Flashback to 2011. The NFL was in the midst of a player lockout as the league and the NFL Players Association were moving towards a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Even with the ongoing talks, the league went ahead and held the NFL Draft. The Cincinnati Bengals entered the draft with the No. 4 overall pick following a 4-12 season in 2010.
One of the big debates entering the draft was at the wide receiver position. Who would go first between Georgia's A.J. Green and Alabama's Julio Jones? The Bengals would select Green who went on to have a great career with the Bengals. But what if the Bengals had gone the other way?

Pro Football Focus recently rebuilt the 2011 NFL Draft using grades and data. In this redraft, the Bengals do, in fact, go in the other direction and take Jones, who originally went No. 6 overall after a big trade involving the Atlanta Falcons.
"There was a big debate heading into the 2011 NFL Draft over whether A.J. Green or Julio Jones was the top wide receiver prospect. The Bengals ultimately picked Green, who went on to have an excellent career in Cincinnati. However, Jones ended up being the better player.
"The two-time first-team All-Pro recorded a career 94.7 PFF overall grade and was the second-most-valuable receiver across his 13 seasons, according to PFF WAR."
Green wasn't too far off, recording a 92.2 career grade. In this redraft, Green went with the very next pick, No. 5 overall to the Arizona Cardinals, rather than their original pick of LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson.
In the end, both Green and Jones became excellent players in the NFL and the Bengals couldn't have gone wrong either way.

Last week, Flores told the media that he doesn't view Turner as a backup, and instead views him as an equal to Van Ginkel and Greenard. Flores isn't one to hype a player up in front of the media, so maybe it's a sign that Turner is coming along. But we still need to see Turner actually do it when the games count this season. Perhaps Flores is scheming ways to get him on the field without taking Van Ginkel and Greenard off. No matter how it happens, the Vikings paid a hefty price to land Turner. That means they need to see results sooner rather than later.

Bucky Irving made his presence felt immediately in 2024, finishing his rookie campaign with 1,514 scrimmage yards — 1,122 rushing and 392 receiving, which was the most by any rookie and good for 10th in the NFL overall. Now, entering Year 2 in Tampa Bay's offense, Irving has a clear path to build on that breakout season. And all signs point to a bigger role and even bigger production. Irving thrived in 2024 under then–passing game coordinator Josh Grizzard, who's now been promoted to offensive coordinator. That continuity matters. With Rachaad White still in the mix, Tampa is expected to run more two-back sets, which is a perfect scenario for a player like Irving, whose ability to create in space and contribute as a receiver makes him a matchup nightmare. His late-season surge saw him take over primary duties, logging 60–70% of the snaps down the stretch. Bucky Irving is poised for a breakout season Irving showed no signs of hitting a rookie wall. He had three 100+ yard games in the final six weeks and won NFC Offensive Player of the Week once. His balance, acceleration, and pass-catching make him more than a complementary option — he's a featured weapon. Tampa's scheme should open up even more for him in 2025, with rookie receivers Emeka Egbuka and Tez Johnson adding deep speed to stretch defenses and leave more room underneath for Irving to operate. As well as the return of Godwin Jr's underrated blocking to help open up holes down the field. With a group of talented players, the Rockets could be one of the better teams in the Western Conference once again, and this time, make a deep playoff run. It will be interesting to see what a potential trade package could look like for Durant, but there's no doubt that the Rockets have what it takes to make the deal enticing.
