'The stories being told in South Indian cinema today are bigger, bolder, and rooted in emotional truth. There's so much beauty in the writing, the vision, and the depth of characters. And now, I finally feel I'm ready—as an actor and as a person—to be part of that,' she says.
Yamini's journey into showbiz began with her two debut films, one in Telugu and one in Punjabi, both releasing on the same day. 'It was exciting and surreal,' she recalls.
Yamini added, 'But naturally, I leaned more toward Punjabi films at that time as I was comfortable with the language, I knew the people, and it gave me a safe space to grow.'
Despite having deep respect for South Indian cinema, she admits that she took a step back then. 'I was in awe, but also slightly intimidated because of the language barrier. I wasn't ready at that time. Now, after so many life and work experiences, I can proudly say, I am.'
Yamini further opened up about her journey into the Industry, 'People know me for being fun, expressive, and full of life. Whether it's on reality TV, film sets, or public events, I carry that energy with me, but there's also a very grounded, passionate side to me that thrives on serious, meaningful work.'
Being a dental surgeon, transitioned into cinema, Yamini made her mark with the Telugu film Chuttalabbai, and has continued to grow. Now, she's looking to make a purposeful comeback to the South — this time not as a newcomer, but as an artist with intent. Yamini said, 'It's no longer just about screen time or a role. It's about the script, the emotion, the message. South cinema gives actors that space to explore — and I'm genuinely drawn to that now.

Puja Sharma and Ashish Dixit on the healing power of Yoga and Music
On the occasion of International Yoga Day and World Music Day, television actors Puja Sharma and Ashish Dixit share how yoga and music help them stay grounded amidst their demanding shoot schedules — offering moments of calm, clarity, and joy. Puja Sharma, who plays Kanka in Jhanak, is working toward building a more consistent yoga practice and believes even 3–4 days a week can bring a real shift — physically, mentally, and emotionally. 'I truly want to make yoga a more permanent part of my lifestyle because I've seen how even a little bit can create balance,' she shares. Music, too, is an essential part of her daily rhythm. 'I start my mornings with chants and meditation music to feel centered, and before stepping out, I dance to a high-energy Punjabi song to uplift my vibe! After a long day on set, soothing music — be it AR Rahman, Indian classical, ghazals, or 90s Bollywood — helps me unwind and reconnect with myself. Music is my therapy — a silent friend that's always there.' For Ashish Dixit, the lead in Pati Brahmachari, yoga is a way to reset during packed days on set. 'Yoga helps me find moments of stillness in a hectic routine. Even on busy shoot days, I try to fit in short stretches or breathing exercises between scenes. It calms my nerves and helps me approach every shot with more focus.' When it comes to music, his choices are rooted in emotion. 'I often listen to soft instrumental tracks or soulful Sufi music on my way to the set — it puts me in the right frame of mind. And after a long day, nothing beats old Hindi classics to help me unwind.' For both actors, yoga and music are more than wellness trends — they're essential tools for emotional balance and self-connection. Can you laugh like these TV celebs?

Speaking to ETimes, the businessman-turned-actor called it 'the darkest times of my life," admitting it was a phase filled with anger, pain, and intense self-reflection. He said, 'There was anger, hurt and confusion, but also deep self-reflection. I could've let that chapter define me, but I chose instead to learn from it." Raj's legal troubles are far from over. While he is currently out on bail, the case is still under trial. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also attached assets worth nearly Rs 98 crore in a money laundering probe related to the case. Reflecting on the fallout, Raj revealed how that period tested his relationships. 'Some friendships vanished overnight, others got stronger than ever. But the real pain was watching my loved ones suffer because of my headlines," he said. The most emotional part of his revelation was about his family's unwavering support, particularly wife Shilpa Shetty. 'Shilpa stood by me with grace and resilience, even when it would've been easier to walk away. My kids gave me reason to smile when I felt like disappearing. That kind of unconditional support rewires your soul," Raj said. Kundra, who is now making his acting debut in the Punjabi film Mehar, said he's not interested in stardom but in telling meaningful stories. 'I'm not chasing stardom — I'm chasing stories," he added.
