‘I'm finally noticing the red flags': Ex-Sunrise host Sam Armytage's cryptic relationship post after breaking silence on post-divorce love life
Samatha Armytage has shared a cryptic post about 'finally noticing the red flags' after her high-profile split from her husband Richard Lavender.
The ex-Sunrise presenter is enjoying time off in the Cotswolds, England, between filming Channel Nine's new dating show The Golden Bachelor.
In recent Instagram photos of her travels, Armytage can be seen perched on the steps of a backyard with a red mini golf flag in the background.
She took to the caption with a very tongue-in-cheek quip, saying she had only just started to notice red flags at the age of 48.
"She's gone country... Cotswolds-style," Armyatge wrote.
"A fabulous dose of friends & fam & fresh air & dogs & tweed & THE biggest roses I've ever seen."
"Plus, at 48, I'm finally noticing the red flags (as evidenced by my face in pic four or was that the cold steps?)
"Love a bit of mini-golf in an English paddock, ummm sorry, field."
Armytage's friends and followers tactfully held their tongues on what appeared to be the latest clue about her love life and instead wrote words of praise.
"Ignoring the red flags and focusing on my peonies," said one person, referencing the flowers in the post.
"No red flags. You look stunning," another person said.
It comes as Armytage continues to share thinly-veiled clues about her dating life in the media and with her more than 250,000 Instagram followers.
'My love life is pretty quiet, not much to write home about there, but the show's love life is fantastic,' she told The Daily Telegraph's Confidential in May.
'I am living vicariously through my show at the moment.'
The Golden Bachelor is a new twist on the popular Bachelor dating franchise and will see a group of older Australians competing for the hearts of Barry 'Bear' Myrden, a widower in his 50s from Manly in Sydney's Northern Beaches.
Despite Armytage's admission about her quiet love life, it doesn't mean she's not open to finding love again.
The TV host herself recently shared a cryptic quote suggesting she was ready to move on.
"Don't be afraid to start over again; you may like your new story better," she wrote on Instagram in April.
That same month, she was spotted arm in arm with a new "wingman" at the 2025 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
Fashion designer Jonathan Ward took to Instagram to post a photo of himself beside the former Sunrise host at Royal Randwick, along with the caption, "Very special to be the guest and wingman for my gorgeous friend Sam at the Autumn Carnival Derby Day Royal Randwick @sam_armytage #royalrandwickracecourse."
Armytage announced her split from Lavender after four years of marriage in a statement to the Daily Telegraph last December.
'Yes, Richard and I have separated," she said.
"All breakups are hard, but it's somewhat lessened by the fact it's amicable, and we wish the best for each other.
The move shocked some industry insiders after the TV host told Woman's Day she quit hosting Seven's flagship Sunrise program to live at Lavender's 40-hectare estate in NSW's Southern Highlands in 2021.
It is understood Armytage has since returned to Sydney's eastern suburbs.
She sat on the Sunrise couch alongside David Koch from 2013 until 2021.
The combination of Armytage and Koch saw Sunrise consistently take the lead in the morning TV wars with its rival Today on Channel 9.

Robert Irwin watches his dad's iconic movie in viral video
Robert Irwin enjoyed the perfect in-flight entertainment during a recent trip. The 21-year-old conservationist shared a clip to his social media on Sunday showing him sitting in a plane checking the entertainment screen on the back of the seat in front of him. He tapped the Popular movies section and immediately broke out in a smile – the first suggestion the screen showed was his late father Steve Irwin's adventure-comedy movie, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course. The 2002 movie also starred Irwin's mother Terri. After showing clips of his dad on the screen, Robert turned the camera to show himself giving a big thumbs up. 'When the in-flight movie selection is elite,' Irwin captioned the video. His older sister Bindi was quick to jump into the comments, agreeing with her brother that the movie choice was 'the best.' The video has gone viral, earning 2.3 million views on TikTok within the first day. Robert Irwin was only two years old when his 44-year-old father passed away in 2006, after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb. irwins Credit: Instagram / @robertirwinphotography / © Robert Irwin/Instagram The Wildlife Warrior has publicly spoken about what navigating life has been like since his father's tragic passing shocked all of Australia. The video was flooded with comments, with many being glad that Irwin shared the clip. 'I would sob if I saw you on a plane watching this 😭❤️' Author Jazz Thompson wrote. 'Flying with pops. Indy Clinton hires private investigator to complete dossier on trolls leaving hurtful comments on her social media
Indy Clinton has revealed she has hired a private investigator to get the private details of those people leaving hurtful or 'troll' comments on her popular social media accounts. The mother-of-three, who has 650,000 Instagram followers, confirmed the move via a video. 'How it feels receiving a 64-page report from my PI after an extensive three-month investigation on all my ladies (mothers) who have continuously bullied, defamed and trolled me and my family for months n months and even years,' she wrote. Clinton looked pleased with herself as she danced around in the clip, including completing a number of jubilant twirls. Clinton divided opinion with the move, being praised by some of Australia's biggest names. 'Think I might do this too. You are not anonymous trolls,' AFL WAG Rebecca Judd wrote. 'Queen sh*t,' Perth influencer, Em Davies, added. 'This. I found out who my troll was too - it was one of my clients. Blew my mind that most 'trolls' are people we know,' Felicity Morgan wrote. Trolling remains a grey area when it comes to the law. However, if the harassment passes the legal threshold for adult abuse, it can be reported to the eSafety commissioner. The harassment could also contravene existing defamation or harassment laws. Other followers were less sympathetic. 'So, you got a PI because people troll you. Yet, you're the one that puts up all the ridiculous things you do. Exploiting your children and husband then you complain because people make harsh comments. Yet, it's never affected you enough to stop posting. You just found a new angle to get attention,' one person wrote. 'Have fun with that. Trolling isn't illegal,' another wrote. 'Your weird,' another added. Clinton spoke to The Daily Telegraph about her decision to hire a private investigator. 'Some of the defamatory things which have been said about me in recent years are extremely distressing,' Clinton began. 'I will use my platform and my voice to not only spread awareness but to make an impact.' Clinton then spoke about the toll trolling has taken on her. 'Lives are being taken,' she said. 'For me - a few months ago - what I endured was life or death.'

Miley Cyrus slammed for ‘rude' behaviour at fan event
Don't miss out on the headlines from Music. Followed categories will be added to My News. Miley Cyrus has been slammed for being rude 'rude' and disrespectful' after seemingly ignoring fans at a meet-and-greet in the UK over the weekend. The singer was at the Rough Trade East music store and bar in London to meet fans and promote her new album, Something Beautiful. Joining her was British supermodel Naomi Campbell, who features on the album on the funk-pop track, Every Girl You've Ever Loved. But as the pair signed autographs, seemingly on autopilot, they appeared to be more interested in chatting to each other, much to the disappointment of their excited fans. X SUBSCRIBER ONLY In a clip now going viral, Cyrus barely interacts with a fan who approach the table with her album in hand, nor does the singer look at the camera for a photo. Instead, she continues to focus her attention on Campbell, who also appears to ignore fans gushing over her. 'Miley looked right at her and focused on Naomi right after. Cmon Miley,' one fan tweeted on X, as another commented, 'Oh that's just disrespectful.' Miley Cyrus called been out for her 'rude' behaviour at a fan meet-and-greet in London. Picture: X 'I'm sure they didn't intend to but... this is just rude. If you can't give your attention to fans, then don't agree to autograph sessions where pictures are also offered,' another wrote, as one noted, 'I'm pretty sure people paid to see them so if you're going to charge at least be polite and give them the time they paid for.' 'Ew that's effed she prob waited hours for that rudeness,' yet another agreed. Cyrus was joined by British supermodel Naomi Campbell, who also appeared to ignore fans at the event. Picture: X Other users came to Cyrus' defence, calling for understanding as fan meet-and-greets are no walk in the park. 'It is rude. but they see 100s of not 1000s of people. To try and sit there and talk to each and every one of them is a bit much. Not trying to defend their actions or anything, just sayin,' one wrote. 'They have hundreds of fans to meet. I don't blame them for not giving one on one attention to each one,' wrote another. In a photo with another fan, Cyrus doesn't even look at the camera. Picture: X Earlier this month, the Hannah Montana star was unexpectedly heckled by fans at a Q&A session at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on June 6. The pop star was at the event to promote her upcoming musical film, Something Beautiful, which is released in line with her album of the same name. In videos posted online, Cyrus was in the middle of answering a question when a disgruntled fan shouted from the audience, 'We thought this was a concert. We paid $800.' 'Are you actually going to sing?' yelled another. 'Miley, sing The Climb!' Cyrus was heckled by fans at the Tribeca Film Festival in early June. Picture: Instagram The singer was pressured to sing at the Q&A event in New York. Picture: Instagram Cyrus then obliged and began to sing an a capella version of her 2009 hit, before abruptly stopping to ask the audience why 'you're not singing'. After handling the awkward moment with grace, Cyrus then took to Instagram to thank everyone for coming along to the event. 'Seeing Something Beautiful on the big screen at @tribeca @beacontheatre surrounded by the screams of the audience, was so worth every bit of effort lovingly laboured into this visual album,' she wrote alongside photos from the event. 'Tonight was emotional, deep, fun & fabulous. All my favourite things, but YOU the crowd were my absolute favourite of all. I love you.'
