Taylor Swift fans offer top tip to Oasis concert goers to avoid travel chaos at Murrayfield
Oasis concert goers have been issued some advice by Taylor Swift fans on how to avoid the mayhem at Murrayfield when getting home from the gigs this summer Oasis concert goers have been offered some top tips from Taylor Swift fans when it comes to getting home from Murrayfield Stadium where the Gallagher brothers will perform for three nights in August on their Oasis Live 25' reunion tour. Liam and Noel Gallagher are set to take to the stage in Edinburgh on Friday August 8, Saturday August 9 and Tuesday August 12. While fans are excitedly counting down the weeks to the Oasis gigs, some have been left worrying about how they will get home from the stadium which holds a capacity of 67k people and will undoubtedly be full to the max. This is an issue that Taylor Swift fans remember all too well after the famous pop star played three nights at Murrayfield on her iconic Era's Tour last June. Fans who attended the gigs will recall the carnage that took place in the capital whilst trying to make their way to and from Edinburgh and it seems Oasis fans are now starting to worry about running into the same issue as they have been warned to stay away from Haymarket station. On a Reddit thread, titled ''People of Glasgow that are going to Oasis in Edinburgh, how are we getting home?'' one user opened up a conversation about how people that live outside the capital are planning on getting home from the Oasis gigs in August. The post read: "As per title, are people chancing being able to get a train home? A coach? A million pound taxi? I'm really not sure of the best plan of action..." One experienced Swiftie from Glasgow was on hand to issue their advice to the Oasis fan. They replied: "Tip from when I was at Taylor Swift last year. Everyone will be trying to get a train from Haymarket, and it'll be f***ing mobbed. "Head to Waverly (either via tram or just walk) and get on the train there, it'll be significantly quieter, and you'll likely get a table seat as well, rather than being stuck standing." Recent performances at Murrayfield include a show from Robbie Williams who kicked off his BRIT POP world tour in Edinburgh at the end of last month. One user who attended the Rock DJ star's gig replied to the thread with an alternative solution for getting home which Oasis fans might find handy. They wrote: "We were at Robbie Williams on Saturday and Citylink buses were pretty decent. "Drop you right outside the stadium and pick you up just a little bit further away be prepared for a bit of wait though because it's busy. "So the concert finished at 10:30 and we were on the bus by about 11:30. Another user chimed in: "The buses run 24 hours between Glasgow and Edinburgh. I don't think it will be that bad trying to get home via public transport." Someone else replied to this suggestion, stating: "Make sure to book the CityLink 900 and AIR buses ahead of time, they fill up quickly." Yet another person advised to take a similar route as they said: "Citylink run all night. Happy Bus run private coach transfers from Buchanan to the event and back." One other user has come up with their own unique way of making sure you make the bus as they penned: "Head to a club till you're completely knackered then head for a bus (they run 24/7 as previously mentioned). By that time most folk will have f***ed off already." Oasis are set to play three shows this summer at Murrayfield Stadium on August 8, 9 and 12. Their reunion tour comes as the first time the Gallagher brothers have been on stage together in 16 years and will kick off in Cardiff on July 4.

Famous Brit singer begs strangers to take selfies – but they don't recognise him
Singing star Robbie Williams has been away in Amsterdam over the weekend as he enjoyed a holiday with his family but the mega-famous star wasn't recognised by people walking past him Strangers didn't recognise Robbie Williams in Amsterdam as he asked them for selfies over the weekend. The singer went to the Dutch capital to enjoy some chill-out time with his wife and family. While he was strolling around, he decided to ask strangers for selfies, similar to how he is constantly asked due to being famous. However, the majority of those asked didn't recognise the star. Wife Ayda was behind the camera while Robbie approached the strangers, simply asking them for a photo. All but one person had no idea who he was as he approached. Ayda can be heard asking: "Ok so what's the plan Williams?" As Robbie replies: "The plan is, well to get the camera on me. I'm going to ask people if they'll have a picture with me. 'I'm just going to walk up to random people and go 'Will you have a picture taken with me?' You're going to film, but you've got to hold it there [discreetly]." The first woman seems completely confused as when asked for a picture, she replies: "A picture with me? Why? Why?" Robbie responded: "I just want to have a picture with you," before the woman repeats: "But why?" However, the next person seems much more keen, as when asked, he says: "Yeah sure." Robbie then asks a variety of other people before finally, one woman knows who he is. Along with her friends, she says: "Oh, it's Robbie Williams!" Fans of the star took to the comment section as they couldn't believe only one person knew who he was. One said: "Why did only one person recognise you. i would have in a second," as a second wrote: "Why? WHY? If Robert Peter Williams kindly asks for a pic, you don't ask him why. Let's start there." Another commented: "Hehehe so very Dutch, that's why famous people love to come here. They can mostly walk around anonymously, we're not star-struck." A fourth added: "I love the fact that it's so typically Dutch that the majority of the people don't even recognise him or just stay calm." This comes as Robbie was confirmed as the FIFA Music Ambassador ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. He has written and recorded a song ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The song Desire will be used across all future tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 and beyond. The new anthem will be played as teams walk onto the pitch at every FIFA match.

Robbie Williams baffles strangers in Amsterdam by asking them for selfies as hardly ANY of them recognise the mega-star
Robbie Williams baffled strangers by asking them for selfies as he strolled around Amsterdam over the weekend. The pop star, 51, headed to the Dutch capital with his wife Ayda, 46, and their children over the weekend for a holiday. But Robbie decided to have some fun by getting his wife to film him walking up to strangers and asking to take a selfie with them. The people, who appeared to be a mix of tourists and Amsterdam locals, were left baffled by the singer's request with all but one having no idea who he was. 'Ok so what's the plan Williams?' Ayda asks, before her husband says: 'The plan is, well to get the camera on me. I'm going to ask people if they'll have a picture with me. 'I'm just going to walk up to random people and go "Will you have a picture taken with me?" You're going to film but you've got to hold it there [discreetly].' The first woman Robbie approaches is left completely baffled, as she says: 'A picture with me? Why? Why?' 'I just want to have a picture with you,' Robbie replies, before the woman reiterates: 'But why?' Slightly more forthcoming, the man next to her says 'Yeah sure' as the group reveal they are from Valencia. Robbie goes on to speak to more people out and about in the capital of the Netherlands with many others also totally confused. One woman does recognise him as she gasps before telling her friends: 'Oh it's Robbie Williams!' Fans of the star were left horrified by people not recognising him, while Dutch locals found the clip hilarious and said it was indicative of the energy of people from the Netherlands. They wrote: 'Why? WHY? If Robert Peter Williams kindly asks for a pic, you don't ask him why. Let's start there,'; 'This is hilarious and they will be kicking themselves. I'd have died on the spot The first woman Robbie approaches is left completely baffled, as she says: 'A picture with me? Why? Why?' Ayda shared the clip on Instagram as she wrote 'Can I have my picture taken with you?' in the caption 'Why did only one person recognise you. i would have in a second ❤️,'; 'Hilarious, that poor lady still won't know who you are,'; 'I actually love this and I'm so glad atleast one person knew who you were!'; 'Hehehe so very Dutch, that's why famous people love to come here. They can mostly walk around anonymous, we're not star struck,'; 'I love the fact that it's so typically Dutch that the majority of the people don't even recognise him or just stay calm❤️.' It comes days after Robbie was confirmed as the FIFA Music Ambassador ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The hitmaker made the announcement during a video call with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, confirming that he's written and recorded the high-energy track ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Co-written with long-time collaborators Karl Brazil and Owen Parker, alongside Erik Jan Grob, the track will debut in full before the Club World Cup's opening match on Saturday, June 14. In a major move for FIFA, Desire will be used across all future tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 and beyond. For the first time ever, the new anthem will play as teams walk onto the pitch at every FIFA match worldwide. Described as a stadium-ready anthem packed with emotional energy, the song aims to capture the intensity, pride and unity that defines football on the global stage. In his new ambassador role, Robbie has also invited iconic Italian singer Laura Pausini to feature on the track. Speaking about the role, Robbie said: 'Music and football bring people together like nothing else - each with their own universal language of connection, emotion, spirit and community. 'When those worlds come together, there's nothing like it, and I'm beyond honoured to be the FIFA Music Ambassador. 'Football and music have both been part of my life for as long as I can remember, so this means a lot to me on a personal level.'
