Jooksing: Meet the latest addition to Neighbourhood Food Hall

We hope you're hungry, because the Neighbourhood Food Hall just is about to have a brand new addition.
Enter Jooksing, the new Chinese-American restaurant served up by none other than renowned Dubai chef Kelvin Cheung and Neha Anand.
Opening on Friday May 2, the casual-dining restaurant is filled with nostalgic dishes, and they are all under Dhs60.

Split into wings, beef, chicken, rice and chow mein dishes, be sure to kick things off with some spring rolls or crab Rangoon before you dive into the mains.
For those unsure where to start, chef Kelvin recommends signature favourites including the Jooksing wings, Mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken.
Covered in bright red signage and with staff all wearing fun aloha shirts, the new addition to the hall shouldn't be hard to spot.
Named from a the slang Cantonese word originally used to describe Chinese Americans, Jooksing is being used to celebrate the fusion of the two cultures.
Catering for everyone, the new eatery is also packed with gluten-free favourites, and if you can't make it to Motor City, you can simply order online and have it delivered instead.
Whether you're after a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner or to satisfy a late-night craving, a portion of the Dhs40 wings should do it.

Jess continued: "Toni girl I loved you but I don't like b****y behaviour & pulling crying behaviour." And she added: "Why can't the girls be 1 big group cos these men be acting CRAZY." On Friday night, fans saw tension escalate between Toni and Emily as the 2025 season endured one of its most dramatic arguments so far. Friction came to a head after the two ladies took a near instant dislike to each other after Emily entered the villa as a bombshell on day five. Toni's feather's were ruffled when she overheard a conversation between Emily and Irish contestant Conor Phillips, 25. The American bombshell then found a confidant in Shakira Khan, 22, who she shared her frustrations with. But Emily later accused Toni of talking behind her back, while fellow Islander Megan 'Meg' Moore, 25, warned Emily that Toni had branded her "nosey" and "Little Miss Sunshine." ‌ An almighty row erupted, with Emily despairing that Toni was "just trying to cause a problem," and "she's f****g nuts." All the drama could be helping generate interest in the long-running show, however. While the 2025 season got off to a low viewership start when it launched on 9 June, the audience then reportedly grew by 1.7 million streams on ITVX after the first episode aired. ‌ Some past contestants have started campaigning for the series to be axed, however, and the show has a long history of being tied to the tragic mental health declines of past contestants. This weekend, Malin Andersson, who starred on the show in 2016, voiced her concerns about the way the series is made. She told The Mirror: "It should be axed. When I was on it, we were naive, it felt more organic – still scripted but more authentic. Even then, it wasn't pure, it was full of toxicity. Now millions watch it, especially young people, and their idea of love gets completely skewed." She added: "I felt disposable, like a piece of rubbish tossed aside. In there, you're fighting to be seen, to be a main character, seeking validation. It's not healthy – it creates unrealistic drama and messes up how viewers see love." Love Island has come under fire in the past for failing to support contestant that take part in the series - however, strict after care rules were introduced in 2019 after the deaths of former contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis.

The moment occurred during the filming of the American version of the popular BBC programme. Journalist Jennifer Kopf had the opportunity to participate in the forthcoming series filmed at Grant's Farm in St. Louis. The Country Living writer brought along a framed silhouette and blue glass lamps, keen to learn their value. She explained that depending on the category of your item, you end up consulting with an expert appraiser from that field in a designated area 'spread out all across the grounds'. To prevent any spoilers from leaking, she disclosed that there was one rule she had to adhere to while on set. Jennifer penned for the magazine: "Set up in between were three different filming 'studios' with those famous tables arranged for the big-time appraisals." An emerald piece has fetched a price far beyond its anticipated value. The astonishing discovery was made during an episode first aired in October 2022 and rebroadcast on Sunday, 15 June. Expert John Benjamin left one family utterly gobsmacked. The guests, two cousins, brought along a trove of inherited heirlooms passed down through the generations. Among the items were a gold novelty pencil, a decorative brooch featuring a fly on a flower, and the green stone ring that became the focus of attention. Discussing the provenance of the pieces, the guests disclosed that many belonged to their great-great-great grandmother, born in 1858. One item, a pencil shaped like a mountaineer's ice pick, bore the names of French mountains. The most startling revelation concerned the green stone ring, which the family had always believed to be costume jewellery. Benjamin valued the ring at a staggering £4,000.
