Prince Philip once saw Bigfoot as he was out walking at Balmoral.
It has been claimed that the late Duke of Edinburgh caught sight of the legendary beast when he and wife Queen Elizabeth were staying at the royal family's summer retreat in Scotland during the 1970s.
Filmmaker Mark Christopher Lee said that a royal source had informed him of the mysterious sighting on the royal estate.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I had some contact from the Palace there was some sort of Bigfoot at Balmoral that the Duke of Edinburgh saw once.
"This was in the '70s."
'Flash Gordon' actor Brian Blessed previously suggested that both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were fascinated by the legend of Bigfoot.
Recalling a conversation with Philip about Sasquatch, Blessed said: "Oh yes, he said it's true. It does exist. I told them that they're everywhere."

Shaggy's songs came from 'higher power'
Shaggy believes his songs have been "bestowed" on him by God. The It Wasn't Me hitmaker insisted he isn't responsible for writing any of his hit tracks and he "honestly believes" the catchy tunes came to him as a way to help other people. "Then I did Boombastic and I was the two hit wonder and then Summertime and I was the three hit wonder. "At that point no one had seen a dancehall artist have follow-up hits. "I was the first to have multiple follow ups quickly after." The 56-year-old star previously credited taking breaks from music to do other things, such as The Little Mermaid Live! back in 2019, for his longevity because they have stopped him from "overstaying [his] welcome" in his chart career. He told E! News: "I've been lucky to have gone through this multiple times. I was lucky to go through that roller coaster ride of the fanning-out, the craziness. Everything for me is strategic. You go to your aunt's house and she's happy to see you. She's making your bed, she's cooking for you. You stay there for two weeks, [then] she's like, 'Alright, you're cooking for yourself, you need to take out the garbage.' You don't want to overstay your welcome. That's part of what's known as longevity, and this is why I'm here. "I'll take myself away from the scene, do some theatre. And then we'll come back in when the time is right. You just kind of know where you are, you look at the market—the market is always changing. The game is always changing. You always look at where your audience is."

Laryngitis forces Kylie to postpone run of tour
Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has postponed a run of European shows, having 'succumbed to a viral infection' after completing the UK leg of her tour. The Padam Padam singer, 57, performed more than a dozen shows in the country as part of her Tension Tour, with her final date a performance at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on June 6. On Friday, Minogue said in a social media post that she would postpone her shows in Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia due to her contracting laryngitis, an inflammation of the voice box. Zak Starkey would have joined the Oasis Live '25 Tour 'for nothing'
Former Oasis drummer Zak Starkey is gutted he wasn't chosen for the Britpop legends' reunion tour. The lucky sticksman expected to join Liam and Noel Gallagher on the Oasis Live '25 Tour is newcomer Joey Waronker. Poor Zak - who was behind the kit for Oasis from 2004 to 2008 and contributed to the albums Don't Believe The Truth and Dig Out Your Soul - admits he will "cry" if he goes and sees their new man in action. He told the Daily Star: 'I'll cry if I go, in case he mucks it up. "I'm sure he won't, but you know that's my favourite band. I'd have done that gig for nothing, you know? I just loved it.
