‘Bhairavam' gears up for grand release: A blockbuster in the making, say team at pre-release event
The highly-anticipated action thriller Bhairavam, starring Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Manchu Manoj, and Nara Rohit, is all set for a grand summer release on May 30. Directed by Vijay Kanakamedala and produced by K.K. Radhamohan under Sri Sathya Sai Arts, the film has been presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios. Riding high on an overwhelmingly positive response to its teaser, songs, and promotional content, the makers recently held a grand pre-release event.
Speaking at the event, Sai Srinivas shared his excitement: 'We worked very hard to give audiences a wonderful experience. I've seen the final cut, and it's nothing short of extraordinary. Vijay garu's effort shows in every frame.' He thanked the entire cast and crew and called May 30 'a festival day for all of us.'
Manchu Manoj, emotional about his journey, said, 'Cinema doesn't see caste or background. It's our temple, and only talent speaks here. I thank Radha Mohan garu for trusting us. Bhairavam is a true celebration of cinema.'
Nara Rohit added, 'This film will be a life-long memory. Director Vijay's hard work will be seen on screen. I hope this turns into a major commercial breakthrough for him.'
Producer Bellamkonda Suresh predicted massive success: 'This is not just a multi-starrer, it's beyond that. Charan Pakala will rise to the league of Thaman and Mani Sharma. Vijay will soon be in the top league of directors.'
Radhamohan echoed similar sentiments and appreciated the team's united efforts. 'Despite the challenges, this film was made with great dedication. May 30 will be unforgettable for audiences,' he said.
Director Vijay Kanakamedala, music composer Sri Charan Pakala, actors Anandi, Divya, Ajay, guest Shankar, and filmmakers Anil Ravipudi and Sampath Nandi also expressed heartfelt gratitude and confidence in the film's impact.

These days, much of my family time is spent watching my ageing father watch KBC episodes on a loop on YouTube. I jokingly call it a 'soother' for his fretful, fading mind. His unconditional love for the show and my shared viewing with him has given me an empathetic perspective beyond my entrenched cynicism and equivocation. The recent seasons of KBC have been all about Bachchan carrying forward the mantle of the Baghban patriarch effectively to the next level. He is the dignified elder but not distant, stately but not authoritarian. He is a confidant who inspires people across age groups to share their deepest feelings with him and, in turn, the nation at large. Be it a young couple's pain at their parents not accepting their inter-caste marriage or a couple forced to live separately in distant cities because of workplace demands. It's something Shah Rukh Khan couldn't channel in his one season as a host despite his flair. Bachchan smoothly adapts to the personality of each of the contestants—playful, jocular, theatrical or serious. He might be playing the lead, yet becomes the supporting actor and ally for participants, letting them take centre-stage. He tries not to be the hero in what is arguably his best role since being Salim-Javed's Vijay. The very sentimentality and wealth creation that KBC has been critiqued for appear to be its trump cards, because it all boils down to the triumph of the underdog. It's tough to not get moved by the plight of Usmanbhai, a farmer from Uttar Pradesh, matter of fact in talking about the vagaries of income and the inability to pay his child's fee for seven months. Or Sudhir Kumar Verma, a daily wage earner, referring to his trial by fire of being scorched in the furnace of mines. How can one not celebrate the never-say-die spirit of Himani Bundela, the first visually impaired crorepati on the show? And what's not to appreciate about Jayant Dule playing for the money to build bathrooms for the women in his village? It's a peep into the social contradictions of India and puts the spotlight on the struggles of the invisibilised, and their rare shots at success. In the last episode of season 16, Bachchan admitted being the kendra (centre) of the show, but one supported by three mahashaktis (superpowers)—the participants, viewers on the sets and those watching the show in their homes. It's hard to imagine that this trinity would have left him untouched. For someone who has been mythologised as the representative of the marginalised, personifying the social discontent and defiance of the times in the peak of his stardom as the screen's Angry Young Man, it's somehow apt to see him interacting with those common Indians in his most persuasive avatar since Vijay. It's about a superstar climbing down from his ivory tower to mingle with hoi polloi and make the privileged among us do the same. ‘Jana Nayagan' The First Roar: Vijay plays the true leader for the masses in H Vinoth's film
The makers of Tamil star Vijay's upcoming movie Jana Nayagan released the film's first glimpse on the occasion of the actor's 51st birthday. The film will be released in theatres on January 9, 2026, during the festival of Pongal. Directed by H Vinoth, the film marks Vijay's last outing before he gets into full-time politics. Titled 'The First Roar', the video begins with the word En Nenjil Kudiyirikum (to those who live in my heart), the famous line from his speech as the head of his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Vijay is seen as a cop with a blood-stained sword. 'A true leader rises not for power, but for the people,' says a caption in the video. Anirudh Ravichander's background score comes with the mention of 'Thalapathy', the actor's famous moniker. Jana Nayagan is touted to be a political actioner. The previously released first look of the highly-anticipated movie had the star recreate his iconic selfie from the sets of Master in Neyveli in February 2020, while the second look featured the star wielding a whip, with 'Naan Aanai Ittaal' written as a tagline ('Naan Aanai Ittaal' is the iconic song of late actor-politician MG Ramachandran from his 1965 film, Enga Veettu Pillai.) What Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Venkat K. Narayan under KVN Productions, the film marks Vijay's farewell to cinema. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The makers have described Jana Nayagan as a tribute to Vijay's cinematic journey and legacy. Background The first-look poster, unveiled recently, shows Vijay in a powerful silhouette with his fist raised amid a crowd, accompanied by the caption, "A lion is always a lion & his first roar is incoming."
