Lorde Announces "Hammer," the Final "Virgin" Single Before Album Release

Lorde is laying down the hammer in the last few days before her new album, Virgin, arrives, with the pop star announcing that she has one more single coming out in advance.
Lorde revealed Wednesday on
Instagram
that the new song will be titled 'Hammer.' 'First song on the album,' she wrote in her caption. 'An ode to city life and horniness tbh.'
The New Zealand native also shared what appears to be the track's cover art: a photo of Lorde facing the bathroom mirror as she washes her face at the sink, wearing a white tank and gray underclothes.
Lorde didn't say when exactly the song will arrive, but she did post on Instagram one day prior the announcement, 'Virgin in ten days, another song in a few.'
'Hammer' will follow Virgin's first two singles, 'What Was That' and 'Man of the Year.' Lorde dropped the former in April along with a DIY music video filmed in part at a fan meetup in Washington Square Park, and on the latter — released in late May — she reflects on her broadening gender identity while embracing her inner masculinity.
Gender is one of several topics Lorde has promised to explore on Virgin, which drops June 27 via Republic Records featuring production from Jim-E Stack, Fabiana Palladino, Andrew Aged, Buddy Ross, Dan Nigro and Dev Hynes of Blood Orange.
The singer-songwriter has also said that the album was informed by her experiences with disordered eating, quitting birth control, and breaking off a long-term relationship.

Yara Sameh Cardi B has returned on Friday with a brand thumping new song, 'Outside,' as she's ready to take over the summer. The Bronx bombshell announced plans for the song on Tuesday. 'Outside' marks Cardi's first solo single of 2025 and her first single since 'Enough' in 2024. The 32-year-old musician has kept busy throughout 2025 with appearances at the Met Gala and the start of a new chapter with NFL star Stefon Diggs. Cardi went public with her relationship in May when she was spotted courtside at a New York Knicks playoff game with Diggs. She has also been in mom mode, taking care of her three children. The singer posted the first official photos of her baby Blossom on Instagram earlier this week, which saw Cardi having a fun pool day at home with the kids. Becky G to Perform at Mawazine Festival

Yara Sameh The annual Mawazine Festival in Rabat, Morocco has confirmed several high-profile artists for its June 2025 edition, including the Mexican American superstar Becky G. Running from June 20 to 28, the festival—held under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI—will take over Rabat and neighboring Salé, offering fans nine days of live music from across the globe. "Watar Hassas" Is Coming Back for Season 2

Yara Sameh "Watar Hassas" has been renewed for season 2. Season 1 of the series debuted on October 27 and revolved around the issue of marital infidelity and the secrets of the human psyche through three women (a doctor, a lawyer, and an employee), as the pace of events escalates due to the disputes between the lawyer and her interior designer husband, especially after she accuses him of infidelity, with the relationships between all parties becoming intertwined. The cast starred Saba Mubarak, Injy El Mokkaddem, Heidy Karam, Mohamed Alaa, Ahmed Gamal Said, Mohamed El Amroussi, Hager Afify, Mohamed Aly Rezk, Ahmed Tarek Nour, and more. "Watar Hassas" consists of 45 episodes and was produced by ‎United Media Services‎. It was written by scriptwriter Amin Gamal and directed by Wael Farag. Season 2 of "Watar Hassas" takes place after the events of the first season. Ghada Adel is in negotiations to play the titular role instead of Mubarak, who will not be returning for the upcoming season. The creators of "Watar Hassas" will also add new elements to the plot to keep up with the events.
