Crime drama fanatics have been entranced by Black Snow, a series earning a shining 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Currently streaming on AMC Plus and Sundance Now, and available on BBC iPlayer for UK viewers, the show has garnered immense approval for its enthralling narrative.
The series focuses on Detective James Cormack as he investigates previously unsolved cases while grappling with his personal mission to uncover the truth behind his brother's disappearance from their childhood. Although it kicked off in 2023, it's the latest season's release that's sparking fresh conversations this year.
Hailing from Australia and having premiered originally on Stan, Black Snow has been an absolute hit thanks largely to Queensland's captivating backdrops where filming took place. The series' engaging content has not only scored it top marks on Rotten Tomatoes but also generated lively discussions amongst its Reddit fan base.

It appears that the show has successfully captured a global audience with its compelling content.
One eager fan shared: "Love it, especially as someone who knows the region pretty well. Always nice to see mountains and scenery you've grown up with.", reports Surrey Live.
Another viewer is playing the waiting game, stating: "I also loved S1. We've decided to wait till all the eps after E2 drop before watching them though."
Offering their two cents, another spectator commented: "Damn, literally just finished watching the new episode, liking s2 a lot so far, really enjoyed s1."
Voicing their appreciation for the series prominence, one fan remarked: "This is such a good series. Haven't watched a good one like this in a while. I really hope they end up making a third season."
Meanwhile, a fourth fan heaped praise on the show, saying: "Brilliant show. I hope it returns for season three this year."
An American viewer, having just binge-watched the first season, shared their enthusiasm: "American here, just binged first season. Holy s**t, y'all know how to create a great story. Starting second season now."
Starring Travis Fimmel as Detective James Cormack, the gripping drama series premiered in 2019. The show follows Cormack as he leads an investigation into the cold case murder of teenager Isabel Baker in the fictional town of Ashford.
As the series unfolds, Cormack becomes determined to uncover the truth, while also dealing with his own personal tragedy - the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother in 1994. This adds another layer to the thrilling narrative that fans have clearly taken to.
One critic on Rotten Tomatoes praised the show, saying: "It could have been a disaster, but it isn't. It's a real breath of fresh air."
Another reviewer noted the series' unique qualities, stating: "This is a moody, well-made crime drama that explores a lesser-known aspect of Australian culture and history, making it definitely worth adding to your watchlist."
Acknowledging the show's multifaceted narrative, another reviewer commented: "Come for Australia's latest must-stream crime drama, and the first of 2023, but stay for a show that embraces and interrogates much more than its recognisable basic setup typically indicates."

Justin Timberlake fans gutted after Isle of Wight set 'not allowed' on TV
Justin Timberlake fans hoping to watch his Isle of Wight Festival performance on Sky were left disappointed on Sunday night. The American popstar, 44, has four UK number one singles to his name and was one of the biggest names who headlined the festival in 2025. He was joined at the top of the bill over the weekend by the likes of legendary Police frontman Sting and Welsh chart-topping band Stereophonics. Fans who hadn't been able to see the Rock Your Body hitmaker in person had hoped to catch coverage of his set on Sky Arts, which now has a partnership with the festival. But they were made to go without on Sunday night when it was confirmed live on air that Sky Arts wouldn't be able to broadcast Justin's set from Seaclose Park. Edith Bowman, hosting Sky's TV coverage from the festival, let fans and viewers know that the channel wasn't allowed to broadcast any footage from Justin's set. While an official statement wasn't read out on air, users on social media and dedicated TV forums speculated as to the reasons why the SexyBack singer's set was kept private. @MissTracey_Dav commented on X: 'Edith Bowman has confirmed Sky are not allowed to show the Justin Timberlake set – he'll never get booked for Glastonbury then!' @DarryBunne said: 'Sky Arts not showing the Justin Timberlake set tonight at the Isle of Wight Festival (through no fault of theirs by all accounts).' Elsewhere, @TheGlamaMama explained her disappointment: 'Gutted that Sky Arts aren't broadcasting Justin Timberlake. Why?' On Facebook, Edward Coppock asked: 'Anyone one know why they're not showing the final day Isle of Wight Festival headline act Justin Timberlake on Sky TV on Sky Arts tonight?' On the Digital Spy forums, user Dodrade asked, 'Are Sky showing Justin Timberlake's set tonight? He isn't listed on the EPG?' to which they were told that the set would not be broadcast. ManUtdFan17 told Dodrade, 'Nope. Edith just confirmed at start of broadcast,' before speculating whether the decision had been made by Justin's team. FlakeWhip then expanded the discussion to speculate that 'certain acts insist on not being televised, or having control over what is televised, if they so wish'. This weekend will see Neil Young headline Glastonbury, with fans of the legendary rock musician unsure whether his set from the Pyramid Stage will go out on the BBC. More Trending Earlier this year, the 79-year-old music icon surprised everyone by saying he was pulling out of the festival after finding out that the BBC was a 'partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do things in a way we were not interested in'. However, Neil retracted that statement and said: 'Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved. 'Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there! Love, Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts' View More » Metro has contacted Isle of Wight Festival for information. Got a story? WWE fans call for Night of Champions to be 'cancelled' after Iran strikes
WWE has faced calls to consider moving this weekend's Night of Champions event out of Saudi Arabia following the US strikes on Iran. The sports entertainment juggernaut is set to broadcast both Friday Night Champion and Saturday's premium live event (PLE) from the kingdom this week. Saturday's show will be the 13th PLE the company has held in Saudi Arabia under its 10-year partnership supporting Saudi Vision 2030. As well as a blockbuster world championship bout between Hollywood star John Cena and longtime rival CM Punk, the likes of Randy Orton, Asuka and Dominik Mysterio are booked for the event. The Saudi deal is a big money spinner for WWE, and the promotion has already announced its return in January 2026 with the Royal Rumble moving outside North America for the first time. With the major event just days away, many fans are calling for the company to take action and either cancel both SmackDown and Night of Champions, or move them to another location. While there has been no suggestion Iran could launch an attack on Saudi Arabia, WWE fans are concerned about the close proximity between the two countries in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry has called for de-escalation and restraint, adding that they are following the situation with 'deep concern'. In recent years, Saudi Arabia – which has relied on US support in the past – has sought for diplomacy with Iran, which mean it may be a less likely target. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Iranian state television has claimed 'every American citizen or military personnel in the region is now a target', which has sparked further fears given WWE's show in Riyadh. X user @tbrunowvu wrote: '@WWE should cancel Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. 'With Iran warning that 'every American in the region is now a target' after U.S. airstrikes, there's no way to guarantee the safety of talent or fans. No match is worth risking lives. Pull the plug @TKOGrp @TripleH' '@WWE needs to cancel going to Saudi and move Night of Champions to the performance centre or another city in Canada or the US,' added @TheGoodGary, while @coachbronze said: '@WWE please cancel the show.' And @HUMAT0N urged: 'Cancel Night Of Champions. Nothing is worth that risk, even if the risk might be small.' As it stands, WWE has not given any signs the show will be cancelled. Although Metro has contacted the company, we're yet to hear back. More information could be given during tonight's Monday Night Raw broadcast live on Netflix. A decision will have to be made soon, with WWE talent and crew set to fly out to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. According to PWInsider, crew already in Riyadh have continued pre-production work as normal. In on-screen general manager Adam Pearce's preview for tonight's show, he referenced Night of Champions without mentioning Saudi Arabia – but that could have been to keep his weekly announcement video short and sweet. It's unlikely the event would get cancelled outright, and the deal with Saudi Arabia could impact the decision. Meanwhile, it's important to note that there has been no direct threat made to Saudi Arabia, which could mean WWE and its parent company TKO decide to move on with the week as normal. The US, where WWE will be leaving from on a charter flight, has called for 'increased caught'. A statement on the government website reads: 'The conflict between Israel and Iran has resulted in disruptions to travel and periodic closure of airspace across the Middle East.
