Aybüke Pusat fired from TRT's "The Organization" over CHP Boycott support

Al Bawaba03-04-2025

ALBAWABA - Aybüke Pusat was fired from TRT's "The Organization" after supporting the CHP boycott movement online.
Fans were shocked to learn that Aybüke Pusat was kicked off the cast of "The Organization" by TRT for endorsing the Republican People's Party (CHP) boycott movement.
Before removing the post, Pusat had posted the demand for a boycott on her Instagram account. Even still, she continued to receive harsh criticism, which finally resulted in her termination from the show.
TRT General Manager Zahid Subaç clarified in an official statement that the boycott was driven by political reasons and that her endorsement went against the channel's values, professionalism, and conception of public broadcasting.

The script would be changed to reflect this alteration, he confirmed, adding that Pusat's involvement "did not align with TRT's corporate values and disappointed the series' viewers."
Following her trauma, Uğur Özgür Özel, the head of the Turkish opposition, backed Aybüke.
"Wherever she acts, we will make her achieve record viewership numbers," he claimed in press releases. "We will support her wherever she goes," he continued. These individuals don't even feel guilty about taking away someone's source of income.
Following her ordeal, Ebuki's partner, Furkan Andıç, stood by her side and offered support, posting a story on Instagram with the caption, "I am by your side, my rose."

The channel has unfollowed Murat Daltaban's official social media accounts. It is unclear whether his involvement in the movement to boycott the national economy led to his expulsion from the "Once Upon a Time in Istanbul" television series.
Additionally, Boran Kuzum was taken off the set of "The Story of a Soul," which was supposed to air on the state-run TRT1 platform and would have starred him alongside Deniz Baysal.

The arrest comes as tensions in Turkey have escalated after Ekrem İmamoğlu and 51 other people were arrested in connection with investigations into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Protests erupted in response to these events, leading to the arrest of more than 300 university students.

Kim Kardashian 's embarrassing conversation with ChatGPT is going viral

ALBAWABA - Kim Kardashian 's ChatGPT chat sparks backlash and confusion across social media. Kim Kardashian shared a snapshot of her ChatGPT discussion on her Instagram story on Wednesday, to which many have responded negatively. For those who are unaware, ChatGPT is an app that allows users to communicate with an AI-generated chatbot. As a result, the chatbot is essentially a robot that learns how each user wishes to connect with it through artificial intelligence and modifies its style accordingly. This explains why Kim's screenshot, which showed that she talks to the chatbot like a human, left so many people perplexed. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 19: Kim Kardashian (Photo by Emma McIntyre / Getty Images via AFP) Sadly for us, Kim only shared what seems to be the conclusion of her interaction with ChatGPT. Kim's first message in the grab reads, "Thanks for taking accountability." It's huge in my opinion. "Thank you so much for saying that," the chatbot answered. It means a lot, particularly from someone who obviously values precision and thoroughness. 'I'll keep raising my game to meet your standards,' the bot went on. 'If there's ever any doubt or if you want a deeper dive on anything, I'm here for it.' 'Thanks dude,' Kim wrote back, to which ChatGPT said: 'Anytime — you got it, dude😎 Let's crush the next one.' Kim posted the grab without further comment, but did add the '🥹' emoji, suggesting that she was genuinely touched by this exchange. Kim Kardashian Instagram story However, the online community did not share this feeling, and the screen grab swiftly gained popularity on X as users expressed their perplexed responses to the discussion. One user commented on Kim's initial statement in the chat: "……. this is the dumbest thing I've ever fucking seen? How did a language program assume responsibility? 'What does a robot have to take accountability for?' one mor asked. 'What's with people and developing an emotional connection with ChatGPT? Do they not realize that it's fucking weird?' somebody else tweeted, with another echoing, 'Is she really this lonely?' 'Was she arguing with a fucking robot?' Someone else asked, while another well-liked remark highlighted the severe harm that artificial intelligence in all its forms brings to the environment, saying, "The Earth's temperature just increased by one degree because of this." Another X user simply concluded, 'Having convos with ChatGPT or AI in general is so embarrassing.' In fact, Kim's remark was made just one day after Time published an article about a recent study conducted by MIT Media Lab researchers that suggested ChatGPT might be "eroding critical thinking skills." An illustration photograph taken on February 20, 2025 shows ChatGPT app (Photo by Justin TALLIS / AFP) 54 participants, ages 18 to 39, were divided into three groups for the study, and they were instructed to compose several SAT essays using ChatGPT, Google, or neither. After measuring the writers' brain activity with EEG, they found that ChatGPT users did worse in terms of brain function, language skills, and behavior, showing the least brain activity compared to the other two groups. Over the course of several months, the study discovered that ChatGPT users became lazy with each essay, and by the end, many had resorted to copying and pasting.

Flight suspensions extended: What you need to know

In the wake of a sharp military escalation between Israeli Occupation and Iran, marked by an 'Israeli' airstrike on Iranian territory and a retaliatory Iranian attack targeting Tel Aviv, several international and regional airlines have suspended or canceled flights to destinations across the Middle East, citing growing security concerns. The Lufthansa Group announced that it is suspending its flights to Tel Aviv and Tehran until July 31, and to Amman, Beirut, and Erbil until June 20, due to the regional security situation. Here's a breakdown of current airline suspensions affecting the Jordanian capital in particular: Lufthansa: Suspended until June 20, 2025 Aegean Airlines: Suspended until the morning of June 28, 2025 Turkish Airlines: Suspended until June 16, 2025 Pegasus Airlines: Suspended until June 16, 2025 Tarom: Suspended until June 16, 2025 Flydubai: Cancellations ongoing through June 16, 2025 Emirates: Flights suspended until June 15, 2025, with selected cancellations on June 16 Etihad Airways: Scheduled to resume operations with a revised schedule on June 15, 2025 British Airways: Resumed operations on June 15, 2025, following earlier cancellations In addition to these suspensions, Turkey's A-Jet airline canceled all flights to Iran, Iraq, and Jordan until Monday, as confirmed by the Turkish Minister of Transport. The decision also affects Turkish Airlines and several local carriers. Meanwhile, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) has issued a directive advising Russian airlines to avoid the airspace over Israeli Occupation, Jordan, Iraq, and Iran, and to suspend usage of airports in those countries until June 26 or until further notice. Swiss International Air Lines, a Lufthansa subsidiary, has also extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until October 25, and to Beirut until the end of July. The rapid escalation of hostilities in the region has raised serious concerns over the stability of civil aviation across Middle Eastern airspace. Aviation authorities and airlines continue to monitor developments closely amid warnings of a potential widening of the conflict and its broader regional and international implications.
