Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML)
Standing tall above the pack of ASX juniors was Resolution Minerals after climbing 78.95% to a new 18-month high of 3.4c on volume of more than 204m.
The strong support came after the company announced on Wednesday that it was acquiring a drill-ready antimony, gold and tungsten project in the Stibnite Mining District of Idaho – next to the largest known antimony resource in the USA.
The Horse Heaven project shares its eastern boundary with A$2bn market cap Perpetua Resources and its Stibnite gold-antimony project, which hosts a 4.8Moz gold reserve and a 148Mlb antimony reserve.
Once reopened, Stibnite will be the only domestically mined source of antimony in the US, supplying around 35% of the country's demand.
Horse Heaven has strong gold, antimony and silver mineralisation in two prospects – the Antimony Ridge Fault Zone (ARFZ) and the Golden Gate Fault Zone (GGFZ) – and includes past-producing antimony and tungsten mines.
Past rock chip results include up to 5.99g/t gold, 367g/t silver and 19.15% antimony, with past drilling returning up to 1.459g/t gold.
Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) said the brownfields project was a transformational acquisition, with the highly encouraging past results indicating large tonnage mining potential.
It is expected to begin drilling the antimony prospects at Horse Heaven in the near-term.
Horse Heaven is also eligible for fast-tracking under FAST-41, just like Stibnite which was fast-tracked for approval in April, and on May 19, 2025, obtained final approval to be re-opened.
The company said Horse Heaven complemented its recently acquired Australian gold-antimony-copper projects – Drake East antimony-gold project (NSW), Neardie antimony project (Qld) and Spur South gold-copper project (NSW) – to create a portfolio highly leveraged to gold and antimony.
'The acquisition of the Horse Heaven project is a company transforming event for RML,' executive director Aharon Zaetz said.
'As many governments around the world look to onshore their supply of critical minerals, such as antimony, we have secured a commanding ground position with known antimony occurrences and next to what will soon be the largest antimony producer in the USA.'
Australian Critical Minerals (ASX:ACM)
Becoming the latest seeking to exploit the copper-gold riches of the coastal belt along the Andes in South America is Australian Critical Minerals, which has entered a binding share purchase agreement to acquire Circuit Resources.
This transaction, which the company describes as transformational, includes a pipeline of high-impact gold and copper exploration projects in Peru, with silver, base metals and lithium as a secondary focus.
Circuit Resources owns or has the option to acquire the concessions associated with the Blanca, Riqueza, Flint, Cerro Rayas, Liro and Kamika projects with the first two, Bianca and Riqueza, representing the primary targets for ACM.
Investors share the company's enthusiasm with shares up as much as 27.5% to a daily high of 7.9c before closing at 7.3c.
Blanca is a low-sulphidation epithermal quartz vein gold system encompassing the Cruz Vein and is within a copper-gold-silver porphyry-epithermal metallogenic belt that also hosts Alta Copper's Canariaco and Rio Tinto's La Granja porphyry copper deposits.
Cruz vein outcrops at surface and was partially explored by Inca Pacific Resources in 1996 and 1997 with further trenching and rock sampling carried out in 2010 and 2018 by St Elias Mining.
Drilling and trenching delivered strong gold hits including 1.5m at 52.8g/t gold within a 9.5m intersection at 11.27g/t; and 4m at 3.97g/t gold including 1.75m at 7.5g/t.
ACM plans to prioritise exploration of Blanca and will immediately start the approvals process for twinning, infill and extensional drilling.
Riqueza is a district-scale, intermediate-sulphidation vein system extending over a 10km strike length and southwest of several deposits including Minera IRL's Corihuarmi gold-silver project, Kuya Silver Corp's Bethania silver project and Lara Exploration's Kenita polymetallic project.
It has undergone substantial previous exploration with copper grades from 1% to 8.7% and silver assays to 2238g/t in historical rock chip samples.
A review and prioritisation of historical drill targets based on extensive surface sampling, mapping and geophysics is underway with ACM aiming to start drill permitting in the second half of 2025.
'The acquisition of Circuit Resources is a significant opportunity for ACM, delivering a pipeline of high-impact exploration projects across gold, copper, silver, zinc and lithium in Peru,' ACM managing director Dean de Largie said.
'The scale and quality of these assets – spanning over 25,000 hectares – give us immediate drill-ready targets and exceptional scope for new discoveries.
'Projects like Riqueza, with high-grade copper-silver veins over several kilometres and proximity to majors like Anglo American, offer Tier-1 potential.
'Blanca has already demonstrated strong gold mineralisation, while Cerro Rayas and the Salar projects provide exposure to critical metals with potentially strong demand tailwind.'
Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR)
Dateline Resources has welcomed further high-level US government support for expediting the development of its Colosseum project in California.
On Sunday, US Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum highlighted the national significance of the Trump Administration's reopening of the Colosseum mine during an interview on Fox News.
He emphasised that restarting the mine was a pivotal step towards bolstering America's supply of critical minerals and reducing US reliance on overseas sources for REEs.
The mine, to be clear, has not yet been reopened and does not yet have a rare earths resource.
It contains an offically reported resource of around 1.1Moz of gold. Drilling for rare earths was announced on April 5, with the project thought to "share the same mineralising system as Mountain Pass", the only operating rare earths deposit in the States.
In a meeting on Monday at the US Department of the Interior headquarters in Washington, DC, Dateline Resources says its MD and CEO Stephen Baghdadi met with Secretary Burgum to discuss the next steps in developing REE extraction at Colosseum.
Baghdadi highlighted the mine's potential to contribute to the US REE supply chain, essential for advanced technologies and national security, sooner than any other known deposit in the US.
Secretary Burgum, joined by senior appointees from the Department of the Interior and President Donald Trump's National Energy Dominance Council, reaffirmed his commitment to bolstering US rare earth production, expressing specific enthusiasm for Colosseum, the company said.
The hope is more government support and funding could come with that.
Investors welcomed the news, with shares reaching 10.2c, a 29.2% increase on the previous close with more than 196m changing hands.
Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK)
With commissioning of the processing plant underway at the Murchison gold project, Meeka Metals reached a 10-year high of 18.5c, an increase of 15.63% on the previous close, as it transitions to producer status.
Dry commissioning (system and equipment testing) has progressed successfully and ore is being fed into the plant while wet commissioning (full operational commissioning) is underway.
The first gold pour from gravity gold is planned for June 2025 while first gold sales and cash flow are expected in early July.
'It rounds out a period of consistent delivery against our development timeline and reflects our focused actions to bring the project online,' Meeka's managing director Tim Davidson said.
"We are now focused on maximising the expanded open pit mining opportunity following the success we are having with the drill bit.
'Additionally, first ore is expected from our first underground mine at Andy Well in the September 2025 quarter.'
The Murchison project hosts a 1.2Moz at 3g/t gold mineral resource on granted Mining Leases.
Ausgold (ASX:AUC)
New high-grade gold results have extended the Datatine high-grade shoot by 240m down-plunge and reinforced its potential as a high-grade underground prospect within Ausgold's Katanning gold project (KGP) in WA.
Results of up to 6.6m at 3.40g/t gold from 362m, including 3.8m at 5.80g/t from 364.85m, also support the outlook for future resource growth at Katanning.
RC and diamond drilling also returned 2m at 3.67g/t from 297m along with 11.3m at 0.96g/t, including 4.2m at 1.81g/t from 333.83m, and resulted in AUC shares reaching a new three-year high of 77c, a 6.22% increase on the previous close.
The company will now utilise funding of up to $180,000 through the Geological Survey of WA Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) for further drilling.
This will target sections where high-grade mineralisation is interpreted to have been missed and test for further high-grade mineralisation up to 150m beyond the current down-plunge extent.
'With both Datatine and the Central Zone remaining open down-plunge, we see clear opportunities to increase resources at the KGP,' executive chairman John Dorward said.
The company is on track to complete a feasibility study in late June considering the development of a large-scale, long-life open pit gold project.

Israel-Iran War: Blocking the Strait of Hormuz is ‘worst-case scenario' for oil prices
ANZ Senior Commodity Strategist Daniel Hynes says the worst-case scenario in the Israel-Iran conflict is the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz and how this will directly impact oil prices. 'The US is the wildcard here, and while we don't know how Iran would retaliate, certainly there are scenarios, as I said, where they could try and hurt the US by pushing oil prices higher,' Mr Hynes told Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd. 'Worst case scenario, that the Strait of Hormuz is completely blocked, then, there's no manner of supply that would be able to replace that quickly.'

Barry FitzGerald: Magmatic adding serious value with WA gold deal
'Garimpeiro' columnist Barry FitzGerald has covered the resources industry for 35 years. Now he's sharing the benefits of his experience with Stockhead readers. One of Garimpeiro's pet peeves is coming across a junior explorer banging away at a single project rather than leveraging off their standing costs as an ASX-listed company by adding a second project to the portfolio. That is particularly so when there has been a tectonic shift in markets like there is now, with gold racing to more than $5200 an ounce in Aussie dollars – up a staggering 44% on 2024's average. So keep the flagship project bubbling along but use the downtime between drilling campaigns to add a gold project to the company's story because the reality is that there has never been a better time to be looking for the yellow stuff. That's just what a well-known explorer for potential tier-1 epithermal/porphyry style deposits in NSW's prolific East Lachlan region, Magmatic Resources (ASX:MAG), has done via the acquisition of the Weebo project on the Yandal greenstone belt in Western Australia. The East Lachlan hunt continues, including a joint venture at the Myall copper/gold project with Andrew Forrest's Fortescue (ASX:FMG), also the company's biggest shareholder. Myall and other prospects in the East Lachlan could well deliver a big discovery in time, and there has been plenty of encouragement on that front. But for pure gold exposure at a time when the market is in a mood to reward gold discoveries handsomely, Magmatic has rolled up its sleeves and added WA gold to its story, powering up its newsflow in the process. Magmatic was trading mid-week at 4.2c a share for a market cap of $18.1 million on issued capital, increased by the share consideration component of the Weebo acquisition. It was a 3.9c stock before the Weebo pick up, so it can be said that the added element of WA gold has attracted the market's interest. But remembering the market cap is still not challenging. Given the quality of the East Lachan interests, it could be suggested that at Wednesday's share price of 4.2c, Weebo comes at this stage comes for free. Value added That's despite Weebo having all the hallmarks of becoming a quick value-add for Magmatic. Located 30km southeast of Leinster, the Weebo ground covers about 50km of the southern Yandal greenstone belt. The ground includes two near surface prospects – Ockerburry and Scone Stone – where previous drilling has yielded some nice hits by a previous owner. They stand as advanced drill prospects and there are a bunch of less advanced prospects. Magmatic has put a local exploration team in place and expects that its maiden drilling program at Weebo will kick off in the September quarter. It is exciting stuff for a company with an $18.1m market cap. What makes Weebo particularly exciting is its location, smack bang in the middle of five gold mines with treatment plants – Vault Minerals' (ASX:VAU) Darlot, Gold Fields' Agnew-Lawlers, Bellevue Gold's (ASX:BGL) namesake operation, Northern Star Resources' (ASX:NST) Bronzewing and Northern Star's Thunderbox. While the hope would be that exploration success at Weebo delivers a standalone operation, the proximity of the regional treatment capacity lends itself to toll treatment opportunities, joint venture development and/or outright sale of ounces that Magmatic pulls together in a mineral resource estimate. Ounces in the ground In a $5200/oz environment ounces-in-the-ground are commanding a high value when there is a clear pathway to the ounces being whacked through a standalone treatment plant or one owned by a third party. By way of example only, Northern Star last year paid $12.5 million for the 177,000 inferred resource ($70 an ounce) at the Hobbes gold project – owned 80% by Solstice Minerals (ASX:SLS) and 20% by a private minority – to feed through its Carosue Dam operation. The year before NST paid Strickland Metals (ASX:STK) $61m in cash and shares for the 346,000oz Millrose deposit near the Jundee gold mine ($176/oz). Gold prices have moved substantially higher still, so smallish deposits have become even more valuable. Where Weebo ends up in terms of its scale remains to be seen. But it certainly delivers exploration excitement when the gold market is running hot. And who knows? That hunt for a tier-1 discovery in NSW could well come up trumps. That's particularly so when Mt York gets juiced up by the additional ounces expected to come from the big exploration push now underway. Resources Top 5: It's ‘Up There Cazaly' as gold drilling kicks off at Duke of York
A 2000m RC drill program will test beneath old gold workings and attempt to validate historical results at Duke of York Manuka Resources intends to restart the Wonawinta Processing Plant to produce silver and gold Ausgold is busy at the Katanning gold project with drilling, a DFS and permitting Your standout small cap resources stocks for Friday, June 20, 2025 Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) It has been 'Up There Cazaly' for junior gold explorer Cazaly Resources, jumping to 2.6c, an increase of 30% on Thursday's close, before closing up 15% at 2.3c. In homage to the stirring AFL song, Cazaly rose above the pack of ASX juniors after starting drilling this week at the Duke of York prospect in the Goongarrie gold project. A 2000m RC drill program will test beneath old gold workings and attempt to validate historical results. After receiving approval, drill site preparation was completed last week in order to facilitate the first phase of RC drilling, which kicked off this week. The initial phase of drilling is designed to validate historical drill intercepts including 13m at 3.5g/t and 8m at 10.7g/t. This drilling will also inform the next phase of RC drilling to further test for gold mineralisation along strike and down plunge. After Duke of York, Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) plans to drill the Star of Goongarrie prospect. Cazaly's managing director Tara French said: 'I am extremely pleased to announce that drilling has commenced at Duke of York, the first of many gold targets to be tested in this highly prospective district. 'Our team has worked extremely hard to obtain approvals which places us on the ground less than three months after exercising the option to earn up to 80% of the Goongarrie Gold project with Brightstar Resources. 'It's a very exciting time to be drilling beneath historical gold workings in the Eastern Goldfields, and we can't wait to see the results of this first drilling campaign.' Previous drilling at Duke of York was completed in 2001 by Red Back Mining NL in joint venture with Goldfields Exploration, when the gold price was circa US$300. There were 23 RC holes drilled for 2,084m. In 2011 Metaliko Resources completed limited work at Duke of York with three RC holes drilled for 270m. The Duke of York and Star of Goongarrie prospects are priority target areas with anomalous gold mineralisation localised in a structurally complex zone within the Bardoc Tectonic Zone at the junction of two constituent faults. Goongarrie is in the northeastern goldfields, 90km north of Kalgoorlie, and is easily accessible via the Goldfields Highway that runs along the western boundary of the project area. The project consists of 70km2 of greenstone sequence within the Kalgoorlie Terrain. Manuka Resources (ASX:MKR) (Up on no news) With silver and gold production in its sights in the Cobar Basin of NSW as a time of buoyant markets for the safe-haven metals, Manuka Resources intends to restart the Wonawinta Processing Plant that is on active care and maintenance. The silver will come from stockpiles and open pits at and around the Wonaminta plant, south of Cobar, while most of the gold will come from stockpiles at the Mt Boppy east of the traditional mining town. A 10-year Life of Mine plan will see the 1Mtpa Wonaminta processing plant refurbished and 13.2Moz of silver produced supported by gold credits with production scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2026. Restart costs are estimated at A$18.9m including the addition of a deslime circuit and dewatering circuit to the plant to enhance performance. This LOM plan has been estimated to provide Manuka Resources (ASX:MKR) with annual EBITDA of $22M at an average cost of A$35/oz silver for an NPV8 of A$101m and IRR of 109%. Wonaminta project comprises two existing and three planned open pits and has historically produced 3.2Moz including 382,000oz by Manuka between 2022 and 2023. The total 38.5Mt resource at the project comprises 38.3Mt at 41.3g/t Ag in ground and 200,000t at 60g/t Ag and 0.07g/t Au in ROM stockpiles. Mining will start in April 2026 and will see production from the existing Manuka and Boundary pits as well as the new Belah, Bimble and Pothole pits. Gold ore from Mt Boppy stockpiles will be hauled to Wonawinta and blended with silver ore during the first two years of production to deliver a payable gold credit. Mt Boppy was historically one of NSW's richest gold mines, having produced ~500,000oz gold at ~15 g/t. It is on a granted Mining Lease and has an existing 48-bed mining camp and ancillary infrastructure. The resource stands at 2.6Mt at 1.32g/t Au with 400,000t at 4.23g/t in-ground and 2.2Mt at 0.84g/t in rock dumps, tailings and stockpiles. Manuka said there were also opportunities to extend the resource beneath the existing open pit and along strike and en-echelon of the existing deposit. The company also has a large vanadium-rich iron sands resource offshore of the Taranaki Bight in New Zealand and is advancing the Taranaki VTM Project through the NZ approvals process. Manuka shares reached a high of 4.15c, a 12.17% increase on the previous close. Ausgold (ASX:AUC) At the Katanning gold project in WA's Great Southern region, Ausgold has defined one of the state's largest undeveloped resources of 3.04Moz of gold at an average grade of 1.06g/t including higher confidence measured and indicated resources of 2.42Moz and an ore reserve of 1.28Moz at 1.25g/t. That is enough for a plant with proposed throughput of 3.6 million tonnes per annum to comfortably sustain annual production of 136,000oz of gold for an initial 10-year mine life. A major ~19,000m drill program is underway including 12,000m of RC drilling proximal to the KGP designed to de-risk the first 18 months of production and grow the mineral resource. The infill drilling has delivered near-surface gold intercepts such as 14m grading 4.58g/t gold from 29m in the Central Zone that support the de-risking strategy and high-grade results such as 10m at 10.55g/t gold from 42m in the Southern Zone that support growth potential. Likewise, drilling has extended the Datatine high-grade shoot in the Northern Zone by ~240m down-plunge after returning 6.6m at 3.4g/t gold from 362m, reinforcing its potential as a high-grade underground prospect that remains open down-plunge. Drilling at regional prospects has also intersected broad gold zones, which reinforce Ausgold's belief in the prospectivity of its regional growth pipeline. Shares reached 74.5c, a 4.93% increase on the previous close before ending the trading day at 71c. Ausgold (ASX:AUC) is putting the final touches on a definitive feasibility study which is due for release before the end of June. 'It's starting to look really good, taking shape. I think it's going to be a really strong project,' executive chairman John Dorward told Stockhead. He said the feasibility study was a big step towards putting a milestone out in the public domain and it would be a critical step on the right path for the company. Besides the DFS, Ausgold is focused on permitting. 'We will have our initial application in by the end of this month to start the permitting clock, which we think is around a nine-month timeline,' he said. The current Katanning project is a starter kit for what Ausgold believes will be a multi-decade asset. The company's large landholding means there is plenty of the greenstone belt still to explore for large new gold deposits. 'We have started to actively explore that. We have enough to build a very attractive project. today, but we think it's just the early innings and very much just the starter for what we think will ultimately be there,' Dorward said. Peak Minerals (ASX:PUA) Investors responded positively to Thursday's news from Peak Minerals of a rare earths discovery, including high-value monazite, at the Minta rutile project in Cameroon. After rising to a four-year high of 2.4c on the day of the announcement, PUA today exceeded that, hitting 2.5c, a lift of 13.64% on Thursday's close. The discovery at Minta Est prospect stands to boost the economics of the heavy minerals package at Minta as monazite trades at about three times the value of rutile and zircon. Sampling at Minta Est returned Heavy Mineral (HM) results along with mineral assemblages and rare earth element distribution results. Assays were received from an additional 36 residual and 11 alluvial holes at Minta Est over an initial 121km2 and further assays are pending. The average depth of all holes reported on Minta Est to date is 4m, with all holes intersecting mineralisation from surface. Sampling returned grades of 0.5%-1.2% TREO from free-dig material in monazite separated by conventional mineral sands processing methods. Recent and historical samples show assemblages of up to 73% monazite, up to 35% rutile and up to 28% zircon at Minta Est. 'It is very exciting to release these new drilling assay results representing an entirely new high-grade discovery at Minta Est, located across 121km2 in the northeast portion of Minta rutile project,' Peak Minerals chief executive officer Casper Adson said. 'Monazite makes up to 73% of the heavy mineral assemblage at Minta Est, positioning the project as a potential high-value, world-class asset. 'Importantly, the separated monazite contains up to 22.5% NdPr and 2.7% DyTb – key magnet rare earths critical to the global energy transition.' Hawthorn Resources (ASX:HAW) (Up on no news) Although it has no fresh news, explorer Hawthorn Resources made a positive move, lifting 28.3% to 6.8c. After converting its 19.6% equity interest in the Mt Bevan magnetite project to a 1% FOB royalty, the company is primarily focused on gold at the Trouser Legs 70:30 joint venture with Gel Resources, including the Anglo Saxon project. Anglo Saxon, which has a mineral resource of 157,000 ounces at 6.1g/t, is at Pinjin, about 140km northeast of Kalgoorlie and to the east of Northern Star's Carosue Dam project. Given the prevailing higher gold prices, the JV partners earlier this year completed a revised pit optimisation study as they assess development options for Anglo Saxon. Outcomes of this study are assisting the JV in discussions with third parties aimed at determining the next stage of development and maximising project returns. An 8000m RC drilling program has been designed to infill the upper levels of the southern extension of the resource and de-risk the first stage of any mining of a future cutback. Tendering and a Program of Works have been approved and drilling is expected to take place during the September quarter of 2025.
