Pete Hegseth lauded for reviving military recruitment in the US
Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer attributes the surge in US military recruitment to Pete Hegseth's appointment as defense secretary.
This comes as NYT Pentagon reporter John Ismay criticised Hegseth for referring to B-2 pilots as 'our boys', when both men and women have been trained to fly them.
'This is the whole point of Pete Hegseth; this is why people like me were so gung-ho about his nomination in the first place,' Mr Hammer told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
'He is in touch with the young men and young women ... who are willing to pick up arms and serve this country.'
