These boots (and flats, and heels, and sandals) were made for walkin'.
1. A pair of Crocs Brooklyn Low Wedges with a fun lil' platform for going on brunch dates, strolling around the farmers market, or even posing for upcoming graduation photos.
2. A pair of classic ballet flats because you want to relive your mid-2000s glory days when you didn't have to worry about rent, doing your taxes, or mindlessly scrolling through dating apps (I'm fine).
Nordstrom Rack
Promising review:"The shoe is very soft and hugs your feet; I won't buy shoes unless they're comfortable with little to no break-in period. Think I might get the red pair as well. It's a sweet classic ballet flat that isn't too trendy." — Jackie
3. A pair of pointed-toe mules that will elevate any outfit while not killing your feet in the process. These are ideal for peeps who want to dress up but might have some high-heel aversions (read: me).
Nordstrom Rack
4. A pair of waterproof Chelsea rainboots because we're not gonna let a little rain stop us from getting out of the house when those April showers hit (that will allegedly bring May flowers).
Nordstrom Rack
Promising review: " These boots are fantastic! They fit true to size and are amazing! I bought them a little unsure of what to expect, but they are fantastic for the price. I have gotten so many compliments on them. They are snug to get on, but I just pull on the back tab, and they fit like a glove." — kittlesX
5. An adorable slingback kitten heel if you want a little bit of extra height, but not something tall enough that might make you trip and twist your ankle.
Nordstrom Rack
Promising review:"So cute and stylish! Matches everything and is simple and chic. There is a gold buckle on the strap, which is a nice touch." — Kris1082
6. A pair of shiny loafers that ooze ~cool vibes~ and are perfect for making a big presentation at work, then wearing out on a date straight after work.
Nordstrom Rack
7. A Brooks Trail Running Shoe made with lightweight foam for plenty of support while you're running a 5K or even just walking the dog. These are great for taking care of your joints while you're active!
Nordstrom Rack

Nordstrom Rack
Promising review:"I have been searching for the perfect summer platforms with a strap that I can use for work or on weekends. These were comfortable right out of the box! They appear to have a slight heel, which I like, rather than a completely flat platform; it adds some character. I appreciate that the soles of the shoe are quite rugged (Sorel style) so as to not slide everywhere." — Promisinggalaktic
12. A Merrell hiking boot for hitting up any trails or national parks this spring, and since they're topped with waterproof suede, you can pretty much wear them year-round. They'll provide plenty of support, so even after a long 15-mile day on the mountain, your joints won't be (too) sore.
13. A pair of Dansko professional clogs with a memory foam footbed beloved by healthcare workers to provide plenty of support while you're out and about. These comfy gals will keep your dogs from barkin' after long hours on your feet!
Nordstrom Rack
Promising review:"Working in a dental office during the COVID pandemic, I wanted a shoe that I could wipe down with a disinfecting wipe and one that I could take off and on without needing to touch the shoe. These clogs fit all my criteria, and they are super comfortable. There is a reason they are a top choice for nurses." — Karin Von
15. A timeless Puma sneaker with a little bit of a platform for an everyday shoe you can throw on when you're putting an array of different styles of outfits together (like the reviewer mentions below).

The Brooks summer sale is here — 11 deals I'd shop on sneakers and apparel

Whether you're hitting the trails, neighborhood streets, or a treadmill in the cool refuge of your air-conditioned home this summer, a new pair of Brooks running shoes will make the task much easier on your feet. And fortunately, Brooks is running a huge sale right now to make room for next-gen shoes, so both your feet and your wallet will be happy with this new addition to your closet. Brooks consistently creates some of the best running shoes we've tested. My favorites from this sale include the sleek Ghost 16 slashed to $99 for men and women and the Revel 7 for women priced at just $84, making it one of the most affordable shoes you can snag from Brooks at the moment. In addition to shoes, Brooks also has quite a bit of running apparel on sale as well. Scroll on to see my top 11 picks from this massive sale, or browse the entire Brooks sale for yourself from $11. Whether you're planning a run outside in the warm summer sun or inside your air-conditioned gym, this comfortable semi-fitted tank will keep you cool. In addition to its breezy style, the tank features fabric that's sweat-wicking, fast-drying, and odor-resistant. It's a win-win-win in my book. Even though this soft half-zip is better-suited for fall temperatures, it's worth snagging now at 35% off. Plus, you may get some use out of it in summer if you love to workout at your local gym, where the AC tends to be quite cold. It's breathable and moisture-wicking, so it'll keep you comfortably warm at the gym. These bright running shorts will help you stay visible on the road or the trails, and despite its 25% discount, there are still multiple sizes left. Plus, there's storage space built into the waistband, perfect for snacks, your phone, sunscreen, and more. You can find a 5-inch variant of this short on sale for men at the same price. For extra skin protection, throw on a lightweight running jacket like this one before heading outside. It's super breathable, so you shouldn't get too hot while running, but if you do, you can quickly slip it off and wrap it around your waist. This jacket is also water-resistant, so you can go for a run even if it's lightly raining. The Revel 7 is one of Brooks' most budget-friendly running shoes at full price, and right now, there's $15 knocked off its affordable price. Whether you're going for a run, lifting weights, or running errands, these shoes offer comfortable, adaptive cushioning that'll support your foot all day. Shop the Revel 7 for men on sale, too. For rainy summer days, Brooks' Divide 5 GTX shoe is the perfect solution, whether you're heading out for a run on nearby roads or trails. They're waterproof and breathable, yet feature plenty of cushioning to support your foot. The Ghost 16 is one of the most popular shoes you can get from Brooks, thanks to its lightweight cushioning with improved midsole foam compared to its predecessor. This shoe is great for long runs or walks, or for simply throwing on to run errands. The Ghost 16 for men is also slashed to $99 right now. For those looking for maximum cushioning in a running shoe, this is the one for you. In addition to plenty of Brooks' nitrogen-infused foam, the Ghost Max 2 also features an upward curve at the heel and toe to improve heel-toe transitions and a broad base to increase stability. The Ghost Max 2 for women is on sale at the same price as well. If you love to run rain or shine, the Adrenaline GTS 23 GTX might just be your next best friend. They're equipped with adaptable cushioning, Brooks' GuideRails tech to help reduce excess motion, and waterproof coverage to prevent your feet from getting soaked. Shop this waterproof running shoe on sale for women, too. The Ghost 16 GTX takes the beloved features of the fan-favorite Ghost 16, like soft, nitrogen-infused cushioning and the midsole/outsole combo that delivers smooth transitions, and adds waterproof coverage to it via the upper. You'll find the Ghost 16 GTX on sale for men as well. As the name of this shoe implies, the Hyperion Max 2 delivers maximum nitrogen-infused cushioning in both the heel and the forefoot. When this springy cushioning teams up with Brooks' RapidRoll rocker and the internal SpeedVault plate, it creates a highly responsive shoe that helps increase your speed. Shop the comfortable Hyperion Max 2 for men at a discount, too.

13 Habits Men Do Alone At Home

Some people consider it a true luxury to have alone time at home, especially if they have a family to care for. So we asked the married men of the BuzzFeed Community, "What's the first thing you do when your family leaves the house, and you're finally by yourself?" Here's what they had to say: "Make a disgustingly huge meal, pop those pants off, and read in complete silence." —Anonymous, 36, Boston "Lounge around naked. Before I got married and had kids, I was basically an at-home nudist. It's comfortable, involves less laundry, and is better for the skin. We're fairly casual with nudity at home now, but not just sitting around or doing everything naked. I miss that feeling of freedom." "Binge-watch my shows (automotive, survival, construction, etc). Take a bath, relax, and do some R&R." —Anonymous, 38, Utah "My wife has this wildly strong aversion to meat on the bone, and the sound of crunching and chewing. So, if she goes out for the evening, then it's a wings and Doritos night for me. I can eat in peace without her being bothered or complaining about the crunching of chips. That and watching old cartoons from the '80s and '90s." "Honestly, I dance around and sing at the top of my voice. Secondly, have some 'private' time." —Anonymous, 39, Edinburgh "Xbox. I know it seems obvious, but just being able to play for hours at a time and not miss the cut scenes that advance the story in the game is bliss." "I would go to the beach during the day, then buy a bunch of frozen pizzas, ice cream, fudge, rent (before streaming) all the movies I wanted to watch, and make a strong cocktail. Usually, her dog would clean up the leftovers. We promised never to tell. Oh, it was heaven." —Anonymous, 54, California "I like to slip slowly into a comatose state, doing minimally as possible for survival until about the last hour of freedom, where I do all the cleaning and house projects until my wife gets home." "I make lamb chops or steak — because my wife doesn't like them — sit out on the back porch, smoke a cigar (she doesn't like the smell), listen to music loudly (she says it hurts her ears), and hope she doesn't come home early." —Anonymous, 58, Pennsylvania "Get stoned and watch the most violent, curse word-filled movie with the surround sound on full blast!" "If my better half is leaving for a work trip or a few hours, I'll usually cook something she doesn't enjoy and pour a wee dram or three of Scotch. Normally, our dog isn't permitted on the sofa when we're eating, but I look the other way. Sitting on the sofa, dog's head on my lap while watching a game or a movie I enjoy is probably boring, but I'm happy. If it's a multi-day trip, I'll try to tackle a couple of small projects around the house." —Anonymous, 55, Washington DC "I usually tidy up the house a bit first, just so I don't have to look at a mess and so the wife will be happy when she gets back. Then I plan my meals, shooting for trying places the wife and kids wouldn't want to try. Then I usually plan a few activities they wouldn't want to do, like visiting a new brewery or seeing what sort of live music events might be happening in the evenings. Once all of that is planned, I fill the rest of the time playing video games, watching shows or movies they wouldn't want to watch, reading, or napping." "Having time ALONE that isn't more than just a few hours is a luxury I don't get to experience often anymore. I love my partner, but thanks to our work schedules, we're rarely apart aside from when we're at work. So when she goes away for the weekend for whatever reason, I RELISH the opportunity. But in reality, I don't actually do much different than I usually do — the big difference is that I can do it in COMPLETE SILENCE. Not talking to each other is NOT the same thing as being alone." "I can read or watch whatever I want without feeling guilty about not talking, I can eat whatever I want without having to consider what she's in the mood for, I can work on projects on my own time, or I can just play video games for hours on end! Or, I could watch movies or TV shows that I haven't finished or started yet, which I don't usually do if I know she's not gonna be into it. And, of course, I might have to run errands, but I can do it on my own time in SILENCE. It's very important to me to have someone who respects that I NEED space every once in a while, and she does. In fact, I worry about people who CAN'T be away from their partner for long, if at all. The best advice I can give is to make sure you're with someone who respects when you need personal space or isn't worried about leaving you alone for a few days. In my opinion, it's unhealthy otherwise. I've been in relationships before where I can't even go home for the holidays without being accused of cheating while I'm away! What kind of crap is that? (Not discrediting people who have actually been cheated on a bunch, but if you're worried your partner is out cheating, maybe you should get a new one. Just saying.) And for when she gets back, I'll usually get some steaks a few days ahead of time so we have something to cook easily, and she'll love coming home to that."—Anonymous, 31, Michigan Men, do you have a certain ritual that you do when you're home alone?
