Prominent figures attend opening ceremony
The event, held on Saturday evening at the club's headquarters, welcomed a number of prominent sporting and cultural figures. Among them were Abdullah Mohammed Mleih, Member of the Sharjah Sports Council; Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chairman of Diba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club; Mohammed Abdullah Rashid Al Tarban Al Hammoudi, Chairman of Diba Al Hisn Football Club; and Mohammed Ali Al Dhuhouri, Head of the Community Culture Committee.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur'an. The competition was then officially launched, quickly turning into a platform for purposeful and spirited rivalry among the participating teams.
Sharjah team takes the lead
The Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club team performed outstandingly throughout the competition, securing first place and earning the championship trophy along with a well-deserved cash prize. Diba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club claimed second place, followed by Sharjah Cultural Chess Club in third, and Al Hamriyah Club in fourth.
The lively and engaging presentation of the competition's segments added to the event's success. This was credited to the efforts of Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Head of Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence and Deputy Head of the Cultural Committee, and Mohammed Rashid Rashoud, member of the Cultural Committee. The medal tally reflects the club's continuous investment in both individual and team performance development. He reported that the club had secured 58 local gold medals, along with 15 gold, 16 silver, and 15 bronze in international championships—further solidifying Khorfakkan Club's position as a leader in Paralympic sports with a strong ability to compete at the highest levels. Local dominance and global qualification Khorfakkan Club maintained its dominance on the national stage by winning the Paralympic Committee Athletics Cup for the third consecutive season, in addition to clinching the Powerlifting Cup. The goalball team for the visually impaired achieved second place in only their second local appearance, while the wheelchair basketball team currently tops both the league and cup competitions. Al Hammadi proudly noted that seven players from the club have qualified for the World Athletics Championships, and four athletes have earned spots in the World Powerlifting Championships. He concluded by affirming that these accomplishments are a clear sign that the club is on the right path to producing world-class athletes who will proudly represent the UAE on international platforms.

Dibba Al Hisn Club prepares our holiday is different activities

The "Sharjah Sports Summer" programme is one of the most prominent summer initiatives implemented by the Emirate of Sharjah clubs, with the support and sponsorship of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC). It targets age groups of children and youth through integrated recreational, training, and educational activities, contributing to enhancing quality of life and reflecting the emirate's vision of human development. 5-Week Programme The club is preparing to organise a distinctive summer programme spanning five consecutive weeks, starting in early July. Each week will include a different theme that reflects the club's comprehensive vision for youth development, according to a carefully considered sequence. The programme begins with the first week under the theme "I am Creative," followed by the second week, "Here is Sharjah," the third week, "I am the Community," the fourth week, "I am an Athlete," and the fifth week, "I am the Future."
