World's 50 Best Restaurants 2025: Odette at the National Gallery Singapore ranks 25th globally
We got a little taste of the World's 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list earlier this month, when the extended 51–100 rankings were released, and yes, local favourites made the cut. Burnt Ends, known for its modern Australian barbecue, and contemporary Singaporean restaurant Labyrinth secured spots 93 and 97 respectively.
Now, the full list is out – and Odette has once again earned its place among the world's culinary elite. The elegant French restaurant, tucked within the National Gallery Singapore, comes in at number 25 this year. No stranger to the top 50, Odette has consistently appeared on the list since 2018, though it slips slightly from last year's 24th place.
Helmed by chef Julien Royer, Odette is named after his grandmother, whose influence can be seen in his personal approach to French cuisine. While rooted in classic techniques, the menu carries subtle Asian flair, a nod to Chef Julien's time in the region. The restaurant's muted, light-toned interiors exude a sense of calm and quiet luxury, while the extensive wine list and impeccable service complete the dining experience.
Here are the top 10 restaurants in the world in 2025:
Maido (Lima)
Asador Etxebaarri (Atxondo)
Quintonil (Mexico City)
Diverxo (Madrid)
Alchemist (Copenhagen)
Gaggan (Bangkok)
Sézanne (Tokyo)
Table by Bruno Verjus (Paris)
Kjolle (Lima)
Don Junio (Buenos Aires)

Brit, 22, arrested at Disneyland Paris after 'trying to marry Ukrainian girl, 9'
Disneyland Paris cast members alerted the police after the 22-year-old man was seen with a child, dressed in four-inch heels taped to her feet and accompanied by her Ukranian mother A British man has been arrested at Disneyland Paris for trying to marry a nine-year-old girl in a bizarre private event. Disney cast members alerted the police after the 22-year-old man was seen with a child, dressed in four-inch heels taped to her feet and accompanied by her Ukranian mother, at private function held at 5am on Saturday, before the French theme park was open to the public. The ceremony was due to take place at dawn in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at the end of Main Street, USA and had been hired out of for a wedding, with organisers failing to tell Disney what was planned. Disneyland Paris was reportedly deceived about the nature of the event, with the organiser assuming the "identity of a Latvian national" and using "false documents to secure the contract for privatising the park", BFM TV in France reports. It is reported that guests' were recruited online via adverts seeking 200 adults and 100 children aged between five and 15 to play the guests at a 'rehearsal' for a wedding in Disneyland. Video obtained by BFM showed around 100 seated guests awaiting the ceremony as a female violin trio played at dawn before a stage strewn with flowers. The event reportedly cost around £110,000. "Four people were arrested and questioned: the groom, who was believed to be the organiser of the event and is presumed to be British, aged 22; the mother of the child, a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman; and two Latvian nationals aged 55 and 24," a statement from the French prosecutor's office in the nearby town of Meaux said. The 55-year-old Latvian man claimed he was recruited to play the role of the bride's father for 12,000 euros but discovered last minute she was nine years old, local news reports. Disneyland Paris told French newspaper Le Parisien the event was immediately shut down by its team and that guests were stopped from entering the premises. Circumstances around the wedding remain unclear, as to whether it was a stunt or a real ceremony. A medical examination of the young girl found she had not suffered any violence, the prosecutor's office said. A police source said the groom has claimed to be the director of a production company and they were shooting a video. An updated statement from the prosecutors office said: "So it wasn't a wedding, but a staged wedding filmed with around a hundred extras. They privatised Disneyland Paris, pretending it was a real wedding." Two suspects have been charged with 'fraud and breach of trust' against Disneyland Paris. One wedding guest told the Le Parisien: "We all thought we were going to attend a wedding... Everyone was stunned, no one expected it. Disneyland did things very well. "They canceled everything as soon as they realised the bride was a child. We were shocked to see that." Another extra, named Yeleen, who attended the ceremony with her daughter, said: "I saw a little girl dressed in white. I saw her hair prepared with curls and a lady picking her up in her arms. "At that moment, I was shocked. I realised when I saw the child. It was atrocious."

Alessandra Ambrosio puts on loved-up display with designer boyfriend Buck Palmer outside as they enjoy casual afternoon in Venice
Alessandra Ambrosio looked more loved-up than ever on Sunday as she enjoyed a casual afternoon in Venice with her boyfriend Buck Palmer. The former Victoria's Secret model, 44, wore a tight white T-shirt and blue jeans. Accessorising the outfit with a black handbag and white cardigan, she couldn't keep her hands off the handsome jewellery designer, 43, when they were spotted outside his shop on Abbot Kinney Blvd. The pair were seen kissing and talking, with Alessandra changing into a brown suede jacket to enjoy a motorbike ride with Buck. The Brazilian beauty held tightly onto her smiling partner's waist as the pair rode a vintage Triumph motorcycle. He cut an equally casually stylish figure in his black jeans and shirt, which he covered with a plaid denim shirt outside his shop. The sweet snaps come after it was reported that the model believes she has finally found 'true love' with Buck. According to sources, the Australian hunk has won approval from the Victoria's Secret model's children. She went public with the romance in early December when the couple were pictured holding hands at an Art Basel party in Miami, Florida. Now insiders have confirmed that the smitten fashion model hopes to be with her new partner 'for her entire life' due to the deep connection they share. 'Alessandra knows who her New Year's Eve kiss is going to be, and she hopes to have the same man to kiss for every New Year's Eve for her entire life,' the source exclusively dished to 'She has been through the ringer in relationships but really truly believes in love and feels like she finally found it.' Opening up about struggles she faced in her past relationships, the insider continued: 'She has been a serial monogamist in a sense and loves being in relationships but has been with men that are resentful of her fame and her money. 'She's been told so many times that she didn't have to work and had everything handed to her and that isn't true. Buck doesn't do this.' The source added: 'He is incredibly successful in his own right as a jewellery designer and of course he designs special pieces just for her.' Meanwhile, the star has already introduced the jewellery designer to her beloved children, daughter Anja, 16, and 12-year-old son, Noah. 'She has introduced him to her children, and they really like him,' the insider noted. 'They are the toughest critics and are so protective over their mom.' Indeed, even the model's friends have noticed that her relationship appears to be a special one as the source added: 'They are incredibly physically attracted to each other and her friends have not seen her swoon like this since [her ex Jamie Mazur]. 'But what most people do not realise is that Ale is also incredibly spiritual and the two of them relate on this level deeply.'
