John Lundstram and Borna Barisic facing Trabzonspor axe
The former Rangers pair joined the Turkish side on free transfers last summer but are now facing uncertain futures.
Left-back Barisic has hardly featured, while midfielder Lundstram has been criticised for his performances.
Reports in Turkey suggest Barisic's contract may even be terminated.
Trabzonspor manager Fatih Tekke needs to cut seven players from his squad this summer due to a quota of 12 foreign players, with 14 currently in the squad and more returning from loans.
The club are also planning to sign another five players in the transfer market.

Rangers poised to announce Russell Martin as their new manager
Barisic and the club are reportedly in discussions over cancelling his contract, while Lundstram, 31, is at risk of being moved on due to his age.
Both players signed three-year deals with Trabzonspor last year, so their departures may not be straightforward.
The team's disappointing European campaign, which saw them crash out of both the Europa and Conference Leagues, and a poor start to the league season have contributed to the need for a squad overhaul.
However, they did manage to recover somewhat, finishing seventh in the league and reaching the final of the Turkish Cup.
The team went through three permanent managers over the course of the season, with Tekke only appointed in March.
Barisic's season was further disrupted by a loan move to Leganes in Spain in January, which was cut short by a serious injury in his first game.
Ex-Man City star Stefan Savic, Edin Visca, and Anthony Nwakaeme are also said to be likely candidates for summer sales.

Max Aarons to Rangers latest as Gers poised to announce capture of major summer target despite rival interest
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) RANGERS are closing in on a loan deal for Bournemouth's Max Aarons. New boss Russell Martin made the 25-year-old right-back one of his first summer targets after winning the Ibrox gig earlier this month. Sign up for the Rangers newsletter Sign up 3 Aarons in action for Bournemouth Credit: Getty 3 Rangers boss Russell Martin worked with Aarons previously Credit: PA 3 Leeds boss Daniel Farke also reportedly interested in Aarons Credit: Getty Bournemouth have now sanctioned a loan deal for Aarons, who spent the second half of last season with Valencia in Spain, but made just a handful of appearances. With the Gers stars due back for pre-season on Monday, Martin hopes to get the deal concluded quickly for him to travel north and join his side as they build up to the new season. Aarons made over 200 appearances for Martin's former club Norwich and was a youth player in their system during his time there. And he spoke fondly about the impact the former Canaries captain had on his development. He told the Talk Norwich Podcast last month: "The advice he would give and the relationship we built from there, he was almost like a father figure. "It's incredible. I nearly ended up back with them [Martin and Matt Gill] upon leaving Norwich that year, so that shows how the relationship just grew and grew. "They were definitely the ones that initially believed in me for sure." Now he's set to rekindle their relationship in Glasgow as he becomes his second signing after Lyall Cameron's move from Dundee was formally completed last week. And it's claimed Aarons turned down other options down south including in England's top flight. A report by TBR Football says Premier League new boys Leeds United were interested in his securing a loan deal for the former England Under 21 international. Rangers captain James Tavernier spotted training with ex-team-mate and old Premiership rival Ryan Porteous who branded him 'bad loser' Leeds are managed by Daniel Farke who was Aarons former boss at Norwich, and are also owned by 49ers Enterprises - the investment arm of the San Francisco 49ers NFL team. They were part of the US consortium which completed the takeover of Rangers last month. The report also claims Burnley, who secured promotion to the Premier League, and a host of other Championship clubs were interested in the full-back as well. Rangers boss Russell Martin is looking to get players through the door with a tricky Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos on the horizon. Their pursuit of Israeli striker Dor Turgeman has apparently hit 'a major snag', with complications surrounding the current geopolitical landscape there. The Ibrox side are also preparing talks with Belgian star Nico Raskin as Martin looks to build his team around the talented midfielder. Jurgen Klopp sends message to Florian Wirtz after record Liverpool move
Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool have signed an 'exceptional talent' in club record signing Florian Writz. Wirtz, 22, was officially unveiled as a Liverpool player on Friday night having completed his £116million move from Bayer Leverkusen. Including add-ons, that fee will make him the most expensive signing in Premier League history, dwarfing Liverpool's previous record fee of £85m, spent on Darwin Nunez two years ago. Despite the considerable outlay, Wirtz is regarded as one of the best young talents in European football, coveted by Manchester City and Real Madrid before deciding on a move to Merseyside. Klopp, who stepped down as Liverpool boss at the end of the 2023-24 season having since taken up a new role at Red Bull GmbH, is convinced his old side have landed a winner. Having won the Premier League title at a canter, Liverpool have avoided the mistake of standing still in the transfer market. While they lost Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, the Reds moved quickly to bring in a replacement in Jeremie Frimpong. Milos Kerkez meanwhile is expected to arrive from Bournemouth as Andy Robertson's replacement at left-back. 'It's very difficult to strengthen them when you're champions,' Klopp continued. 'But Liverpool have managed that. They've signed an exceptional talent in Florian Wirtz . 'I'm looking forward to seeing it. It's going to be good.' More Trending Writz was admired by City who at one point viewed him as a long-term successor for Kevin de Bruyne while Xabi Alonso was interested in bringing him along from Leverkusen to Real Madrid. 'I just thought that it was the right point in my career to make the next step and of course I wanted to get to a club that is from the top three in the world, and in my opinion Liverpool was one of them,' Wirtz said, explaining his decision to head to Anfield. 'Yeah, I just saw myself in the best hands in Liverpool. 'I was really convinced by the people here, by the idea, and everything what the club offers me was really good. And in the end [it was] also easy to be excited for me to come to Liverpool.' It was certainly a unique way to tease the news Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) AN SPFL club have incorporated footage of an iconic Rangers goal into a signing tease, briefly leaving some fans perplexed. The Gers' Europa League moment is fondly remembered by fans, but few would have thought it would be used in this way. Mick Kennedy and Si Ferry's men defeated Bonnyrigg Rose in the playoff final to make it into the SPFL for the first time in the young outfit's short history. Ahead of the huge campaign the transfer business is already well underway. Ex-Kelty Hearts and Partick Thistle midfielder James Lyon, East Fife's Jack Healy, and star of Edinburgh City and Love Island Ouzy See have signed up. They also snapped up 6ft 4in Slovakian centre half Erik Sula who was most recently at Stirling Albion. But the latest signing is very different and EKFC had some thinking they'd pulled off a massive coup to sign ex-Ibrox star John Lundstram! They posted a clip on social media of the Englishman's goal which completed a stunning European comeback against German side RB Leipzig back in May 2022. The 3-2 victory on aggregate saw them through to the final of the competition in which they were defeated by Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties. The video - shared with the classic signing teaser caption of eyes and pen emojis - had supporters saying 'no chance surely' and 'I don't understand'. But it was all made clear soon after as the club confirmed that commentator Callum Patterson is returning to K-Park. Mick Kennedy & Si Ferry in dreamland as play-off win sparks wild pitch invasion as East Kilbride plot rise through SPFL His voice can be heard in the Rangers clip describing the moment: "Keeper's made a mess of this, oh and it's going to go in, it's Lundstram! "And Rangers have got a third goal, they're back in front in the tie! "John Lundstram slides his knees into the corner, into the fans!" EKFC said in their post they're 'thrilled' to welcome him back to commentary duties for match highlights, bringing a 'wealth of experience' with him. One replied that it was the 'strangest announcement I've seen', while another commented: "Teaser video for a commentator, Scottish football never change."
