Yokohama F. Marinos reached the top level of Japanese football in 1982 and they've been there ever since.
They've won the J.League five times, most recently just over two years ago.
That title triumph came under the management of former Rangers defender Kevin Muscat.
Three years before that, they were also crowned champions under Ange Postecoglou who would move on to Celtic a matter of months later.
They fell short of retaining the title under Muscat in 2023 as the finished second behind Vissel Kobe.
Last season saw a disappointing eighth placed finish, with former Celtic coach Harry Kewell being sacked mid-season after just seven months in charge.
Unfortunately for the club, this season is verging on disaster.
Former Chelsea and England assistant manager Steve Holland was appointed manager ahead of the new campaign in December but was sacked in April.
His assistant - former Hearts defender Patrick Kisnorbo - took over on an interim basis initially before being handed the reins permanently.
However, the ex-Australia international has failed to oversee any kind of major turnaround.
Derek McInnes spotted leaving Rugby Park for last time as Kilmarnock fans thank ex-manager
Kisnorbo lost his first five matches as interim boss, before recording back-to-back wins over Kashima Antlers - the league leaders - and Machida Zelvia.
It was a brief reprieve, however, with Yokohama losing 1-0 at Albirex Niigata on Sunday.
With half of the season gone, Yokohama F.Marinos incredibly sit BOTTOM of the J.League table.
With just three wins from 19 games, they're rock bottom at that and find themselves six points adrift of safety.
The dire situation has led to yet another change of manager.
The club have confirmed Kisnorbo has decided to QUIT the role after just two months.
He's left with immediate effect.
Kisnorbo, 44, spent two years with Hearts between 2003 and 2005.
Signed from hometown club South Melbourne, he became a key man for the Jambos playing in both defence and midfield.
He played 48 times for Hearts and scored once - a strike in a 2-1 derby win over Edinburgh rivals Hibs.
Kisnorbo was one of the Scottish-based players taken to Leicester by his former Jambos boss Craig Levein in 2005 and he enjoyed four years with the foxes.
He had a four-year stint at Leeds United too before returning to Australia with Melbourne City in 2013.
Kisnorbo quickly moved into coaching after hanging up his boots in 2016, taking charge of Melbourne City Women between 2017 and 2018 and then becoming boss of the men's team in 2020.
Kisnorbo led the club to their first A-League Championship in his first season as boss.
He moved within the City Football Group in 2022, leaving Melbourne City to take over at French club Troyes.
He couldn't continue his success, however, with the club relegated to Ligue 2.
Kisnorbo departed after just over a year in charge in December 2023.
Last summer, he took over at Melbourne Victory - former club City's big rivals - but was sacked just seven games into a three-year contract.
That was despite winning five of those matches.
Kisnorbo became Holland's assistant in Yokohama at the end of last year before becoming manager in April.
However, exactly two months on, he's now exited the role.

Scotland captain Andy Robertson has been urged to make the brave decision to depart Liverpool this summer and take advantage of the 'great opportunity' presented to him in La Liga. The 31-year-old defender has been linked with a summer switch to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid over the last week, with the imminent arrival £40million arrival of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez throwing his Anfield future into serious doubt. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed the Spanish giants viewed Robertson as their top target in the summer transfer window, though they are only interested in paying 'paying a small fee', and had targeted Aston Villa's Lucas Digne as an alternative. However, the 84-cap Scotland international has been told he not pass up on the opportunity to make the switch to the Diego Simeone's side, with a move to the Metropolitano Stadium described as 'fantastic' by ex-Liverpool favourite Didi Hamann. Andy Robertson has been told to leave Liverpool amid uncertainly over his future in the starting XI. | PA 'Robertson alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold have been the best full-backs in the league for the last seven or eight years,' said Hamann. 'They were a huge reason why Liverpool have been successful. Robertson came in for criticism last season but I think he still did a brilliant job, but if Milos Kerkez comes for a big fee then he will be the starting left-back you feel. 'Atletico Madrid have now been linked to Robertson and I think it would be a great opportunity for him. He has joked that Liverpool are linked to every left-back in the world and maybe sometimes it's best to leave when you can see you might be out of favour. Liverpool could win it all next season but if Atletico come in for him, they are a fantastic club with great supporters, he might just join Trent in Madrid. I think if Kerkez signs, it's 50/50 for Robertson.' Hearts 'still in fight' to keep Lawrence Shankland as swithering striker told what his best option is

Derek McInnes has insisted that Hearts remain in the fight to keep Lawrence Shankland but admits a decision will need to be made soon on whether he stays or goes. McInnes has made retaining the Scotland striker one of his top priorities since being appointed the new Hearts head coach last month following a three-and-a-half year spell in charge of Kilmarnock. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Shankland has scored 68 goals across the past three seasons at Hearts since joining from Belgian side Beerschot in the summer of 2022, becoming the first player to score 20 or more goals in a single season for theTynecastle club in 31 years. He has also captained the side since taking over the armband from Craig Gordon following the goalkeeper's double leg break in December 2022. The 29-year-old is considering his options with reported interest from West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia. McInnes feels, however, that penning a contract extension to remain with Hearts would be in the striker's best interests. Hearts are still fighting to keep out-of-contract striker Lawrence Shankland at the club next season. (Photo by Mark Scates / SNS Group) | SNS Group "We're in constant dialogue with Lawrence," McInnes told Sky Sports. "I've spoken to his agents as well several times through the past few weeks. Lawrence has obviously got a lot to consider. We think we are a really strong option for him. Whether we are the best option in Lawrence's eyes we need to wait and see. "There will come a point where we need to draw a line under it. Lawrence has got to look after himself, and I've got to look after Hearts. Hopefully we can find the solution because he is a player that I think can really thrive with us at Hearts. He's shown in the time here how important he is and you try not to let players like that leave without putting up the best fight you can. And we're in the fight for him. I believe we're a really srong option for Lawrence - the best option for him at this moment. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad "He's got the World Cup to try and get involved in at the end of next season. If he can score at least 25 goals in our Hearts team next season then I think it's a safe bet that he would be going to the World Cup with Scotland. There's loads of reasons why Lawrence could see this as a good option for him. Hopefully we're his best option and at the minute we're in the fight to keep him." The transfer window remains open until September 1 and while no deadline for Shankland has been set, McInnes admits a decision on his future will need to be made sooner rather than later.
