KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Corp Bhd's (BCorp) wholly-owned subsidiary, Inter-Pacific Credits Sdn Bhd (IPCredits), has acquired 42.50 million ordinary shares, representing about a 1.66% equity interest in Berjaya Assets Bhd for RM12.75mil in cash, or 30 sen per share.
Following the acquisition, BCorp and its subsidiaries' shareholding in BAssets increased to approximately 13.96%, comprising 357.05 million shares.
'The acquisition was funded through the internal funds of IPCredits. There is no liability to be assumed by the BCorp arising from the acquisition.
'The acquisition enabled the BCorp to increase its stake in BAssets,' BCorp said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Food Bhd's (BFood) wholly-owned subsidiary, Berjaya Food (International) Sdn Bhd (BFI), has disposed of 6.60 million ordinary shares, representing a 0.60% equity interest in 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd (SEM), to Berjaya Corp Bhd (BCorp) for RM13.2mil cash, or RM2 per share. Following the disposal, BFood, via BFI, now holds a 0.25% equity interest in SEM, comprising 2.77 million shares. ALSO READ: BCorp acquires 1.66% stake in Berjaya Assets for RM12.75mil In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, BFood said the cash consideration for the disposal was arrived at after taking into consideration the prevailing market prices of the SEM Shares at the time of the disposal. 'The cash proceeds from the disposal will be utilised as working capital of BFood and subsidiaries (BFood Group). The disposal enabled the BFood Group to realise part of its investment in SEM,' it added. The carrying value of the SEM Shares pursuant to the disposal (which were acquired since March 2023) in the books of the BFood Group as at May 31, 2025 is about RM1.95 per SEM share.

KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Corp Bhd's (BCorp) subsidiary Inter-Pacific Credits Sdn Bhd has acquired 42.5 million shares or a 1.66 per cent stake in Berjaya Assets Bhd for RM12.75 million in cash at 30 sen per share. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, BCorp said the acquisition raised its and subsidiaries' stake in Berjaya Assets to about 13.96 per cent or 357.05 million shares. BCorp noted that the purchase price was based on Berjaya Assets' market prices at the time of the acquisition. "The acquisition was funded through the internal funds of Inter-Pacific Credits. There is no liability to be assumed by the BCorp arising from the acquisition. "The acquisition enabled the BCorp to increase its stake in Berjaya Assets," it said. BCorp's share price closed 3.57 per cent or one sen lower to 27 sen, valuing the group at RM1.58 billion.
