Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources.
Aside from being an all-time talent in the NBA, Kevin Durant is also a big fan of the NFL. During a recent interview, the former MVP uttered a bold prediction regarding a key member of the Dallas Cowboys roster.
Growing up in Washington DC, Durant has long been an avid supporter of the Commanders. He can regularly be spotted at games, especially last season during their surprising run to the conference championship. With the franchise trending in the right direction, he thinks they'll be adding a notable player in the near future.
This weekend, Durant was one of the many big names in attendance for Fanatics' "Fanatic Fest" in New York City. While talking about his favorite team, he let out a bold prediction. KD believes that Cowboys' linebacker Micah Parsons will be suiting up for the Commanders in the coming years.

"I think he will be a Commander at some point in his career," Durant said of Parsons. "I would say two years from now."
Parsons ended up popping up to respond to Durant's prediction. He admitted that he is a big fan of Commanders head coach Dan Quinn. The two have a strong relationship from Quinn's brief stint as defensive coordinator for the Cowboys.
"Yo, I only rock with Dan Quinn," Parsons responded.

Durant is very passionate about the Commanders and has been interested in becoming connected to the franchise in some way. During a 2022 interview with ESPN, he opened up on wanting to join the investment group that was preparing to purchase the team.
"In a perfect world, I would be a part of it," Durant told ESPN. "I would love to do it. I would love to give a little bit of my money to be a part of the Commanders, but we'll see. Hopefully it's somebody nice. I heard [Amazon CEO Jeff] Bezos and Jay-Z, but you never know."
When he wasn't giving his takes on the football world, Durant reacted to the newest chapter of his career. After being in rumors for months, the star forward finds himself on the move again. On Sunday afternoon, the Phoenix Suns agreed to terms on a trade that will send Durant to the Houston Rockets.

Kevin Durant Learned of Trade To Houston Rockets During Fanatics Fest Interview, NBA X Reacts
Source: Slaven Vlasic / Getty / Kevin Durant Kevin Durant will be hooping in Houston. The now-former member of the Phoenix Suns learned about his trade while being interviewed by Taylor Rooks at Fanatics Fest. These are one of those moments where you truly appreciate sports, particularly the NBA trade machine, because it's absolutely wild. Durant seemed surprised as fans and Rooks broke the news that the two-time NBA champion and 15-time All-Star would be heading to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in this year's draft, and five second-round picks. ESPN's Shams Charania broke the news of the blockbuster trade Sunday afternoon, which was news to Durant. ESPN reports, 'the trade can be formally completed when the new league year begins July 6.' When he was asked if the news was real, Durant played coy, saying he didn't have a clue, adding, 'We're gonna see, man, we're gonna see.' The trade is indeed real, and it will see Durant join a Houston Rockets team that has been on the rise since hiring Ime Udoka as its coach. The Rockets finished 2nd in the Western Conference and hope the addition of Durant makes them a legit contender for the NBA title, which could either go to the Oklahoma City Thunder or Indiana Pacers tonight when Game 7 of the NBA Finals tips off. The Rockets were also one of Durant's three preferred landing spots, along with the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs. The deal also reunites Druant with Udoka; they share a strong relationship, thanks to their time together in Brooklyn and with USA Basketball. The move also marks the end of the Phoenix Suns' experiments, which saw Durant team up with Bradley Beal and Devin Booker, a pairing that never really amounted to the feared big three many thought it would be when KD and Beal became members of the Suns. NBA X, specifically Rockets fans, have been reacting to the news as well; you can see those reactions in the gallery below. Kevin Durant Reportedly Traded To The Houston Rockets, Social Media In Shambles
Source: Chris Coduto / Getty Kevin Durant's days as a member of the Phoenix Suns are officially over. ESPN's NBA insider Shams Charania reports that the 15-time All-Star has been traded to the Houston Rockets. In exchange, it appears the Suns are looking to the future, getting some younger talent in 2021's second overall pick, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and a gang of draft picks. 'The Phoenix Suns are trading two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft, and five second-round picks,' writes Charania. The move comes after a two-and-a-half-year stint with the Suns, where he was paired with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal in an experiment that failed to recreate its own Western Conference Big Three. They finished the 2024-25 season in 11th place with a 36-46 record. Even in last year's playoffs, where they were 6th in the West, they were swept by the Anthony Edwards-led Minnesota Timberwolves. Rumors that Durant wanted out of Phoenix have heightened over recent weeks, as he's been mulling over trade options with his top destinations being the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets. This will be Durant's fourth team, and despite entering his 18th season, he averaged 26 points last year, proving he still has a lot to offer and some valuable playoff experience as well. See how social media is reacting to the trade below. Oakley & Meta Announce New Performance AI Glasses With Help From Travis Scott & Tom Brady At Fanatics Fest
Source: Getty Images / Meta / Travis Scott Oakley and Meta launched a new pair of performance AI glasses with some help from the goat, Tom Brady, and Travis Scott. Kicking off Fanatics Fest in NYC, Oakley and Meta hosted a special event featuring a panel with Tom Brady, Travis Scott, and Michael Rubin, moderated by Caio Amato, Global President of Oakley. The primary focus of the panel was the art of partnership and collaboration, and Rubin, Brady, and Scott were the ideal individuals to have that discussion with, as each has numerous successful partnerships with brands and among themselves. Source: Getty Images / Oakley x Meta Before the event began, those fortunate enough to gain entry to the Meta Theater were required to place their phones in magnetically sealed pouches, as it was being promoted as a no-phone event. We learned why because Travis Scott wanted to ensure everyone was in the moment during his short but very electric performance, giving his diehard fans a taste of what his complete sets are like. Source: Getty Images / Oakley x Meta Scott made sure to call his 'ragers' to the front while performing hits like 'FE!N' and 'Butterfly Effect,' which got a pop out of the crowd that could probably be heard throughout the entire Javits Center. Source: Matt Monath / Oakley x Meta Scott also wore a pair of the bold Oakley Meta HSTN glasses during his performance, providing a hands-free first-person view of his electric performance for his fans who couldn't be in the building. Source: Getty Images / Oakley x Meta x Travis Scott As for the glasses, they will be available for preorder beginning July 11. Amato spoke about Oakley's partnership with Meta on the new Oakley Meta HSTN glasses. 'For 50 years, we've been pushing the boundaries of what is possible, obsessed with solving unsolved problems,' says Caio Amato, Global President of Oakley. 'Together with Meta we are setting new bounds of reality—It is not only about pushing forward performance, but also about amplifying human potential as never before. And this is just the first chapter of a new era for sports.' For more information on the Oakley Meta HSTN glasses, visit this link .
