Cassie gives birth two weeks after testifying against ex Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Cassie Ventura has welcomed her first child with husband Alex Fine, just weeks after testifying against Diddy in high-profile case. The couple already share two children together - Frankie, five, and Sunny, four.
Cassie Ventura has welcomed her third child with husband Alex Fine just weeks after testifying at Sean 'Diddy' Combs' high profile trail. The singer already shares two daughters - Frankie, five and Sunny, Four - with Alex, and the couple announced they were expecting a son on social media this Febrary.
The news has now emerged that Cassie has now welcomed her third child. According to sources close to the star, she gave birth on Tuesday at a hospital in New York City. Despite the baby arriving a bit earlier than expected, both mother and child are said to be doing well, TMZ reports.
The Long Way 2 Go singer shared professional back-and-white snaps of her posing with her family as she showed off her baby bump. In one picture, her two young daughters kissed her bump while another showed Alex cradling her belly with his hands.
She kept the caption simple, using just a pregnant woman emoji and the hashtag "#3". At the time, celebrities like Karrueche Tran, Lauren London, Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute, and Ciara expressed their excitement in the comments, the Mirror reports.
On May 27, it was revealed that Cassie was rushed to a hospital in New York after going into labour. A source told TMZ that Cassie was in labour and in the delivery room, having been approximately eight months pregnant when she gave her testimony during the trail.
Cassie's ex-partner, Diddy, is currently facing multiple serious charges, including racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking through force, fraud or coercion and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. He has denied all the allegations against him.
Earlier this month, Cassie - who was pregnant with her third child at the time - took to the stands and made some explosive claims about the disgraced rapper.
Following her testimony, Cassie's lawyer, Doug Wigdor, issued a statement on her behalf.
The singers statement read: "This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me.
"For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget. I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support, and I'm grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received.
"I'm glad to put this chapter of my life to rest. As I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy, I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family."
Cassie and Diddy were first romantically linked in 2007 and broke up in 2018. She met the disgraced rapper when she was just 19-years-old and starting off in the music industry, she was an aspiring singer and Diddy signed her to a 10-year contract with his Bad Boy Records label.
She filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023, accusing him of sexual assault and physical abuse.

Parents of baby decapitated during birth betrayed after doctor posts graphic pics
"Graphic and grisly" footage from the baby's post-mortem was shared on Instagram. The parents of a baby who was tragically decapitated during childbirth have been awarded millions after a pathologist shared graphic footage of their son's post-mortem examination online. Jessica Ross and Treveon Taylor Sr. were unable to see their first child - whom they called Treveon Isaiah Taylor Jr. - following his birth on July 10, 2023. He had become stuck behind her pelvic bone after several hours of labour. Medics did not tell the couple his head had been severed during the delivery, according to court documents. They later hired pathologist Dr Jackson Gates, after a funeral home informed them of the condition of their son's body. However, he shared a video of the baby's body on social media, showing "graphic and grisly detail of post-mortem examination" and his "decapitated, severed head", according to lawyers for the parents. Although he deleted the video from Instagram, he posted a further two just a few days later, all of which the couple said were shared without their permission, the Mirror reports. Cory Lynch, a lawyer for the couple told Fox 5 Atlanta: "For him to post these images and videos without permission was insane to us. "And especially with the nature of the posts... of the grisly details of the autopsy examination and also pictures of the child's head. It was baffling that he would do something like that." In September 2023, Ms Ross and Mr Taylor took legal action against Gates and the firm Gates Rapid Diagnostic Laboratory of Atlanta. The doctor did not respond, leaving the State Court in Fulton County, Georgia, to decide the case. The pathologist's lawyer Ira Livnat, who was hired after the court's decision, claimed this resulted in the case ending in favour of the parents, stating: "The plaintiffs got the absolute best case." On Wednesday, June 19, the court awarded Ms Ross and Mr Taylor $2.25million (£1.6million). Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! A statement from the couple's lawyer said: "While we are pleased that a jury punished Dr. Jackson Gates for his reprehensible behavior, nothing can ease the pain that the parents, Jessica Ross and Treveon Isaiah Taylor Sr., have experienced in losing their baby boy in such a horrific way." "After the decapitation of their baby, Gates poured salt into the couple's already deep wounds when he betrayed them. "This young couple trusted him with the remains of their precious baby. Gates, in turn, repaid this trust by posting horrific images of their child for the world to see." A lawyer for Gates said the doctor "deeply, deeply regrets any harm" but in a social media post that has since been removed, he called the outcome "a complete miscarriage of justice" declaring that he intended to appeal the decision. Gates said he still shares post-mortems online, according to Atlanta News First.

JoJo Siwa gives major update with Chris Hughes romance and talks wedding plans
JoJo Siwa has revealed that she is open to discussions about marriage after the relationship between her and Chris Hughes was finally confirmed after their CBB exit JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes' romance since leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house has been the main subject of discussion when it comes to reality TV relationships. And while at first they were keen to remain tight-lipped over their budding romance, it seems now the former Dance Moms star, 22, has opened up about the possibility of marriage. Singer JoJo has gushed that things are "going great" with Chris who she describes as her "favourite person in the world." And when grilled on marriage plans, JoJo said she had "so many thoughts" when it came to one day walking down the aisle with Chris. Before joining the Celebrity Big Brother house, JoJo publicly identified as a lesbian and was in a relationship with non-binary dancer Kath Ebbs, but has since revealed she identifies more with calling herself queer. When asked about the unfair scrutiny surrounding her sexuality, JoJo told TMZ:"The thing is, love is a beautiful rainbow and I think that the LGBTQIA+ community needs to remember that love is love and think the hate from within the community is something I've learned a lot from and I think that a lot of people get to grow from and I'm on of those people. "I think that again I can give you an example of love is love, you can be happy..." JoJo flew back to her home in America after spending time with Chris at his pad in the UK, where the couple finally confirmed their relationship. Last week, JoJo sent fans into a spiral after she announced she was postponing her US tour which was due to commence on July 10. The announcement was shared on the website and informed fans that the dates had been postponed and those who had bought tickets were to be refunded. Fans were then questioning if she was planning on a more permanent stay in the UK as the announcement teased that there would be more shows in Europe. This came just days after it was reported the star had been dropped by her record label Columbia. The website now reads: "I've got some news that breaks my heart to share... my US tour has to be postponed. I promise I'll be back before you know it to perform for all the beautiful people in the US!... Announcements will be coming soon, including some Europe shows!:)" It added: "Thank you so much for your understanding and support. I can't wait to see you all soon! To my Dream Guest VIPs, my team will be reaching out to you individually to plan something special. Refunds will be issued at point of purchase." Since being reportedly dropped by her label, JoJo was determined to continue with her music career and released her latest song Bulletproof on her own. According to The Sun, JoJo and Chris have also been in talks with ITV bosses surrounding the possibility of launching their own reality TV show. And things appear to be moving fast as it is being set to air on ITV2 later this year. A source told the publication: "It's still in the early stages but ITV really think they'd be amazing TV with their own show. Fans around the world are obsessed with their relationship and there are so many TikTok accounts devoted to their love story." They added: "Chris and JoJo are keen too, and while there is no deal signed yet, the talks have been really promising."

Beauty And The Geek star charged with murder after partner's body found
The star of Beauty And The Geek remains in police custody as the investigation continues. A former reality TV star has been arrested and charged with murdering her partner after he was found dead in what emergency services described as a "grisly scene". Mercy crews were called to the couple's home in Port Lincoln, South Australia at 3.25pm on Thursday, June 19 amid "reports of a small fire", with the man's body found inside. The 34-year-old star, whose identity has not been disclosed, appeared in the show Beauty And The Geek, which aimed to match a "nerd" to a beautiful woman. According to local newspaper The Courier Mail, she was arrested and later charged with murder. South Australia Police confirmed both the suspect and victim were known to each other. The woman was refused bail and remains in police custody. Major crime officers and forensics teams travelled to Port Lincoln to help local police with their investigation, the Mirror reports. A neighbour described her as "really nice, very pleasant, polite", on hearing the news. A statement from South Australia Police read: "When police entered the property, they located a man deceased inside the premises. A 34-year-old Port Lincoln woman has been arrested at the scene and has been charged with the man's murder." It continued: "She has been refused police bail and may appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today. Detectives from Major Crime Investigation Branch and Forensic Response Section officers flew to the scene last night and are assisting local police with the investigation." The force added: "Police believe both the man and woman are known to each other and there are no community safety concerns." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Ian Parrott, an officer from the force, said: "I can reassure members of the community that this is not a random incident." He added: "We understand that the female who has been arrested and the deceased male both lived at this address." It is understood the couple had recently moved in together. Parrott added: "It is still very early stages of this investigation and it's likely that the Major Crime investigators and the forensic response members will be there most of today." A cause of death is yet to be confirmed. At the time of speaking to local media, the victim's family had not been informed, meaning certain details of the investigation could not be released. A suppression order has been put in place, preventing the victim's identity or details of his death being published, as well as the identity of the suspect, which will be reviewed by a court next week. The woman is said to have been held under the Mental Health Act, and has not been granted bail. A date has been set for her to appear in court in December.
