What's one story you tell about why you got into radio? While interning in college at WILD Radio in Boston, the music director left and I took her spot at 22 years old. Radio made me happier than anything else.
Who's one person you grew up admiring in media? Charlie Rose. It was just him, the person at a table, and no fancy backdrop.
Your one can't-break rule in radio: Respect the audience. There's somebody who may have woken up that day just to hear your voice.
What's one daily ritual you can't do without? Meditation. I'm a fan of Insight Timer.
What's one podcast you can't do without? Steven Bartlett's "The Diary of a CEO."
What's one habit you wish you could break? Procrastination.
Your one favorite person in Philadelphia: Rapper Chill Moody. He put the "E" in entrepreneur.
Who's one person you interviewed who you still think about? Prince. The paramount thing to know about him: He cared about his craft.
What's one thing you're going to miss about "Reality Check" and WURD Radio? Connecting with an audience that cares about our community.

The former first lady said it wouldn't be a secret if she split from the former president during a May 1 episode of "The Diary of a CEO" podcast with host Steven Bartlett. Matthew McConaughey Reunites With True Detective Creator for Mike Hammer Movie

and True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto are reuniting for a new Mike Hammer movie. McConaughey played Detective Rustin 'Rust' Cohle alongside Woody Harrelson as Detective Martin 'Marty' Hart in the first season of HBO's True Detective show, which premiered in January 2014. The show earned by McConaughey and Harrelson Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Now, per Deadline, Pizzolatto and McConaughey are reuniting for a new Skydance feature film that will be based on the Mike Hammer book series. The script for the film was written by Pizzolatto, while a director is not yet attached to the project. Entertainment 360's Guymon Casady and Pendleton's Benjamin Forkner serve as producers alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Ken F. Levin. Max Allan Collins is an executive producer, while Jane Spillane is a co-producer. Created by Mickey Spillane, Mike Hammer is a private investigator character who debuted in the 1947 book I, the Jury. He has since appeared in numerous books and short stories, with Collins taking over the series following Spillane's death. There have been a handful of Mike Hammer films in the past, including two adaptations of I, the Jury, one of which was released in 1953 and one in 1982. Others include 1955's Kiss Me Deadly, 1957's My Gun Is Quick, and 1963's The Girl Hunters. While McConaughey hasn't been in a live-action movie since 2019's The Gentlemen, he's got a couple of them coming out in the near future. The Rivals of Amziah King held its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Festival and received rave reviews from critics, though a release date has not yet been set. He's also starring in Paul Greengrass' The Lost Bus, which arrives this coming fall. Pizzolatto and McConaughey's Mike Hammer movie does not have a release date at this time. Michelle Obama: Springsteen and wife have been ‘couple mentors'

Former first lady Michelle Obama said rock singer Bruce Springsteen and his wife have been a guiding light for her marriage. The comments, which she made on the Wednesday episode of her IMO podcast, come as Springsteen celebrates 34 years with his wife, singer-songwriter Patti Scialfa. 'You and Patti have been couple mentors for me and Barack for quite some time,' Obama told the musical artist. She added that she respects the two for remaining 'powerhouses in (their) own right and merging those lives together.' Earlier this year, the former first lady was forced to address divorce rumors due to her absence from world events. She said her decision to forego public appearances had nothing to do with her marriage but rather was a decision to choose herself. 'If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,' the former first lady said while appearing on 'The Diary of a CEO' podcast. She's openly discussed frustrations muddled by a two-term stint at the White House that posed strict guidelines for conflict management in which she rendered herself second to the responsibilities of first lady. However, Obama said quitting was never a choice. 'The beauty of my husband and our partnership is that neither one of us was ever really, ever going to quit at it, because that's not who we are. And I know that about him. He knows that about me,' she said on the 'The Diary of a CEO' podcast. 'I talk about these things because I think that people give up too quickly on marriage,' she added.
