh Khan 'I really like him. In all my interactions with him — in the five to seven times we've met — starting from Raees, where I shot with him for four to five days, and even after that, whenever we met, he always made me feel like I was the closest person to him. He's a wonderful human being. He has some amazing qualities. Every time I've met him, he's made me feel important.' On rejecting Ramayana 'I was offered the role, but the timing didn't match. It required a specific schedule because Vibhishan's scenes need to be with Raavana. I'm sure Raavana's dates were more important than mine. I think Yash from KGF is playing Raavana.' The actor also revealed, 'A time comes when you need to do something and you get a good role. It gets out with people liking it but you still don't have work. After Raazi, I didn't have work. And you are like, 'what went wrong?' Everybody is praising it. Everybody is talking about the role.' Exclusive - Sheezaan Khan on Tujhse Hai Ashiqui: Wanted to explore playing a negative character
Tujhse Hai Ashiqui which started from June 6, features actor Sheezaan Khan as Arjun Waliya. While the actor is excited for the audience to see him in a negative character, he shared that he did not relate to it at all. He said, 'I don't relate to it at all. The character is a villain. Every person has an ideology, whether he is a villain or a hero, and they think they are always correct. While playing my character, I used to feel bad after the scene. I, as Sheizaan, used to feel bad about whatever I was doing in my character. This is the first time in my 12–13 years of career that I am playing a character like that.' 'I had never played a villain before, so this was a big reason for me to say yes to this show. I wanted to explore playing a negative character, and I had two big examples in my mind: first was Shah Rukh Khan in Darr, and second was Bobby Deol in Animal. I was okay with less screen time, but I wanted my character to be impactful. And that was it. If there is no Arjun Waliya in Tujhse Hai Ashiqui, then there is no conflict,' he added. When asked whether he feels fashion on screen has declined in the entertainment industry, he disagreed and said, 'Fashion and storytelling are two very different things.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Ibbenbüren: Nur 700 Plätze. He cites Gangs of Wasseypur as an example, a film that succeeded immensely because of its strong narrative. He added, 'It's just how a maker wants to show their show.' Behind the scenes, Sheezaan credits Ravie, who has directed the show, for being his guiding force throughout the shoot. Whenever he was confused or unsure about a scene, a quick call to Ravie would set things right. 'He used to just pick up my call and tell me how the scene should be performed, or if there is any change in the scene, how it should be done. So for me, he was like a guide. I trusted his vision completely,' he ended. Gashmeer Mahajani: I can only do limited series, but not daily soaps
