The Great Indian Kapil Show 3: Kapil Sharma teases Archana Puran Singh was nervous about Navjot Singh Sidhu's return; says ‘She even consulted an astrologer'
The Great Indian Kapil Show made a grand comeback with its third season, premiering last night with a fun-filled episode. The laughter-packed debut featured Bollywood superstar
Salman Khan
's first appearance on the show, along with the much-awaited return of
Navjot Singh Sidhu
as a judge, joining
Archana Puran Singh
.
Kapil kicked off the episode by greeting the audience and Sidhu, teasing that the platform had to spend a lot of money to bring him back.
Kapil Sharma
playfully asked Navjot Singh Sidhu about joining forces with Archana Puran Singh and his return to The Great Indian Kapil Show. In response, Sidhu shared a shayari, saying that Dehradun could never come between the charm of two people from Amritsar. Kapil continued the banter by joking that Archana had been anxious ever since she heard about Sidhu's return and even consulted astrologers about it.
He says, "Jyotish ko jaake kehti hai, Rahu aur ketu ko toh main sambhal lungi ye Sidhu ka koi upay batao.
.(I can handle Rahu and Ketu, but what do I do with Sidhu?).
This had everyone bursting into laughter. Kapil then added to the fun by joking that the astrologer Archana consulted was none other than Akash Chopra, who changed his profession out of fear of Sidhu's commentary. He further says that Sidhu had no problems sharing the judges chair with Archana.
Kapil says, "Sidhu ji said look, I do commentary with someone even during matches, I can handle it sitting next to someone here too.
of course, it's a whole other thing that he never lets anyone else talk."
Kapil doesn't stop and cracks a hilarious joke about how in one of the recent matches he did not allow Harbhajan Singh to speak during cricket commentary and kept talking.
The ace comedian expresses his happiness about Navjot Singh Sidhu's return on the show.
However, he jokes that because of him they ended up taking a long break of six months. Sidhu gives a hilarious comeback, "Good thing it took only six months, imagine what you'd have done if it took nine months."
Kapil doesn't leave the chance and takes a dig at Sidhu and says, "Main toh phir break mein mere bacche hue, jab corona hua, aap toh chalte matchon mein kar gaye, dekho aap." (For the record, I had my kids during COVID, when the world was on a break. You had yours while the cricket matches were still going on).

Aamir Khan breaks down recalling his decision to quit films: 'I knew what my directors' dreams and fears were, but not my own children's'
Before the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan broke down in tears while speaking about a deeply personal phase in his life, one where he contemplated walking away from films to make up for the time he felt he lost with his children and family. The superstar, who has been a part of Indian cinema for over three decades, shared that the Covid-19 pandemic was a turning point that made him reassess his priorities. 'I had not given them any time' Aamir recounted how, during the lockdown, he realised just how much he had neglected his personal life in pursuit of his career. 'All these 18 years of my life were filled with passion, magic and a craze for creativity,' he said in an emotional appearance on Aap Ki Adalat. 'But I was 56, and I started thinking — what have I done with my family, my children, my ammi, and my siblings? I had not given them any time.' With tears in his eyes, the Dangal star shared that his children Ira and Junaid were already in their twenties, and he had no idea what their childhood dreams or insecurities were. 'I knew what my directors' (Ashutosh Gowariker) dreams and fears were, but not my own children's. When I realised this, I was depressed for three days.' Aamir's decision to quit and what changed his mind It was during this time that Aamir decided Laal Singh Chaddha would be his last film. He informed his family and even called Sitaare Zameen Par director RS Prasanna to step away from acting in the project. But it was his children, and ex-wife Kiran Rao, who eventually pulled him back. 'Junaid told me, 'Papa, you're being an extremist. Earlier you gave everything to films, and now you want to give everything to us. There's a middle path.'' Ira, too, expressed that he had already spent significant time with them, and they had their own lives to lead. Kiran, visibly moved, told Aamir, 'You are a child of cinema. If you leave films, you'll leave us too. Don't do that.' Their words struck a chord. Aamir Khan, Gauri & Azad Steal the Spotlight at Sitaare Zameen Par Premiere Aamir's promise: 'I will never leave cinema' When Aamir was asked if he could now promise fans that he wouldn't leave films again, the actor responded with conviction, 'I want to promise here, in this show, I will never leave the film industry. Whatever I am today is because of the affection of my fans. I am grateful to all. I thank the Almighty for granting me this. I am grateful to my country, my soil and my people.'

Exclusive - Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain actress Shubhangi Atre: The industry will continue to change, it's a bit scary
Actress Shubhangi Atre, who is known for her show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, says that the industry has grown by leaps and bounds, and the modes of entertainment are going to continue to evolve. She adds that this can get a little overwhelming at times. 'The industry has already changed a lot, especially after COVID. The work culture and budgeting have changed. And in the next five years, with artificial intelligence growing, I feel things will change even more. It's a bit scary honestly. But I still believe that content is king. If you create good content, it will always work. Today people are very stressed in life, and entertainment gives them a little break from that. Music and entertainment offer relief, so we should focus on creating good content,' she says. Ask her what changes she wants to see, and she says, 'The content on TV is still a bit regressive, and that bothers me. We can definitely make more progressive shows. Second, I feel TV actors don't get the respect they deserve. People often don't take TV actors seriously. There's a perception that TV actors are overexposed or not as good. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? The mindset towards TV actors needs to change.' Meanwhile, she says that the cut-throat nature of the industry is one thing that will not change. 'Competition is very real. Sometimes people don't want to do certain roles, or they leave projects. That's their personal choice, and I respect that. But if someone is more committed, more disciplined, or more eager to work, then yes, they will get opportunities. That's what we call survival of the fittest. I just believe don't snatch work from someone, but if they don't want to do it and you can, there's no harm. Life goes on. Nothing is irreplaceable. And stardom is very temporary. We are just like passing faces on a screen. What truly matters is how well we perform and how much people connect with us,' she says. Salman Khan shares his deeper concern when asked about marriage: 'Phir divorce toh chalo hogaya, woh aadhe paise bhi toh le jaati hai'
Even at 59, Salman Khan continues to be quizzed about his bachelor status, a tag he has carried for nearly four decades. During a recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, the superstar was once again teased about his refusal to marry, and as expected, he responded with his trademark humour and honesty. Host Kapil Sharma jokingly asked Salman if he plans to follow in Aamir Khan's footsteps and find a new girlfriend. Without missing a beat, Salman replied, 'No such plans.' Archana Puran Singh, who was also present, chimed in, asking if he wasn't tired of the same question after all these years. Salman's reply had everyone in splits. 'Main humesha kehta hu ki mere shaadi kar lene mein aapka kya faeda hai? Kya aapko maza aa raha hai ki main aapke liye suhagrat mana raha hu? Main kya kar raha hu jisme aapko itni khushi ho rahi hai ki main barbad ho jau?' (I always say—how does it benefit you if I get married? Are you enjoying the fact that I'm spending my wedding night for you? What am I doing that brings you so much joy in seeing me ruined?)' 'Divorce happens over snoring now' Delving into why marriage doesn't appeal to him, Salman pointed out the changing dynamics of relationships. 'Couples today split over minor issues like snoring or sleeping positions,' he said, adding that the level of patience and willingness to compromise has dropped drastically. He also shared his deeper concern: 'Phir divorce toh chalo hogaya, woh aadhe paise bhi toh le jaati hai,' he said bluntly, talking about the financial and emotional toll of modern-day divorces.
