Sneaker Con: Extraordinary Shopping Experience at Riyadh Season
Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, is hosting Sneaker Con, the largest sneaker expo in the world, as part of Riyadh Season's events.
For the first time in the Middle East, Sneaker Con brings together more than 150 international, Arab and local sports brands, selling exclusive sneakers, streetwear and accessories, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Running from February 7-9, 2025 in anb Arena, the one-of-its-kind expo displays a unique collection of rare sports sneakers, clothing and accessories, in addition to new and limited editions and custom pieces for collectors and fashion enthusiasts.
Sneaker Con Riyadh will solidify its status as the region's premier sneaker trading marketplace, offering attendees a platform to buy, sell, and trade. The event also marks a significant expansion for Sneaker Con, bringing over 15 years of the global sneaker culture to the Middle East.

Saudi Culture Ministry Launches National Cultural Awards 2025
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture has launched the fifth edition of the National Cultural Awards to honor unique talents in the culture sector, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The ministry will open nominations for cultural sector awards soon to the public and the cultural community. Participants can submit their applications via the online platform and the evaluation team will review and select the winners. Interestingly, the 2025 edition will feature two new awards categories: the Handicrafts Award and the Cultural Media Award. In line with the Year of Handicrafts 2025, the new category will further support the handicrafts sector and encourage outstanding talents. Meanwhile, the second new category will honor the efforts of individuals and institutions for their pivotal efforts in promoting cultural media. Canelo, Crawford arrive in Saudi Arabia to promote the ‘Fight of the Century'
RIYADH: Saúl 'Canelo' Álvarez and Terence Crawford, two of boxing's finest, arrived in the Saudi capital on Thursday. For the latest updates, follow us @ArabNewsSport The pair, who are set to fight in September, are in the Kingdom to kick off a promotional tour on Friday for the much hyped clash. The media event will be at Bakr Al-Sheddi Theater in Boulevard City, in Riyadh. The showdown between two of the biggest names in the sport has been billed as the 'Fight of the Century,' and is being organized by Riyadh Season. The undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Álvarez, who boasts an impressive record of 62 wins (39 by knockout), will face off against his opponent Terence Crawford, a four-division and two-weight undisputed champion, who enters the ring with a perfect record of 41 wins and no losses, including 31 knockouts. The press conference will be the first stop of a media tour, which will include stops in New York at Fanatics Fest on Sunday, before concluding next Friday in Las Vegas — the host city for the blockbuster fight on Saturday Sept. 13.
