AEW star Bryan Cage is facing a long road to recovery after undergoing a second major surgery in just eight weeks. The powerhouse wrestler revealed he recently had a knee replacement.
This procedure comes shortly after he had surgery to repair a torn quad tendon suffered in March. Despite the significant setbacks, Cage is already back in the gym, showcasing his trademark intensity and determination.
Cage made his AEW debut at Double or Nothing in 2020, winning the Casino Ladder Match and later becoming the FTW Champion under the management of Taz. As a founding member of Team Taz, he was a dominant force before being kicked out of the group.

In recent years, he has been a key member of the Mogul Embassy faction alongside Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana, primarily competing in AEW and its sister promotion, ROH. He is a former two-time ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion.
The string of injuries began with a quad tear that forced him and his tag team partner, Lance Archer, to be pulled from a scheduled AEW World Tag Team Championship match at the Dynasty pay-per-view in April. Cage explained on social media that he decided to address a long-standing knee issue while he was already sidelined.

"With the unfortunate setback of tearing my quad, I figured F it, let's just get 'em both done."
He remains defiant and focused on his eventual return to the ring.
"Love me, hate me, or somewhere in-between, you can't deny I'm a f***** machine! Not an easy or fun choice, but I'm gonna come back ripping heads off. Especially if this is me right now after surgery."
Cage is a good in-ring worker and was getting a notable push by AEW CEO Tony Khan before he was sidelined with this injury. Perhaps, when Cage returns to television, AEW will give him a renewed push that can set him up for a bigger run with the promotion.

AEW is scheduled to hold an episode of Dynamite in Glasgow, Scotland, in August. The event will take place at the OVO Hydro arena. Joe Coffey on AEW's Glasgow Show On a recent episode of the "Reffin' It Up" podcast (transcript from Fightful), Joe Coffey noted the significance of the upcoming AEW event. He pointed out that it is taking place in his hometown and in a familiar venue. "AEW have a show in my hometown in Glasgow on August 20th, which is very interesting," Coffey said. Following his release, Coffey revealed there had been discussions about Gallus moving to the main roster. The plan would have seen them working alongside fellow countryman Drew McIntyre. Joe Coffey's Current Status Despite the potential interest in the AEW Glasgow show, Coffey's immediate future has a significant hurdle. He has recently stated that he is "landlocked" in the United States. His work visa was tied to his WWE contract, complicating his ability to travel and wrestle internationally for now. WWE broke into the United Kingdom wrestling scene, NXT UK, began with a championship tournament in January 2017, won by Tyler Bate. The brand officially launched its weekly show in October 2018, establishing a platform for European talent. The brand developed future main roster stars like Rhea Ripley and Pete Dunne. In September 2022, the brand held its final event, Worlds Collide, unifying its titles with the NXT championships before going on hiatus. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
